New Shorts are here!
Two things to be excited about!
I finished editing all the old shorts that I’ve put out. They are pretty much the same but there may be a few tweaks to make them better and all of them have been thrown through Grammarly to catch the stupid mistakes. I just finished editing and uploading the shorts forForging Splendor! I put that book out last year and I was too new to really get the reviews I asked for. Because of that, I’m setting a limit on the review for short stories thing and if I don’t...January 13, 2020
The Snow Queen, Story
Welcome back!
So, here is a quick overview of The Snow Queen…
Once upon a time, there was a goblin/demon who made an evil mirror. The mirror was designed to make you see only the worst things, so you would be pessimistic about life. He ran a school for evil beings and his students had a lot of fun flying around with the [image error]mirror and making people depressed. Eventually, one of them thought it would be a great idea to take it up to heaven and see what the angels would do when they looked at it....

The Snow Queen Origins
Hey guys! Sorry that it took so long to get this post out. I took a much-needed break over the past few weeks. The combination of my day job, the holidays, and writing/releasing a book in just under two months wiped me out. But, I’m back and have I got a story for you!
“The Snow Queen” is a fairy tale that was originally written by Hans Christian Anderson. Unlike most fairy tales, this one is not wreathed in mystery and doesn’t have a bunch of different versions in different cultures (I’m...

[image error]Gerda never expected to become Queen of the Wraiths. Her cousin was a horrible ruler, though, and had to go. Now she’s dead and it’s up to Gerda to fix the many things that were broken. What did I change in 12 Dancing Princesses?
Alright, if you haven’t read my blog post about the origins of the story, please click here.Oh, and sorry it took so long to post this. NaNoWriMo kinda kicked my butt this year, energy wise, and I totally forgot to hit publish.
Now, how and why did I change it?
I love the concept of the Twelve Dancing Princesses and I’ve read several amazing retellings. In fact, it was reading those retellings that got me hooked on ya adaptations. So many authors have done so much with this story. So why redo...

The Origins of 12 Dancing Princesses
Alright, so this is one of the few fairytales I’ve found that stays pretty consistentthrough the ages.
The original tale (or rather, the retelling that made it famous) is by the Brothers Grimm.[image error]There was a king with twelve daughters, each more beautiful than the last, who are locked into their room every night (which any dad withthatmany pretty daughters would probably be doing as well). So what’s the problem? Well, every morning the door is unlocked and the king discovers that they’ve worn...

NaNoWriMo 2019
Normally I would use this time to tell you all about my latest book, but…
National Novel Writing Month is upon us again! For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about, every November there is an event for writers. We challenge ourselves to write a 50k word novel in 30 days. The [image error]whole purpose is to help light a fire in those people who have problems finishing books and tohelp inspire people to do what they think is impossible.
I had a blast last year, so I thought I’d try it again...
