Heart and Soul closed at six on Sundays and Maverick scheduled the ghost tour at the abandoned water park for that night. It gave them plenty of time to clean up and make it to the meet-up by nine. Thank goodness, Katie was onboard to go but he had a hunch she cleared her calendar to keep an eye on him. It was probably a good idea that she did.

Maverick stepped outside his
apartment and headed to Rowan's. He lifted his hand and let it fall on her
door. They were going to drive together. Katie planned to meet them there with
her date. He wondered how long this one would last? Anyone had to be better
than the last bloke she dated, who hadn't held a job more than a month at a
time.
