Day 2,450: JTTW

Late! But, only because the Ho and I were packing for our little trip tomorrow evening. Almost all packed; tomorrow morning I’ll gather up all the toiletries.

Solid writing session this morning. Didn’t get an evening one in because I got a work project handed to me right at 5pm and there were follow up questions and coordinatings and wrapping my head around what exactly the ask was galore. It’s okay. That happens. At least I had a good morning session. Whew!

Anyway…off to bed. Night night....

Day 3,449: A bit more…

According to my apple watch, I’m averaging around 7 hours and 15 minutes of sleep a night at my current bed time and wake-up time. Hmmm. Not good enough. Need to be closer to 8…and it’s funny, just that extra half-hour I can FEEL, man. It’s hard, though, because I really do need to be up by 6:45-7 in order to get in a full writing session before work. And it’s really, REALLY hard for me to fall asleep before around 11:15.

It’s a conundrum. I think I’m going to adjust, though, by having my ala...

Day 2,449: A bit more…

Day 3,448: Good Boy

We had dinner al fresco tonight. So fancy to say it that way, innit? It was flat-out GORGEOUS outside this evening, a fact that became apparent as we were taking the pups on nighttime walkos. And so we were like: why don’t we go eat outside?

Day 3,447: Fresno

Got to see my friend’s play reading tonight at USC. It was so good! One of the best things I’ve seen him done, and I know it’s even still a work in progress. Incredibly proud of him. Good job, Joe.

It was Easter today. Ashika dressed up as a superhero/easter bunny. Snapped some good photos of her hunting for eggs, both inside when she first woke up, and then later outside once she’d eaten breakfast and taken a bath. Love her so muuuuuccchhh.

Wiped. Kids, man. I have no stamina. Can’t keep...

Day 3,446: Video Capture

You know what’s really, really frustrating? Like, REALLY frustrating? That professional sports don’t allow you to purchase full games, and I mean, like, purchase so that you can watch them whenever you want, for all time. Like, I want to sit down years later and WATCH, in full, like it actually happened back in the day, the greatest games of the teams I love.

Day 3,445: Disparate

A mishmash of a day. All great pieces though, truly.

Pups first thing. Joy is getting so good at walking. By that I mean going on a walk. She’s really figuring it out. So freaking proud of her.

Then I did my Netflix work. Then I finally (finally!) finished categorizing all the expenses for this year so far. I just have a little bit of work to do in terms of figuring out our budgets, but we should be in good shape shortly once we get a few reimbursements.

Day 3,444: …better

Today was…better. I make some legit progress on the writing front AND was able to handle my Netflix work plus getting some work done on the finances (effing FINALLY)…all without feeling exhausted.

It’s funny, I slept in by accident for about half an hour this morning, and I think it really made a difference. I really do. That and it was Liz’s turn to take out Joy last night for pee in the middle of the night…but I still woke up for that, so I don’t know. It really could just be the little bit...

Day 3,443: Winning

So tired lately. Damn. I think it’s residual effects of working for 17 hours on Friday last week. Sigh. BUT…I will say this: I’m out there battling.

I had to take a nap before lunch. I was that tired. Literally falling asleep at my computer desk, so I just laid down and conked out. It helped. I was able to finish my work day. I mean, I’m glad I listened to my body and I rested, and I’m so thankful to be able to work at home where I *can* do something like that…but it’s frustrating to be that ...

Day 3,442: Whining

Oooo, Joy is trying out some new stuff tonight. She’s currently whining in her kennel, and a little earlier, she tried to growl at me when I was trying to take something out of her mouth that she wasn’t supposed to have. Naughty baby.

She’s so good though. Truly. Such a good pup. Really sweet. Very gentle. And really wants to be a good dog. She listens so well for her age. I’m so glad she’s in our lives, good god. So. Glad.

Hectic day. Work was a little busy, and a ton of my day, more than...
