Ten percent to go!

I'm at about 63,000 of 70,000 words, or 90% finished with HEXBOUND!! You Dark Elite fans are going to love this one. TONS of magic, action, mysterious strangers and, of course, Jason. ;)

iPad Release Week!

Yes, I am a dork.
I make that announcement that to lessen the blow of my next statement.
The iPad will be released on Saturday, so I'm making an apple cake to take to work tomorrow to "celebrate" the release.
Not that I need an excuse to bake, but still...

The Edits are DONE!

While I'm sending out the "thanks" today, here's a big shout-out to my lovely and hard-working editor Jess for all her help with TWICE BITTEN. We just finished the final round of edits, so ARCs should be on their way pretty soon.
And yes, of course I'll have a contest! Details to come once the ARCs are in hand.
Btw, I know I'm a tease, but I'm pretty sure TB is gonna knock your socks off. ;)

Some (UK) Girls Bite!

Thanks to Twitteress Deadbookdarling for snapping a picture of SOME GIRLS BITE - UK Edition on sale in the UK. Soooooo awesome!!
It's still really hard to believe I published a book . . . much less that it's for sale internationally. Thanks to everyone for their fabulous support--none of this would have been possible without you!!

Random Things I Love

1. The bumps on Adult Swim as I get in my nightly Family Guy, Robot Chicken and ATHF fixes.
2. Getting in my daily gadget, scifi and design fixes.
3. Madeleines. Much easier to bake than I'd imagined.
4. Deleting my daily word count goal calendar entries when I've achieved them. (And I feel like that's going to be even more fun on in iPad.) :)

5. My daily routines, apparently. ;)
6. Etsy. So much goodness.
7. Paper, in its various incarnations.
8. Right now, anything in this pattern, this

Fifty Thousand!!!!

Finally, I've hit 50,000 words.
Theoretically, that means the manuscript for HEXBOUND is on its downhill slide (word count-wise, not quality-wise), but that doesn't mean the last 20,000 (or 28.6%) will be easy. HEXBOUND has been fighting me for the entire write. I absolutely love the book, and there are scenes that still surprise me, but it's been a one-word-at-a-time struggle to get this bad girl on paper.
And for those of you who've asked--yes, I get writer's block. For me, it's akin to a...
