Austin Pushing to ‘Decriminalize’ Abortion

The city of Austin, Texas is looking to protect its residents from a state law that would criminalize almost all abortions if the United States Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade. Politico reported Monday that Austin councilmember Chito Vela is proposing a resolution that would make the city’s police department make enforcement, arrest and investigation of abortions its “lowest priority” and redistrict funds from being used to report and investigate abortions.Texas, like several other states, has a “trigger law” that would take effect 30 days after the Supreme Court strikes down Roe. The law will make performing or attempting an abortion a first-degree felony. It includes one exception for the life of the mother.The trigger law will make performing, inducing or attempting an abortion where “an unborn child dies as a result of the offense” a first-degree felony, punishable by up to life in prison and up to a $10,000 fine. JUST IN: Peter Navarro Sues Nancy Pelosi

Former Trump White House trade advisor Peter Navarro filed a lawsuit challenging a grand jury subpoena that would compel him to testify about the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

The House Jan. 6 committee issued the subpoena to Navarro in February and accused him of working with Trump strategist Steve Bannon to “develop and implement a plan to delay Congress’s certification of, and ultimately change the outcome of, the November 2020 presidential election,” according to Politico.

Defendents named by Navarro in his 88-page lawsuit include House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, all members of the Jan. 6 committee and U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C., Matthew Graves.

Representing himself, Navarro argues the Jan. 6 committee is “neither duly authorized nor properly constituted and therefore its legislative acts, including its subpoena issued to me.… are therefore ultra vires, unlawful, and unenforceable.”

Bill Gates: ‘Next Pandemic’ Will Be Caused by Climate

Billionaire Bill Gates has predicted a 50 percent chance that another pandemic will occur in the next 20 years due to “climate change.”Gates made his predictions in an interview with Spanish publication elDiario.es, during a one-day trip he made to Spain on May 26.
“The human population is growing, and we are invading more and more ecosystems. That is why I calculate that there is a 50 percent chance that we will have a pandemic of natural origin in the next 20 years, as a consequence of climate change,” Gates said, noting that the pandemic could be a type of coronavirus, a type of flu, or “something else.”
“It could be a virus made by man, by a bioterrorist who designed it and intentionally circulated it. That is a very scary scenario because they could try to spread it in different places at once,” he said.

Who Is John Durham Targeting Next?

News analysisThe trial of Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann is coming to an end but rather than provide definitive answers to the origins of the Russiagate hoax, the trial has thrown up many new mysteries and unanswered questions.
Durham’s overarching trial narrative was that the FBI was duped by Sussmann when he presented them with data purportedly tying Trump to the Kremlin via the Russian Alfa Bank. It may have been Durham’s only viable strategy given the fact he was facing a jury of twelve Washington D.C. residents, a city where Democrats outnumber Republicans 20 to 1.
This strategy did give Sussmann’s team the opportunity to highlight serious misconduct by the FBI, with a flurry of new information about FBI malfeasance and abuses coming to light.

Donald Trump is leaning toward a strong endorsement of conservative TV commentator Tudor Dixon in the Republican primary for governor of Michigan, several GOP sources in Michigan told Newsmax on Monday.



Reportedly pushing hard for the former president to come out for Dixon are two of his major supporters in the Wolverine State: Betsy DeVos, who was Trump’s secretary of education, and John Rakolta, Jr., an Oakland County businessman who served as Trump’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (and is the uncle of Republican National Chair Ronna McDaniel).
