Advent Day 18

Alright, this short features a cameo from Marvel’s favorite trickster god, but we all know he isn’t the only one out there. Every culture has a trickster, and that leads to some tricky situations.

Advent Day 17

This short has a funny story attached to it. The flash fiction club I’m a part of does warmups at the start of every meeting and we also rotate who is hosting. One week, I was hosting and had all the prompts prepped on my computer. Unfortunately, I had to go to an appointment for my day job, and my mom/boss and I were late returning to the office. In fact, we were stuck in traffic when the meeting started. And I didn’t even have my computer. So, while sitting in stop-and-go traffic on the freewa...

Advent Day 16

How about something more appropriate for this season? After all, what’s more Christmas-y than glitter? 😉

Alright, it’s time for a return to form. You guys like me because of my fantasy stories, so here’s another one. I had fun thinking this up.

Advent Day 14

And now for something completely different. This particular short was part of a warmup my friends and I did. It had to be in a genre you don’t usually write, so you’ll have to tell me what you think. Would you like me to try writing this type of thing again? Is it something you’d prefer I avoid? Leave a comment and let me know.

Advent Day 13

Since it is the 13th, thereby a semi-spooky day, how about a Halloween throw-back? Am I making up a reason to share this with you? Yes, yes, I am. Sorry, not sorry. Don’t worry. More seasonally-appropriate stories are coming later.

Advent Day 12

Alright, folks. Time for another sci-fi short. I may or may not turn this into a full book at some point, but you get to enjoy it in this format for now.

Advent Day 10

This one is going to be a bit atmospheric. It also includes a reference to one of the first writing prompts I was ever given. I was told to write something that involved both Jello and owls. If any of you were in Creative Writing Club with me in Jr. High, you might know where this is going. If not, no worries. It’s just a weird Easter egg I put in there for myself.
