Jubilee Celebrations and Our First Choir Performance (#TheSundayPost)
The Latest in my life
Although my chronic pain issues continue, I’ve had lots of distractions this week because I’ve been off work for half term. We went for a lovely day out in Skegness (our local seaside town) last Saturday as my daughter was booked in for her 2nd Covid vaccination and we thought we might as well make a day of it. We had a nice meal out while my daughter explored the soft play area, and then we visited Natureland Seal Sanctuary in the afternoon, which was great fun.

I’m so done with this pain (#TheSundayPost)
The Latest in my life
The last couple of weeks have been tough. Pain from my chronic tension headache, toothache, sinuses and TMJD has been worse than ever and is starting to get me down. I’m taking the maximum dose of my prescribed painkillers and it’s making me more forgetful and giving me nausea and motion sickness. But I can’t manage my normal activities without them. My physiotherapist has said he’ll refer me to a muscular-skeletal doctor for further investigation if it carries on. ...

Holiday in Rutland, Easter Eggcitement and Finding My Voice (#TheSundayPost)
The Latest in my life
I’ve not done one of these for about a month due to the Blogging from A-Z Challenge.
I had a lovely two-week break at the beginning of April, during which I met up with friends, attended my virtual writing group and treated myself to an Indian head massage in an attempt to cure my chronic tension headaches and shoulder pain. It did ease it for a while, and I managed to go for quite a few days on just one dose of painkillers, which was a great relief. Physio also...

Writer Highs & Lows (#IWSG May 2022)

I didn’t work on any writing projects last month as I was tied up with the Blogging from A-Z Challenge. I have, once again, lost my writing mojo. Lately, life has seemed like a blur of work stress, family disasters, and one illness after another. When I’ve had a bit of spare time I’ve been prioritising my own health and spending quality time with family. But this month I really want to get back in the saddle and get writing and reading regularly again. It’s such a big part of who I am th...

Today I’m continuing with the Blogging from A-Z Challenge! I’ll be posting every day except Sundays throughout April. This year, my readers voted for the theme “My Favourite Book Quotes”. So I’ve collected together the quotations that move me, inspire me and make me smile. I hope you enjoy them!
For letter W, I’m focusing on William Shakespeare, who is probably the most quoted author of all time. It was quite a struggle to narrow down my favourite quotes to the selection here! Wh...
