March solicitations for Marvel comics are out and they are taking pre-orders for Savage Wolverine #3.

I’ve been having a lot of fun drawing these covers, mixing various styles and techniques. I think these Savage Wolverine covers are some of my best work this year.

I know some of you guys want to know exactly what I used to create these covers. Well, for this Savage #3 cover, I used BIC ballpoint pens, colored inks, Micron Pigma pens and ink and brush on Sthrathmore Bristol board with vellum surface (300 series.)

And my long time colorist, Jason Keith, digitally colored them in Photoshop.

Here’s the cover to Savage Wolverine #2.

Things are heating up with Savage Wolverine. Besides Shanna the She-Devil, each issue will feature new guest stars. Everything builds up to a classic rematch between Wolverine and a certain badass.

Enough talk. I really need to get back to my drawing table and get this story on paper.
