The worst scenario, when you have some important tasks to complete and you find yourself scrolling through social media; reading and replying to chats, regularly checking email notifications, and finally ending up on YouTube videos. What do I mean by external and internal triggers? Well, let me start with the external trigger of distraction; it is anything around or conditions that take our mind from our ideal goals and make us less productive in our business or career. For instance, you have decided to complete a task on the internet, but as soon as you take your smartphone, you will be scrolling through Instagram photos and doing something else. In this case, your smartphone has become an external trigger to your task and has made you less productive. Much of the time, we succumb to these distractions because we’re looking for one, such as when we check email or feeds when we should be working on something with substance.

Internal triggers are our thoughts and emotions. It can also include emotions about life circumstances, the task you are working on, fears, and worries. Circumstances like significant world events and personal struggles can be sources of internal distractions. It happens to me when I will be daydreaming about my goals instead of taking action and making them become a reality. Most of the time, we get distracted, not only in our workplace but also in our social life. Internal distraction is the cause of procrastination and laziness. 

Prevention Is better than cure, so it’s essential to find ways to keep these distractions to a minimum in the first place.

Turn Off Smartphone Notifications: To be distraction-free, you have to turn off any unwanted smartphone notifications. It can be a group chat, gaming notifications. And again, limiting the time we spend on social media is also a take to reduce an external distraction. 
Clarify Your Intention: As a young entrepreneur, one of the external distractions to your career is your friends. Believe it or not, some toxic friends can ruin your plans. Others will not even believe in your dreams and will make every effort to convince you to be like them. Therefore, it’s advisable to let them know what you’re up to so that they don’t disturb your peace of mind. Others will see you as arrogant or may think you have changed and you longer mingle with them. Never mind! After all, this is your life, and it is going to affect you if you don’t take a stand. Those who are with you will understand your decision and give you their support.

Check up on yourself: Start by looking within. Ask yourself what’s going on? What’s the source of your flightiness or anxiety? What do you need to be working on in your life? Finding these internal triggers will help you stop putting pressure on yourself and focus on life and business.
Get Enough Sleep: According to research, lack of sleep magnifies distractedness. Make sure you get enough sleep and take a break from work as possible. Multitasking is also a sign of distraction; you don’t have to do everything at once. Take advantage of resources and tools to help your business grow with little effort and less time-consuming.

Getting into the habit of planning your day will help you stay focused during the day and avoid wasting time on unimportant things. With the list in place, you’re able to relax and prioritize items that fit with your most important goals and strategy.

I let them know my intentions with a simple message like, “I would not be able to reply to your chats for this week, but will surely reply to you later please.” I do this to put myself in distraction-free mode. 

However, I recommend that you go up to the people who are most likely to disturb you and let them know your intentions. It could be your relatives, friends, and co-worker. You can politely tell someone you need to work on a specific task, without hurting their feelings.

Give yourself frequent breaks

Frequent time breaks are significant to give your brains a rest and let you focus on other small valuable things. To overcome distraction, give yourself a shorter time frame so that your mind can refresh and energize for productive results.

It could be taking a walk, stretching, or using your smartphone to catch up with your set goals.

Finalize Your Distractions

Knowing your distractions can help you to avoid them and stay on track. Examine yourself by identifying your major problem areas, and put walls around you so you can focus better on your dreams.

However, if luck is in your hands and you get accepted, your products will also start popping up on Amazon.com and Amazon is the best online shopping platform in the world, so yeah you’ll make a lot of money from it! Now let’s start!

After you create your account, you’ll need to upload your designs on the sites. It is important that you make your designs yourself and do not copy someone else’s design or use copyrighted phrases and words like musical notes, famous quotes, actor names, etc. You can see other designs just for the sake of getting an idea of what your design should look like.

In Redbubble I think you can add up to 50 tags. Try to add all tags related to your topic for example for this specific design I will add, JDM, JDM CARS, JDM SPORTS CAR, EAT SLEEP JDM, RACE CAR, JAPAN, JAPANESE CARS, CAR GUYS, JDM LOVER, FANCY CARS, etc.

Print On Demand is not a quick-rich scheme, it can take time to get your first sale, but once you get the first sale, your rankings will start to go higher and you’ll see more and more visitors coming to your store.

In my experience, I was only getting 1-2 views a month. After 3 months I had 6 views and 1 sale. I was not expecting any sales. I woke up in the morning and read an email saying that I had made a sale, But after that my rankings started to get better and more and more people are coming.

Even though stickers are very cheap and won’t give you much commission, they are also sold more than everything else which means if you get one design right, you can also make as much money as a popular t-shirt if not more!

In this blog post, I’ll cover how to add the top 5 Posts (from the past 30 days) to your curated list of Popular Posts. This feature will keep your readers hooked on your content, and they’ll want to return for more.

Prerequisites:

You’ll need the MonsterInsights Pro plugin.

You’ll need to install and activate the Dimensions Addon (available to Pro level customers and above).

As a beginner blogger that is new to Pinterest and blogging business, learning the best practices for driving consistent traffic can be overwhelming.

The tips listed below reflect the hard work and experience of various successful bloggers, and online entrepreneurs, they’re successful on Pinterest and I’m pretty sure that their Pinterest growth strategies will help you grow on Pinterest.

“Everything you do on Pinterest should be aligned with your Brand and Blogging Niche – this includes your Pinterest Boards, the Pins you decide to pin, the categories and keywords you use, and the people you decide to follow.

I made the mistake of trying to be an expert in everything and failed to attract the audience I wanted.

Narrow your focus and you will notice a rise in engagement and followers almost immediately.

The minute I pulled down the boards that weren’t in my niche and stuck to posting pins that were only in my niche, I noticed a substantial growth in blog traffic and tripwire sales.

Doing just this much will make a world of a difference to your Blog and your Pinterest account.”

2. Lisa Tanner – Lisa Tanner Writing

“Don’t be afraid to create new pins for your older posts. You don’t have to put them all on your actual blog, but having multiple options for each post can help get more eyes on your content.

It’s a great way to get some momentum going on a post that has been dormant for a bit.

This also allows you to do some A/B testing so you can see what your audience responds to the most.

It can really help you discover what works for you since every blog will need a slightly different pinning strategy.”

“Once you’ve created your blog, you’ll need to put together a Pinterest strategy that drives traffic back to your blog.

I’m not going to share a specific strategy or tactic. Instead, we need to talk about validating what you put into your strategy.

Here’s what you need to know:

Don’t blindly follow best practice advice, even that which you learn from this article.

In general, best practice advice is a great starting point but you get the most mileage from your efforts when you experiment for yourself.

There are two main issues with most best practice advice:

1) It might not be relevant in your niche.

2) So many people might follow the advice that it no longer works.

So, before implementing any advice, you need to ask yourself – is this niche dependent? Or are too many people already following this advice for it to work?

A good example is the colors and styling of your pins. If someone says go for a specific style because it stands out, then loads of people follow the same advice. Eventually, everyone does it and it no longer stands out.

Instead, you would need to look at what is being shared in your niche and make sure your pins stand out amongst what is being shared at the time.

And, in future, it would be a good idea to check what style of images people are using. If trends change, create new pins for your top-performing content and reshare them.

It’s important to mention that some best practice advice is worth following regardless but you should always consider the two points I mentioned above.

Then you will know how to create a Pinterest strategy that’s built around your business and not someone else’s. And you will become the trendsetter rather than chasing trends that are losing steam.”

“Consistency. The more consistent you are with pinning and SEO, the more exposure you get on Pinterest.

I must also add patience because Pinterest can be a long-term game to many and the algorithm changes quite often.“

Images Should Focus on Pain, Not Desired Result

Choose images for your pins that reflect the pain and agony of the problem or challenge you’re solving in your blog post.

If your content is about taking better photos, use a blurry low-quality photo in your pin. 

If your photo is about weight loss, include overly greasy food, or a rolly belly in your pin. That last one may be controversial, but I really don’t care. Take their pain and rub their face in it. Oldest trick in the marketing book. If it’s tasteful, it will sell.

Content-Length

Pinterest users are visual. They choose Pinterest because they’re likely looking for short-form articles —so give them what they want.

Make pins point to content that’s quick and easy to consume. A 3 minute Youtube video, or a 400-600 word article.

6. Raelyn Tan

“My advice for new bloggers to stop obsessing over how many times you should pin a day, or whether you should do manual or automated pinning.

Instead, focus on creating attention-grabbing pins and fresh content on a consistent basis.

Quality and quantity will rise to the top, not that shiny new tactic that a Pinterest guru claimed made “all the difference” to their traffic.

A lot of times, bloggers get distracted by having the “perfect pinning strategy” but miss out on what is more important – content and how their pins look.”

7. Leila Kartforosh – Living Like Leila

“Create multiple pin styles/designs for every blog post. Your audience will have an eye for different colors, designs, fonts, etc.

So they may scroll past one pin, but then see the same pin with a different style and click or save that one.

From there you can determine which styles perform best, eliminate the ones that don’t, and keep testing new designs!”

“The best way for a new blogger to use Pinterest for traffic is to start with creating a strong content foundation. This means setting up a business account, figuring out which categories your audience is most interested in, and then optimizing your profile on Pinterest to reflect that.

At the end of the day, people don’t care about what you do, but how you can help them. Your content should aim at solving your audience’s problems.

“Improve the quality of your pins and be consistent with fresh content. Find out what works in your niche and focus on creating pins that are intriguing but designed well. 

Some useful basic design tips are to make sure your text overlay is aligned well (either centered, to the left or right) and not messy. Use contrast to make things “pop” off the page. Think about what you want people to see first aka hierarchy (make certain words or images stand out in order of importance). Be consistent with fonts and colors for your brand (this makes creating fresh pins easier too!) 

Too many people get caught up in strategies and often their pin design is what’s holding them back.”

“Growing your traffic with Pinterest is a true test of patience. It takes at least 3-6 months to see results from consistently pinning new content.
