This is in Maverick's POV. Maverick and Rowan are heading out to participate in a ghost tour.
This Week's Snippet Below.

"Though I'm not sure what I'm ready for. Do I hope to see a ghost or if I should say a silent prayer that I don't."
He grinned. "It's all in
fun. Besides, if a ghost tries to get you, I promise I'll save you." He
waved his hand in front of him like a gallant knight for her to go down the
stairs ahead of him. "After you."
"Who's going to save you?" she threw over her shoulder and she bounded down the stairs.
"You, of course." This made her chuckle.

80s rock star, Haley Rose went missing without a trace on October 31, 1988, and was eventually presumed dead. Three decades later, a thirty-year-old woman, Rowan Beckett recalls things only Haley Rose would know and she can belt out songs in the same fashion as the missing 80s star. However, Rowan couldn't be the missing rock star since the woman would now be in her fifties. Could Haley Rose have come back reincarnated as Rowan Beckett?

Maverick smoothed down his hair, the strands still damp from his shower. He wore blue jeans and a short-sleeve T-shirt. The weather was comfortable despite the heat earlier in the day, thanks to the Santa Ana winds California was plagued with this time of year. There would be hot, dry weather for the next few days according to his weather app on his phone.
The door swung open. Rowan chose to wear laid back attire too– jeans and a loose white blouse, and tennis shoes. "Hi," she said with a smile and stepped outside to lock her door. His gaze slid down as he admired how those jeans fit her curves. Luckily, he had refocused his gaze by the time she turned her baby blues on him.
"You ready?" he asked.

Heart and Soul closed at six on Sundays and Maverick scheduled the ghost tour at the abandoned water park for that night. It gave them plenty of time to clean up and make it to the meet-up by nine. Thank goodness, Katie was onboard to go but he had a hunch she cleared her calendar to keep an eye on him. It was probably a good idea that she did.
Maverick stepped outside his
apartment and headed to Rowan's. He lifted his hand and let it fall on her
door. They were going to drive together. Katie planned to meet them there with
her date. He wondered how long this one would last? Anyone had to be better
than the last bloke she dated, who hadn't held a job more than a month at a
time.

This Week's Snippet Below. Last week Nash wanted Lulu to tell him Little Miss' real name.

Lulu opened her mouth to tell him, but then for some
reason thought better of it. She sashayed over to him and put
her arms around his neck, drawing his attention. "Forget her
honey; she won't go for a tumble. You let her alone and let
Lulu take care of you."
He hesitated. He had wanted Lulu before the woman with
the whiskey-rough voice and sea-green eyes came bounding
inside his room. Well, who was he kidding? Lulu's hands were
becoming quite persuasive, but still, his gaze wavered toward
the window. The street bustled with rough and ready
cowpokes, but there was no sign of the agile temptress who'd
made her escape. He sighed with regret before he allowed
himself to fall under Lulu's charms, and after a while, he
forgot about the enchanting pixie.

The pixie appeared dazed. Her face tilted up, her mouth
parted in anticipation as if she still sought his lips, but then in
a blink of an eye, her expression turned murderous. He knew
that look, had seen it enough times when he hauled in
hardened outlaws. His life at this moment was uncertain, but
all he could think about was kissing her again. He took a step
to do so, but her words cut through him as if she wielded a
knife in those delicate hands.
"Was that all you got, lover?" Her gaze traveled over him with brazen regard. "I think you still owe me." Her gaze shifted to Lulu who covered her mouth to suppress a giggle.
