Top 3 High Demand Freelance Skills of 2021

India has the second-largest population of freelance workers in the world. Depending upon which figures to refer to, India is home to between 22 million to 25 million freelancers in almost every profession and vocation. And projections are, this number is expected to grow to about 30 million by the year 2025 or about five years from now.

And there are very strong reasons for this growth too.

Reasons for Growth of Freelancing

You might wonder why the number of freelancers in India is growing. And rightly so. Because traditionally, most educated Indians look for stable jobs that provide a monthly income and other perks as well as opportunities to create a career.

Therefore, I’ll provide the main points why freelancing is gaining ground rather rapidly in India.

Freelancers in India earn a median income of Rs.2 million and above per year. This works to a whopping Rs.166,666 on average, per month. And this income is something that most regular jobs won’t fetch you.
Flexible working hours are the greatest attraction among freelancers in India. That’s because Indian people have close family and social ties and spend a lot of quality time on these vital elements of life. Working on flexible hours helps them lead a happier family and social life.
Commutes in India can be painfully long. For example, an officegoer in Mumbai spends average four hours to commute between home and office, often using crowded and uncomfortable public transport systems. Those who drive or ride a vehicle to work usually face severe traffic snarls. And of course, high gasoline expenses.
Large Indian and foreign companies no longer hire people for specific skills. Instead, they outsource these tasks from freelancers on a project basis. This helps companies select from a very vast pool of talent that prevails in India while keeping the payroll shorter and dispensing with the need to invest in renting or buying office spaces.
India is the seventh-largest country in the world, in terms of landmass. Therefore, any small or large business faces immense problems when expanding operations to various states and newer territories. Therefore, they enter these markets with the help of local freelancers. This helps the company to gauge the market and adapt products or services depending upon feedback from a freelancer and consumers.

What This Means

Given these facts, it’s obvious that freelancing in India is not just here to stay. But it’s indeed going to flourish in every way. Expanding Internet connectivity is also one of the major factors that will lead to a boom in India’s freelancing market.

This brings us to another extremely vital question: What are the top, high demand freelancing skills in 2021 and beyond? What do you require to become a successful freelancer in 2021 and beyond?

Here’re my answers.

Top 3 High Demand Freelance Skills for 2021

I’m providing a curated list of the top 3 high-demand freelancing skills that can help you earn a very lucrative income, either full-time or part-time.

Digital Marketing (Median Pay: Rs.1,277/ Hour)

I rank digital marketing as the topmost freelance skill for the year 2021 and beyond. And there are very strong reasons for my choice. Global research and advisory company, PricewaterhouseCoopers estimates, India will require at least two million digital marketing professionals to drive the country’s eCommerce industry and related sectors, by 2022.

However, estimates from various core sectors of India such as Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), healthcare and hospitality, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), and others combined, there would definitely be a need for at least five million digital marketing professionals by the year 2022.

Digital marketing opens your doors to as many as six different careers. And digital marketing is a collection of various processes. If you complete a digital marketing course from an excellent academy and excel at an internship, it’s possible to earn a lot of money as a freelancer. Micro, Small, and Medium Scale Industries that require an online presence and would look for your services.

Online Tutoring (Median Pay: Rs.1,750/ Hour)

Globally, the online tutoring industry will be worth more than US$114 billion by 2023, or about three years from now. Online tutoring basically involves teaching a single student, a group of learners, or even an entire classroom using Internet-based resources such as video conferencing. Online tutoring is generally a mix of live and interactive sessions as well as recorded videos, written content, and audio files.

Unfortunately, not many Indians are aware they can earn millions of Dollars. However, if you know how to teach a subject or some skill that helps people, online tutoring would be one of the top, high demand freelancing skills for 2021.

You would definitely ask what kind of lessons or subjects do you need to teach online. Actually, there’re no limits. You could become a freelance online tutor for any Primary school subject, English or other languages, math, science, or even complex medical and engineering topics. And if you don’t have these skills, simply use your passion or hobby such as cooking or photography to train people online. You’ll find takers for all kinds of online courses.

Financial Consultant (Median Pay: Rs.1990/ Hour)

And finally, the best and top, high demand freelancing skill for 2021 remains Financial Consultancy. Why’s that? Because India has the highest population of millennials in the world, at over 40 percent of the total number of people in this country. And most of them are well qualified or earn a very high income. However, they’re unaware of what to do with the surplus money that remains after meeting expenses. On the other hand, some go on spending binges.

That’s exactly where the freelance skill of a financial consultant comes in handy. Unlike yesteryears where people had to depend upon postal savings schemes and falsely believed that life insurance is an investment, today’s millennials are more aware of investment plans that offer the highest returns. And they are willing to hire freelance financial consultants for guidance.

Freelance financial consultants make money in several ways. Firstly, they charge a fee or retainer for their service. And secondly, they get a commission from banks and Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) for any investment product their clients subscribe to or buy. Thirdly, a lot of financial institutions also offer them a small retainer to promote their investments and savings plans to gain an edge over rivals.

Final Thoughts: Top 3 High Demand Freelance Skills of 2021

Understandably, these aren’t the only top high demand freelance skills for 2021. However, these three freelance skills can ensure you earn a lot of money, which is the basis of freelancing. As you can see, all these three freelance skills provide flexible working hours and certain skills that would help people. You can try any of these three high-demand skills for 2021 and make a fortune too.

Simple Ways To Boost Your Social Media Marketing ROI

Social Media Marketing is the form of advertising of products/services by using social media platforms to build their brand, increase their sales, and generate traffic on their websites by publishing content on social media.

It helps in understanding the requirements/needs of the followers by connecting them, analyzing the outcomes, and releasing social media advertisements.

Recently the most preferred social media platforms for marketing are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, and Snapchat.

But, nowadays various businesses use social media for various purposes other than publishing the content.

For example,

A business concerned about the views of people about its brand would monitor the online conversations and response to the relevant mentions; i.e., social media listening and engagement; a business concerned about its performance on the social media platform would analyze its reach, engagement, and sales with the help of an analytics tool; i.e., social media analytics; and a business that wants to reach its target customers at scale would run highly targeted social media advertisements; i.e., social media advertising.

Through social media it has become easy to bring forth leads for the product. This has accelerated the business of lead generation companies.

In short, these are often known as social media management.

Two Pillars Of Social Media Marketing

Two main pillars of social media marketing are:

1. Strategy

Strategy

Before directly publishing something on social media we need to look at the bigger picture.

First, we have to find out our goals and the ways in which social media can help your business. As some businesses use social media to increase their brand awareness, some use it to increase the traffic and sales on their websites.

Next, we have to analyze which social media platforms we should focus on; such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Snapchat.

Other than these, there are also various small and upcoming platforms like Tumblr, TikTok, and Anchor; there are also some social messaging platforms like Messenger, Whatsapp, Wechat, and Telegram. The choice of a social media platform depends upon the possibility of reaching the target customers efficiently.

Then, we have to decide what type of content we are going to share.

Which type of content will attract the target customers?

Are we going to share images, videos, or links?

Educational or entertainment?

To understand this we can start by creating a market persona that helps answer these questions. The strategy can be changed according to the performance.

2. Planning

Planning

There is over 3000000000 population around the world which is present on social media.

By being present on social media, you create an opportunity for your brand to be discovered by your future customers all around the world.

Publishing on social media is as simple as posting a video, image, or link on your profile.

But you have to decide the type of content which will attract the customers the most. Also, you’ll want to plan your content ahead of time rather than creating and publishing it spontaneously.

In order to maximize your reach on social media, you’ll need to publish the content at the right time and frequency.

Social media has been and is still an important channel for marketing, the increasing use, and rapidly evolving features also play a part in why social media is a growing channel in marketing.

One of the problems that marketers are facing is the ability to measure social media marketing ROI. It can be done by setting the goals and tracking their progress.

Why Is It Important?

There are many reasons why it is necessary:

It allows you to see if and where the efforts and assets are being used effectively.
It helps in the estimation of online networking to your goals and objectives.
It helps you to determine where to spend more and where to pull back
It helps you find the gaps in your marketing, all the keyholes in your approach.

Ways To Boost Your Social Media Marketing ROI:
Choose the perfect channel

Choose the perfect channel

Many people do not focus on this part but it is one of the most important factors that can make a huge difference. The network you use and the work you do should fit the channel you use for marketing. It would help you attract a lot more customers.

Premium Content

The content one publishes should be of good quality else it is suicidal. There are many networking channels that help you create solid messages.

A few of them are Tumblr, WordPress, and other channels. Also, you should post at a fixed time interval not anytime, this way the target audience will know. CRM Strategy is boosted as they get the best contents that are useful for both parties creating a win-win situation.

Share the customers reviews

Share the customers reviews

As you all know the people trust their fellow customers. People trust social media images shared by customers more than they do by the company itself.

So make your loyal customers share the things out there on social media. This also helps in Email Marketing as the reviews are shared on email and hence increase the marketing through email.

Post frequently (Even on Sundays)

Post frequently

According to a study, most of the social media crowd is active on Sunday and they have time on their hands to read some stuff and do something that is not actual work. So posting on Sunday and taking leave on Monday’s can be far more beneficial.

Some other ways to boost are

Starting a social selling process online reusing your past used contents
Joining discussions on Reddit or any other channel

Final Thoughts: Simple Ways To Boost Your Social Media Marketing ROI

These are some of the splendid ways to foster your social media marketing ROI.

Analyzing your performance is a must, and campaign-specific UTM parameters can help you do just that.

You can always focus your efforts on a particular thing after analyzing your tactics. Of course, retargeting people who have shown an interest in your brand will help you drive better ROI.

Most importantly, leverage real people in your campaign – whether they’re influencers or everyday consumers.

For improving your ROI, one has to earn people’s trust. Once you are down to basics, you can optimize your techniques using these tips.

How to Display a Popular Posts List in WordPress (Get Crazy Engagement)

You’ve been using MonsterInsights to record how many people view your pages. And, Google Analytics has been neatly storing that information. Now what?

Imagine asking Google Analytics to show off your top posts to your blog visitors. With Popular Posts, you can start making your Google Analytics data work for you in almost no time.

In this blog post, I’ll cover how to add the top 5 Posts (from the past 30 days) to your curated list of Popular Posts. This feature will keep your readers hooked on your content, and they’ll want to return for more.

Prerequisites:

You’ll need the MonsterInsights Pro plugin.

You’ll need to install and activate the Dimensions Addon (available to Pro level customers and above).

This post contains affiliate links (I don’t recommend anything that I don’t believe in), meaning at no extra cost to you, I might receive a small commission for purchases made through these links.

Step 1: Set up the Post Type Custom Dimension

It is absolutely vital that the Post Type custom dimension be in place for this to work best. Here is a follow-up article on how to set up the custom dimension in MonsterInsights, and connect it to your Google Analytics account.

Step 2: Wait 24-48 Hours for Data

If your Post Type custom dimension wasn’t set up in Google Analytics before, you’ll need to wait around 24 hours for the new setting to take effect.

Step 3: Specify How Popular Posts are Sorted

Navigate to Insights » Popular Posts » Inline Popular Posts » Sort By.

Click on the Curated radio button.

popular-posts-sort-by-curated

Click inside the text area below the Curated radio button. A drop-down list will appear. Select the title of your post from the drop-down list, or type in the title of your post to do a search.

Once a post is selected, it’s automatically added to the text area. Each selection is added to the list. To remove a selection, click on the x icon in front of the post title that you wanted to be removed.

Popular Posts Sort By Option: Curated with Posts

Step 4: Add the Top 5 Posts from Google Analytics

Navigate to Insights » Popular Posts » Inline Popular Posts » Automated + Curated.

Click the Add Top 5 Posts from the Google Analytics toggle button to slide to the on position. A button labeled Check configuration will appear below the toggle button.

Click on the Check configuration button. If the check configuration is successful, you’ll see the following message.

popular-posts-configuration-confirmation

If, however, you’re missing a setting, such as the required Post Type custom dimension, you’ll conveniently be guided to where you need to go to resolve it.

It automatically saves your changes, so don’t worry about that. If you want to go back to the top and click on the “Save Changes” button, you can.

To see the work you just did, make sure you’ve inserted your inline Popular Posts somewhere on your site. Then, visit that page to see your hand-picked Top 5 posts proudly on display. Congratulations!

Now It’s Your Turn

Hey, I hope this article helped you to learn how to add a popular posts list in WordPress.

Don’t forget to share this post with your friends, bloggers, and business owners who want to display a popular posts list in their blog.

How Much Does It Cost to Start a Money Making Blog in 2021 (The Cheapest Way)

Today I’m going to show you exactly how much it costs to start a money-making blog in 2021.

Most aspiring bloggers and especially teenage aspiring bloggers don’t have much money to invest in a blog.

Everyone knows that to start a self-hosted WordPress blog you have to invest in hosting, domain name, themes, etc, and there’s no upper limit when it comes to blog investment.

But don’t worry,

In this guide, I will share the most affordable ways (The Inu Etc Formula! LOL!) to start a money-making blog in 2021 and I’ll share the minimum amount you need to spend to create a professional-looking, your own, self-hosted WordPress blog.

Let’s dive right in.

How to start a money-making blog

Blogging is proven and one of the oldest ways to make money online. If you have no idea what blogging is and how to start a blog, kindly check out my ultimate guide on how to start a money-making blog in 2020.

Where you have to invest your money to start a money-making blog

To start a money-making self-hosted WordPress blog, you have to invest your money in good hosting, domain name, themes, and much more (if you wanna invest more).

You can also build a professional blog without a premium WordPress theme. At Antelax, we use Elementor Pro to build sites for our clients.

If you don’t know how to start a professional blog on your own, you can contact us!

Also, you can’t start and maintain a professional WordPress blog from your smartphone. So, if you don’t have a laptop right now, I suggest you buy a laptop today to blog from anywhere.

This post contains affiliate links (I don’t recommend anything that I don’t believe in), meaning at no extra cost to you, I might receive a small commission for purchases made through these links.

The Best Web Hosting Service

As an online entrepreneur and a blogger, I have used Bluehost, Siteground, BigRock, Dreamhost, and for Antelax (web design company), we have used HostGator, but now I’m using Hostinger, which is the cheapest and the best hosting available online.

Hostinger is one of the most reliable and recommended WordPress hosting companies out there.

It’s a secure and the most affordable web hosting services you can use to start your blogging journey today.

They have one of the best loading speeds and their support team is fast, effective, and friendly.

If you want a fast and reliable web hosting service with great customer support, then Hostinger is perfect for you. They have affordable hosting plans for every budget and each plan comes with tons of useful features.

All their hosting plans include a free domain name, a free SSL certificate, LightSpeed Cache, 1-click WordPress installer, and lots of other useful features.

So what are you waiting for?

Get started today!

Domain Name – Website URL

Hostinger gives you a free domain name when you buy their premium web hosting.

But it’s better to keep your domain and hosting separate from each other to secure your blog.

You can buy top-level domain names from Godaddy, , or any other domain name providers out there.

SSL Certificate

An SSL certificate enables your websites to move from HTTP to HTTPS, which is more secure.

It’s important to make your blog secure using an SSL certificate because it helps your blog rank higher on Google and it ensures that your customers or your blog readers are secure on your website.

Hostinger gives you a free SSL certificate for LIFETIME when you buy any hosting plan from them.

Premium WordPress Theme

A good-looking theme can make all the difference between a boring website to an engaging and interesting website.

There are thousands of easy to customize, beginner-friendly, pre-built premium themes available on many WordPress theme selling marketplace.

If you are a newbie blogger, I recommend Divi by Elegant Themes.

If you want to design a highly customized, extremely well-built, and SEO optimized website, I highly recommend StudioPress by WP Engine.

For my blog, I’m using the Avada theme, which is a premium theme available on ThemeForest, Envato Market.

So, How much money does It cost to start a money-making blog in 2021?

Let’s calculate the actual amount you have to spend per year to start and host your blog online.

Hosting:

Hostinger premium web hosting – $2.59/Month ($2.59*12 = $31.08/Year)

Domain name:

You’ll get a FREE Domain name with Hostinger premium web hosting. Also, you can buy a domain name from GoDaddy or for under 20$/Year.

SSL certificate:

You can use the Cloudflare free SSL certificate on your blog but I recommend Hostinger, you’ll get a FREE SSL certificate (11.99$ value) for lifetime with any Hostinger hosting plan.

WordPress themes:

Lots of premium WordPress themes are available on Themeforest for under 59$.

I’m using Avada, which is a premium WordPress theme available on Themeforest for $59.

The actual cost required to build and run your blog:

So if you follow my blog starting guide and buy the premium hosting plan from Hostinger + a premium WordPress theme from Themeforest, you have to invest $90+ and if you wanna buy a domain name from GoDaddy or , you have to invest $110+ to start a professional blog today.

*I’m using the ‘+’ sign here with the pricing because the tax amount is unknown.

Wanna invest more?
There’s no upper limit when it comes to blog investment.

If you’re a rich guy, and you wanna invest more, you can invest in an email marketing service to build an email list.

“Money is on the list”

Email marketing is a huge opportunity to engage with your loyal audience and there are hundreds of ways you can monetize your loyal audience whenever you want.

ConvertKit is the best email marketing service out there but there are more affordable alternatives available online such as Mailerlite, Aweber, MailChimp, Sendinblue, etc.

For Inuidea, I use Mailerlite, it’s a beginner-friendly email marketing and automation tool that lets you create beautiful and professional email forms that fit with your branding.

Mailerlite has a free plan that allows you to have up to 1000 subscribers. It’s a better alternative to MailChimp thanks to its easy-to-customize features.

If you wanna invest more to make more money from your blog, you can invest in ads, premium WordPress plugins such as WP Rocket, services such as Tailwind, SendOwl, Canva, Grammarly, and more.

Let’s dive right in.

1. High Income Affiliate Marketing.

No, we are not telling you about low commission awarding programs like Amazon and Flipkart. Rather, we are telling you about the high-profit commission affiliate programs.

Which worldwide people use for their affiliate marketing business and those affiliate websites are ClickBank, JVZoo, WarriorPlus, etc.

On Amazon and Flipkart affiliate programs, you get a maximum commission of 10% to 20%, but websites like ClickBank, JVZoo, and WarriorPlus get up to 20% to 90% commission.

But along with this, you will need to work equally hard and learn them properly first. There are many such professionals on YouTube from whom you can learn all this by watching their free videos.

Affiliate Marketing - Online Business Ideas

You will have some problems, in the beginning, you will also make mistakes which everyone has to face in the beginning.

But why did we put high-income affiliate marketing first?  Because in affiliate marketing you do not have the tension of product, delivery, and customer handling.

All you have to do is choose a product from these websites and sell it by marketing through different social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube ads If you have a little money to invest.

And if you do not have money, then you can also choose the organic way, but that is a very long way.

As we believe investing in ads will be smart work. Also, the more you earn by selling a lot of Indians in India, the more you can earn in dollars by selling to the UK or US customers. Do some research to know more about it.

This post contains affiliate links (I don’t recommend anything that I don’t believe in), meaning at no extra cost to you, I might receive a small commission for purchases made through these links.

2. Monetize Your Interest and Freelance

We know that not everyone is talented nor does everyone have every skill but the one thing that is most common in all of us is that we have an interest in something.

Yes, if you like to talk and tell about any topic like sports, movies, science, technology, music, or any topic then you can earn money online from it by writing content, articles, and blogs for online companies related to these topics.

In today’s online world, companies need content.  That’s why they find people who can write content for them and for this they pay you an amount.

But please select such a niche in which you are really interested. Because in the world of freelancing mostly people fail only when they are doing something outside their interest or just give a low quality of work to the client for the greed of money.

Think for yourself that if you are passionate about a topic, then you will also enjoy doing it and get money.

You can use websites like Upwork, Fiverr, and freelancer or you can directly contact some brands and companies of your choice through social media.

Unless you are new and do not have the experience, then you can tell them that you are passionate about your work.

And you can work with less money in starting as a fresher. As experience and clients increase, your income will also increase.

But before applying anywhere, you should learn this skill for some time with the help of tutorials if you really want to earn money.

3. Teach and Earn Money Online

Are you well skilled in anything?

Or do you think that the skill you have can teach others, then this skill of yours can give you a lot of money while sleeping.

But before that, you have to see what a skill it is? It is not necessary that you are master in that skill or you are absolutely perfect because learning also lasts a lifetime.

So whatever skill or talent you have right now, you can make it as a tutorial and upload it online in video format.

For example, if you are good at video editing, Photoshop, dancing, music, language, sketching, simple software and study, and education, etc, then you can teach people online.

And if you feel that you are not a master in that thing then you can teach beginners.

There will be some of these students who would like to take one on one video calling through live training, then you charge them a little more per hour.

You can also sell your special services, products, and tools through this training.

4. Transcribing

Friends, in transcribing, you have to listen to the audio files and write the content in the words by typing in it.

Now, mostly it involves the person either listening to one particular language and converting it to another language or writing the same as it is language audio in words.

For example, if you understand English, then you can translate the audio file of English into Hindi or convert the Hindi file to English or you can also convert from English to English and Hindi to Hindi.

Now according to you, see which one you are comfortable with? It is not necessary that you can work only between Hindi and English, but you can also work according to your local language if there is a demand from clients.

And by searching online, you can know which website will be good for you according to your language.

You can connect with such clients there, they just want to complete their project on time, for which they pay you some money.

And as more orders start coming and you don’t have time, you can build a team and give that work to your team member and give some percentage of your earnings to your team member and keep some with you too.

Social Media Handler

5. Social Media Handler

A study has shown that on average a normal person uses his phone on social media almost 3-4 hrs a day.

But how would you be if you spend this time to earn money from this habit?

Yes, the task of a social media handler is to handle the social media profiles and account of a brand or company.

Now, most of the small or big companies want to promote themselves on social media and they also need people who can handle their accounts and pages.

Also, create social media posts for them and upload them, reply to messages and comments, increase followers, or overall who can grow their brand in social media.

You should not think of it as digital marketing because digital marketing contains a lot of things like search engine optimization (SEO) and all.

In social media handling, you have to handle some other social media accounts because clients cannot do so many tasks themselves.

So we will suggest that you do not contact big brands directly, rather contact influencers or companies which are new and not are very big.

Also, you can put your gigs related to this in freelancing websites too.

Now because you are new, you will not be persuaded to offer too much money in starting.

But at the start, handle different accounts of different clients. As the experience grows, you can ask for a little more money.

6. Dropshipping

And another option that will give you an online income is dropshipping. In dropshipping, you sell the product, but you do not keep the product with you.

In this, you do not have to send the product and there is not even a courier cordiality and no logistics cordiality.

Wholesalers have products, you have to put their product on your site or digital store.

In this people take the product and you forward that order to the wholesaler and he delivers the product to the people.

7. Social Media Influencer

If you want, you can become an influencer of Facebook and Instagram. Again, you can build any category, topic, and personal brand.

There you can create your own page, create an Instagram handle, but whatever trend is going on social media and whatever platform is going forward, you can create a brand inside it.

We know that social media and digital consumption have to increase, even people walk on the streets with phones, that is, everyone now mostly uses the phone.

That is why the business is going to grow inside the phone, then you can also take advantage of this opportunity and become a social media influencer.

Bonus: App development

This option is for those who have an interest in tech or they are studying computer science, information technology, electronics, and communication, then this option is for you.

Every human has a hand and the same hand has a phone and the same phone definitely has an app.

Last year in 2019, nineteen hundred crore apps were downloaded in India. Every brand, business, and professional wants to understand how he can get his app built or many brands are already getting their app made.

When it comes to app development career options, then you can also give freelancing service to many companies because they need app developers and then you can develop apps from home.

If you do not have complete learning of app development, then you can first understand it well and then you can become an app developer.

Because there is a lot of future ahead of app development, you will benefit throughout your life. Or you can directly give app service to professionals and businesses and you can make an app for them.

You can also do freelancing and your work and even you can open an agency in your future time.

But we would still say first learn then earn.

Now it’s your turn!

11 Pinterest Experts Reveal How New Bloggers Can Grow on Pinterest

Want to grow your business on Pinterest?

Want to drive massive traffic to your blog from Pinterest?

Whether you are a new blogger looking for some actionable Pinterest tips or a pro blogger looking for more ideas to grow on Pinterest, this roundup post is for you!

I asked 11 blogging and Pinterest experts the following question:

“What is one piece of advice that you have for new bloggers who want to grow on Pinterest to drive traffic to their blog?

As a beginner blogger that is new to Pinterest and blogging business, learning the best practices for driving consistent traffic can be overwhelming.

The tips listed below reflect the hard work and experience of various successful bloggers, and online entrepreneurs, they’re successful on Pinterest and I’m pretty sure that their Pinterest growth strategies will help you grow on Pinterest.

Let’s dive right in.

Angela Mary Vaz

1. Angela Mary Vaz – Stray Curls

“Everything you do on Pinterest should be aligned with your Brand and Blogging Niche – this includes your Pinterest Boards, the Pins you decide to pin, the categories and keywords you use, and the people you decide to follow.

I made the mistake of trying to be an expert in everything and failed to attract the audience I wanted.

Narrow your focus and you will notice a rise in engagement and followers almost immediately.

The minute I pulled down the boards that weren’t in my niche and stuck to posting pins that were only in my niche, I noticed a substantial growth in blog traffic and tripwire sales.

Doing just this much will make a world of a difference to your Blog and your Pinterest account.”

2. Lisa Tanner – Lisa Tanner Writing

“Don’t be afraid to create new pins for your older posts. You don’t have to put them all on your actual blog, but having multiple options for each post can help get more eyes on your content.

It’s a great way to get some momentum going on a post that has been dormant for a bit.

This also allows you to do some A/B testing so you can see what your audience responds to the most.

It can really help you discover what works for you since every blog will need a slightly different pinning strategy.”

Adam Connell - Blogging Wizard-Pinterest expert

3. Adam Connell – Blogging Wizard

“Once you’ve created your blog, you’ll need to put together a Pinterest strategy that drives traffic back to your blog.

I’m not going to share a specific strategy or tactic. Instead, we need to talk about validating what you put into your strategy.

Here’s what you need to know:

Don’t blindly follow best practice advice, even that which you learn from this article.

In general, best practice advice is a great starting point but you get the most mileage from your efforts when you experiment for yourself.

There are two main issues with most best practice advice:

1) It might not be relevant in your niche.

2) So many people might follow the advice that it no longer works.

So, before implementing any advice, you need to ask yourself – is this niche dependent? Or are too many people already following this advice for it to work?

A good example is the colors and styling of your pins. If someone says go for a specific style because it stands out, then loads of people follow the same advice. Eventually, everyone does it and it no longer stands out.

Instead, you would need to look at what is being shared in your niche and make sure your pins stand out amongst what is being shared at the time.

And, in future, it would be a good idea to check what style of images people are using. If trends change, create new pins for your top-performing content and reshare them.

It’s important to mention that some best practice advice is worth following regardless but you should always consider the two points I mentioned above.

Then you will know how to create a Pinterest strategy that’s built around your business and not someone else’s. And you will become the trendsetter rather than chasing trends that are losing steam.”

4. Corinne – myjEARNey

“Consistency. The more consistent you are with pinning and SEO, the more exposure you get on Pinterest.

I must also add patience because Pinterest can be a long-term game to many and the algorithm changes quite often.“

Michael Hulleman, Hobo with a Laptop

5. Michael, Hobo with a Laptop

Images Should Focus on Pain, Not Desired Result

Choose images for your pins that reflect the pain and agony of the problem or challenge you’re solving in your blog post.

If your content is about taking better photos, use a blurry low-quality photo in your pin.

If your photo is about weight loss, include overly greasy food, or a rolly belly in your pin. That last one may be controversial, but I really don’t care. Take their pain and rub their face in it. Oldest trick in the marketing book. If it’s tasteful, it will sell.

Content-Length

Pinterest users are visual. They choose Pinterest because they’re likely looking for short-form articles —so give them what they want.

Make pins point to content that’s quick and easy to consume. A 3 minute Youtube video, or a 400-600 word article.

Pinterest expert - Raelyn Tan

6. Raelyn Tan

“My advice for new bloggers to stop obsessing over how many times you should pin a day, or whether you should do manual or automated pinning.

Instead, focus on creating attention-grabbing pins and fresh content on a consistent basis.

Quality and quantity will rise to the top, not that shiny new tactic that a Pinterest guru claimed made “all the difference” to their traffic.

A lot of times, bloggers get distracted by having the “perfect pinning strategy” but miss out on what is more important – content and how their pins look.”

7. Leila Kartforosh – Living Like Leila

“Create multiple pin styles/designs for every blog post. Your audience will have an eye for different colors, designs, fonts, etc.

So they may scroll past one pin, but then see the same pin with a different style and click or save that one.

From there you can determine which styles perform best, eliminate the ones that don’t, and keep testing new designs!”

Pinterest expert-Shruti Pangtey, Indian Girling

8. Shruti Pangtey, Indian Girling

“The best way for a new blogger to use Pinterest for traffic is to start with creating a strong content foundation. This means setting up a business account, figuring out which categories your audience is most interested in, and then optimizing your profile on Pinterest to reflect that.

At the end of the day, people don’t care about what you do, but how you can help them. Your content should aim at solving your audience’s problems.

Having an audience-first approach will help you stand out in a competitive feed and start driving traffic fast.”

Join Shruti’s free Pinterest traffic masterclass – https://www.digitalempires.co/pinterest-traffic-masterclass/

9. Mike Beatty – Make Time Online

“Improve the quality of your pins and be consistent with fresh content. Find out what works in your niche and focus on creating pins that are intriguing but designed well.

Some useful basic design tips are to make sure your text overlay is aligned well (either centered, to the left or right) and not messy. Use contrast to make things “pop” off the page. Think about what you want people to see first aka hierarchy (make certain words or images stand out in order of importance). Be consistent with fonts and colors for your brand (this makes creating fresh pins easier too!)

Too many people get caught up in strategies and often their pin design is what’s holding them back.”

Jojo LeBouef - Traveling Petite Girl

10. Jojo LeBouef – Traveling Petite Girl

“Growing your traffic with Pinterest is a true test of patience. It takes at least 3-6 months to see results from consistently pinning new content. But the result you get is sustainable traffic, the kind that lasts for years and years. Don’t give up and embrace the process of pinning. You’ll be thanking yourself 6 months from now.”

11. Luisa Zhou

“Take out the emotion and test, test, test. You’re going to have to test your headlines, images, copy, schedule, and more. So if something doesn’t work or things don’t take off right away, don’t give up.”

This post contains affiliate links (I don’t recommend anything that I don’t believe in), meaning at no extra cost to you, I might receive a small commission for purchases made through these links.

How to Nail Your Startup’s Email Marketing Strategy in 3 Steps

Email marketing is a perfect solution for startups and small businesses looking to reach and nurture customers — but a thriving email program doesn’t happen overnight.

It takes time to build a solid subscriber list and develop the perfect messaging strategy. You’ll have to spend time learning about your customers, testing content, and continuously improving, but it’s well worth the work.

Email marketing is an extremely cost-efficient and effective marketing tactic that can yield a high return on investment. As your email marketing efforts continue to evolve over time, you’ll find that email will be a central part of your marketing strategy.

In this article, we’ll take a look at 3 steps you need to take to nail your email marketing strategy.

Here’s a quick overview of the 3 steps we’ll cover:

Build a solid subscriber list
Keep your email communication consistent
Write killer subject lines

The 3 Email Marketing Steps You Need to Know
Build a Solid Subscriber List

Growing an email list takes time and dedication, especially when you’re starting with a limited number of subscribers. But the more you care for and nurture your list, the more it will grow and provide you with the result you’re looking for. Image courtesy of Pixabay.

1. Build a Solid Subscriber List

First and foremost, you need to start building your subscriber list. If you’re just getting started, chances are good your email list is relatively small — but don’t let that discourage you. Every company has to start somewhere, even huge companies like Amazon and Target.

Building your subscriber list is a little like growing your garden. Choosing to ignore your subscriber list will only result in low engagement and a decreasing subscriber count. You must take the time to care for and nurture your site visitors. If you choose to ignore your subscriber life

Luckily, there are plenty of different ways you can work to grow your subscriber list. Check out these proven and simple ways

Add a pop-up to your website to capture emails from site visitors.
Promote your email marketing efforts on your social media channel.
Share gated content on your website, blog, and social media channels.
Provide discounts and incentives to customers for subscribing to your emails.

Once you start to build a substantial subscriber list, you can send mass emails and reach larger audiences easier. Over time, you’ll find that email will become one of your most effective ways to reach customers, and the list building process will be a natural part of your email marketing efforts.

Consistency is critical when it comes to emailing your customers

Consistency is critical when it comes to emailing your customers. You don’t want to send too many emails and annoy them — or send too few and be forgotten. Image courtesy of Pexels.

 2. Be Consistent With Your Email Communication

The next thing to keep in mind is consistency with your email communication. It can be a tricky balance to find the right sending consistency when it comes to email marketing, but it’s essential to ensure the best customer experience.

You don’t want to send your subscribers too many emails and overload their inboxes. While on the other hand, you don’t want to send too few emails and have your subscribers too few emails, and they forget what they loved about your company.

Of course, there’s no exact science to how often you should be sending emails to your subscriber list, but there are a few best practices.

Consider the following things when determining how often you’ll communicate with your customers

Set subscriber expectations right away by telling them how often you plan to communicate with them
Start slowly by only sending a few emails the first month or two to help subscribers start to recognize your name.
Once you’ve started to hit their inboxes and they are more familiar with your company, you can begin to send emails once a week and continue to increase from there as needed.

Whatever route you choose to go, just keep things consistent, so your subscribers know what to expect from your email communications.

The better your subject lines are, the more likely you are to get subscribers to open, read, and convert

The better your subject lines are, the more likely you are to get subscribers to open, read, and convert. While it does take some practice, anyone can master the art of subject line writing. Image courtesy of Pexels.

3. Write Subject Lines That Convert

Your subject line is the first thing your customer sees when they receive your email. That means it needs to stand out and encourages subscribers to want to click to learn more.

While this might seem like an easy task, when you consider that 69% of people will report an email as spam based on its subject line alone — it’s important to get it right.

To help you get it right, here are a few tips to writing subject lines that convert:

Get the point across right away and don’t beat around the bush
Use humor or catchy copy when appropriate — but never use clickbait.
Add personalization to make the content more relevant to the customer.
Avoid spam words to keep your messages out of the junk folder.
Provide an offer or add a sense of urgency to the message.

This list could go on and on, but truly understanding what subject line content works and doesn’t work with your customers requires testing. Most email platforms allow you to A/B test variations of your messages — including the subject line. This is a great way to learn what resonates with your customers and how you can improve based on their feedback.

Get Your Startup Noticed With Email Marketing

Are you ready to get started with email marketing for your startup? Or maybe you’re just looking for ways to improve what you’re already doing.

Either way, these tips will help you improve your email marketing efforts and turn new subscribers into loyal customers. Over time, the email development process will become easier and the message you send will become more personalization and relevant to your customer needs.

So what are you waiting for? Now’s the perfect time to start using email to improve your customer relationships.

11 Ways to Find Blog Content Ideas [Very Easy] in 2020

Every one of us wants to continue writing blogs on our website but one day or another, or even every time, we fall short of topics on what to write about.

(Don’t lie, you also get short of it. Don’t you?)

Well, after reading this post, you won’t get short of topics, unless you are procrastinating. Sorry, it was a reality check and some humor.

So, here I’m to tell you 11 ways to find blog content ideas and use your knowledge in the right direction and at the right time to write high-quality blog posts to ensure that you get great traffic on your blog.

Let’s dive right in.

1. Amazon

Don’t get shocked reading the heading as “Amazon” because yes, Amazon serves the treasure to find proven blog content ideas.

No, don’t worry, I am not asking you to purchase a heavy bunch of books at once spending your hard-earned money.

If you are an avid reader, buying e-books and extracting the content from there is the best but if you want to write your knowledge out, you just have to follow three easy (easiest) steps:

Step 1: Go to the Amazon shopping app or Kindle store and search the keyword for the niche you are writing about. May it be SEO, Content writing, Blogging, and whatsoever.
Step 2: Check the most popular books that came with the search. By most popular, I suggest you check the author’s name, book’s rating, comments, and such things.
Step 3: Jump to the table of contents section of the book. I must say, the content section is the goldmine for the ideas for blogging. Just by seeing the contents of some of the books, you already have enough ideas to write a money-making blog post on a proven topic.

This is one of the easiest and free (that most of us want) way to find the ideas for your blog.

Pro Tip: Amazon only shows the books which are currently popular and thus this will lead the traffic on your site as you would write on the current and in-demand topic.

Okay, thank me later. First, go to Amazon.

But are you making the most out of your email marketing efforts? Or do you find you’re spending hours crafting, designing, and sending emails with lackluster results?

Email Marketing Must-Haves For Successful Companies

When it comes to email marketing, there are hundreds of tips and best practices to follow out there. There are so many different opinions out there that it can get confusing on what you should and shouldn’t do with your emails.

That’s why we decided to outline a few must-haves for email marketing. Each of these must-haves is something you can easily implement (if you haven’t already) and will help improve your current email marketing success.

So let’s dive in and start talking about the must-haves you need in your email marketing!

Set Goals to Measure Success

The first thing you must have on our list should be determined well before you send your first email or develop a new campaign.

Setting goals early on in your email marketing journey is important, but you’ll also want to do it before the development of any big campaign.

You need to ask yourself things like

What am I trying to gain from this campaign?
Will I measure a successful campaign by the number of lead, sales, or simply engagement?
Am I looking for ways to reach new customers or is the primary audience of existing customers?

Taking time to think through questions like this will allow you to identify how you need to approach your audience. If your end goal is to reach new customers, you’re not going to want to spend time developing retention messaging.

Set Goals to Measure Success

While it varies from company to company, many have similar goals and priorities for their email marketing strategy. From increasing revenue and leads to improving nurturing efforts — you need to set and understand the goals of your messages. Image courtesy of Smart Insights.

Many companies set goals for an entire year and work to build email campaigns that help them achieve these higher-level goals. If this is the case for your company, the goal-setting process should include understanding how each email or campaign helps meet the end goal.

Here are just a few business goals you can achieve through email marketing:

Build brand awareness
Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products
Gather customer reviews and feedback
Announce new product launches
Encourage customers to return to an abandoned shopping cart

Without setting goals, you won’t have a way to gauge the true success of your campaign. That’s why you need to sit down and figure out exactly what you’re hoping to get out of your email marketing plan.

An Email Automation Platform to Make it Easier

Investing in an email automation platform can help make reaching your goals a little more achievable.

If you’re tired of putting hours into creating emails, finding the right contacts, and knowing exactly what content to send to them — then you need email automation. Using a platform, such as the ones discussed below, will help automate and simplify your email marketing process.

From having the ability to schedule emails to automate workflows and content based on customer interests and behaviors, you’ll start to see metrics like never before. On top of that, you’ll have more time to focus on other marketing tactics and implement new strategies.

The benefits of using email automation are practically endless, but here are a few things you can expect to see:

Automate your emails and limit the amount of manual intervention needed
Easily create workflows to nurture leads and move them through their purchasing journey
Increase brand awareness with frequent communication
Improve personalization through data collection and understanding
Put your focus on other tasks while saving time and money in the process
Have detailed monthly reporting to know exactly how your campaigns are performing

Email Automation Platform to Make it Easier

Marketing automation can help you improve your current process across the board. You’ll have the ability to track customer data from your website and integrate that into your email marketing efforts to improve the customer experience across all platforms. Image courtesy of Cetrix Cloud Services.

Email automation is a very powerful tool that can help take your current email efforts to the next level, and beyond.

But if you’re still not quite sold, here are a few key automation stats from G2 you’ll want to know:

Businesses that implement marketing automation experience an average of 451% increase in qualified leads
91% of marketers feel that automation is very important to the success of their marketing campaigns
The use of lead nurturing through marketing automation saw 15-20% of potential buyers that were not ready to purchase converted to sales
4 of 5 successful marketers credit marketing automation as a key contributor to their success

All of these details are why it’s so important to take time to identify the right email automation partner for your business needs. But don’t worry, later in this article, we’ll make sure to provide you with 10 platforms to consider when it comes time to invest in a platform.

A Growing Subscriber List to Reach More Customers

To continue to be successful in your email marketing efforts, you need a growing subscriber list. While it is true that the majority of your sales do come from existing customers, you can’t just ignore potential opportunities out there.

In fact, improving subscriber lists is often one of the top priorities for companies in all industries.

Growing Subscriber List to Reach More Customers

Many companies are moving towards building subscriber lists that provide higher quality and result in converting more leads. If you’re not focusing on continuously growing and im[roving your current list, you’ll never have the opportunity to see these results. Image courtesy of Campaign Monitor.

One of the main reasons to grow your list is because there will always be a portion of your current subscriber list who have become inactive and may no longer be worth marketing to. Without continuing to target new customers and add additional subscribers to your current list, you’d quickly see your numbers decrease month over month.

But there are plenty of other reasons why you should be putting an effort into growing your subscriber list, including:

Direct contact with potential clients that you can work to nurture and convert
Having the ability to segment subscribers as they join your list means you can make every contact more meaningful
Increase sales by targeting new clients and increase your ROI
Turning new subscribers into brand evangelists and they will become even more valuable

While many people like to believe that email marketing is losing its luster, we’re here to tell you it’s still one of the most effective ways to engage with your customers. By focusing on email over other marketing strategies, you’ll see improved metrics from open rates to conversions.

You might be wondering why you should be spending more time growing your email subscriber list than focusing on other channels? Because email continuously generates higher ROI than all other marketing strategies. On top of that, your emails are 5x more likely to be seen in an email than on Facebook.

Personalized Content to Increase Engagement

In today’s email marketing world, personalization has become a must-have. In fact, your customers now expect that the messages you send them are personalized, and they may choose to go elsewhere if that isn’t the case.

Now, chances are good you’re already aware of the impressive stats that come along with using personalization in your email marketing efforts.

But just in case you need a refresher, let’s take a look at a few personalization numbers that you just can’t ignore:

71% of consumers get frustrated when a shopping experience is impersonal
36% of consumers think retailers need to do more to offer personalized experiences
80% of consumers are more likely to make a purchase from a brand that provides personalized experiences
72% of consumers say they only engage with personalized messaging

And the list goes on and on.

Luckily, there are tons of different ways you can use personalization in your emails to better engage with your customers. From using their name to triggering emails based on their behaviors and interactions — personalization has never been easier.

Personalized Content to Increase Engagement

Personalization can come in many forms, from adding the customer’s name to the email to using third-party data it all makes a difference. The more granular you can get, the better your messages will be received. Image courtesy of .

If you’re not sure where to start, here’s a list of a few different ways you can pull into your current email marketing efforts:

Use the recipient’s name
Segment your subscriber list based on behaviors
Past interactions and engagements with emails
Previous purchase and browsing habits
General demographic information

Taking the time to add personalization to your emails will help your company stand out from the competition and improve the customer experience. While it may seem like a daunting task at first, with the help of an email automation platform you can easily manage customer data and use it for personalization.

A Cross Channel Marketing Strategy to Create a Seamless Experience

Cross channel marketing takes your email marketing beyond the inbox and creates a seamless experience across all platforms and channels. This can include email, SMS messages, social media, and even print marketing.

The big thing to remember when developing a cross channel marketing strategy is the holistic customer journey. Each touchpoint should easily be integrated

Here are a few tips to help you create the best cross channel marketing strategy possible:

Create buyer personas: before starting out, you need to understand your customers on a more granular level. Buyer personas will allow you to identify customer preferences, behaviors, buying habits, and more.
Use mediums that complement one another: some channels just don’t mess as well as others. Find the channels you use that work together and easily create a comprehensive experience for your customers.

Unify your data: having all of your customer data in one location will allow you to see a holistic view of your customers. You need to know what messages are sent to what customers across all of your platforms — unified data will make this much easier.
Align with the buyer’s journey: every customer will have a different journey, and you need to account for that. When developing your strategy, make sure it aligns well with all of your buyers’ journeys.

Cross channel marketing is a very effective way to reach your customers. While it may take some time to get everything aligned and working together, the pay off is well worth it.

Beyond purchase and engagement increases, there is a 30% higher lifetime customer value attributed to consumers shopping across multiple channels. When you consider the increase in sales, engagement, and lifetime customer value — it’s hard to ignore the lure of cross channel marketing.
