Women’s Soccer’s ‘Woke’ Bullies

Former women’s soccer forward Carli Lloyd criticized the “culture” of the U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) as the “worst she’s ever seen,” during a Wednesday podcast appearance on Hope Solo Speaks.
Lloyd, who retired from professional soccer in 2021, joined longtime friend and former teammate Solo on the maiden voyage of Solo’s podcast. Solo spoke at length at the beginning of the podcast about the USWNT equal pay settlement, which Solo criticized, labeling the $24 million settlement from U.S. Soccer Federation “pathetic.”
“The reason for my sadness, the reason I feel gutted, kicked in the stomach, the reason why I feel betrayed and a bit hopeless is because the settlement is pathetic,” Solo said during the podcast.
Solo, who retired from professional soccer in 2016, continued:
After fighting for years for equal pay starting in 2015, the players still went on and agreed to a less-than-equal CBA. They continued to believe in the promises of the federation. … They were outclassed, outmaneuvered and then, finally, after pumping the brakes and doing a 180 in the fight of our life, they decided to show up to the party and they got hustled.
The main player Solo referenced is likely controversial team captain Megan Rapinoe, who has been the player most visible in USWNT’s media appearances pushing for equal pay for women soccer players. Rapi …

‘Afghan Adjustment Act’ Would Legalize 36,000 Unvetted Afghans — Frontpagemag
Don’t ask questions, just give them their citizenship.
Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.
Biden’s evacuation brought tens of thousands of Afghans to America.
The majority of them were not interpreters, had no visas, and no basis for entering the country. Despite that, they were rapidly brought here with virtually no vetting, dropped off at military bases, and then put through the resettlement process across the United States.
There’s no one problem.
At last count around 36,000 Afghans or 40% of the “refugees” had no legal basis for being evacuated even after the Biden administration and its congressional allies, both Democrat and Republican, watered down standards for applying for SIV visas so much so that virtually any Afghan employed i …

WASHINGTON, DC – The Moldovan ambassador to the U.S. said Wednesday his country is prepared to defend its borders if Russia or Belarus were to invade the former Soviet republic. “The country is prepared [for] any kind of scenarios, including the very worst-case scenario,” Ambassador Eugen Caras told Fox News in an exclusive interview. “So we will be defending what’s to be defended.“A day earlier, video surfaced showing Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko standing in front of a map that appeared to indicate the Moldovan breakaway state of Transnistria as a potential next target.

Ukraine: No need to declare captured Russian tanks or military gear on your taxes

The fighting is getting increasingly brutal in Ukraine today and the civilian casualties are reportedly mounting into the thousands. But at least the government is keeping a sense of humor while communicating with its embattled citizens. The Ukrainian National Agency for the Protection against Corruption put out a public service statement this week with useful information for anyone who has stolen any Russian tanks or other military hardware during the invasion. Don’t worry about needing to report the estimated value of the tank or personnel carrier on your taxes next year. You’ll be given a pass from the taxman and you can just keep it or sell it as you wish. Of course, this assumes there will still be a Ukrainian government left to levy any taxes by then, which is far from assured. We should offer the usual disclaimer here …

Fight Breaks Out At Fox Between Tucker And Fellow Reporter

Tucker Carlson appeared to take a swipe at a fellow Fox News reporter Jennifer Griffin who has been “fact checking” the pundits on her network during the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
As he introduced Colonel Doug Macgregor, who was recently fact checked by Griffin, Carlson swiped at “so-called reporters you see on television” who act “secretly as a flack for Lloyd Austin at the Pentagon.”
It came after the host warned that a war with Russia “would be a legitimate disaster no matter what the outcome would be.” And, he cautioned his viewers, to “be very wary of what you hear. There is an awful lot of lying going on, an unprecedented amount of lying.”
“We always start with retired Colonel Doug Macgregor. Unlike so many of the TV generals you see all day long, McGregor is not angling for a board seat at Raytheon. Unlike so many of the so-called reporters you see on television, he is not acting secretly as a flack for Lloyd Austin at the Pentagon. No, Doug Macgregor is an honest man. So we’re gonna start, in place of a long script tonight, with a conversation with Doug Macgregor about what is actually going on in Ukraine,” he said.

Reps Received 8,000+ Free Trips

By Adam Andrzejewski for RealClearPolicy
Between 2017 and 2021, more than 500 Congress members disclosed that they took more than 8,000 trips paid for by roughly 700 third-party organizations, according to an analysis by OpenTheBooks.com. While this practice is not illegal, it presents lawmakers with a conflict of interest.
That conflict of interest is most clearly seen through five nonprofit organizations that paid for 925 trips for members of Congress and their staff, who in turn got those organizations $102 million in federal funds over the five-year period we audited.
Members or staffers took about 2,600 trips to foreign destinations vs. about 5,490 trips to domestic destinations. Half the foreign trips went to just five popular overseas destinations: Israel (939); Berlin, Germany (103); Tokyo, Japan (100); Paris, France (102); and Brussels, Belgium (76).
In April 2019, Rep. Vicente Gonzalez and his wife traveled to Amman, Jordan and Beiruit, Lebanon, a trip that cost $20,328.32 and was paid for by the …
