Day 3,446: Video Capture

You know what’s really, really frustrating? Like, REALLY frustrating? That professional sports don’t allow you to purchase full games, and I mean, like, purchase so that you can watch them whenever you want, for all time. Like, I want to sit down years later and WATCH, in full, like it actually happened back in the day, the greatest games of the teams I love.

It’s wild, but you literally can’t do that. Crazy, right? I mean, I’d pay to be able to do it, too. Even rent that shit. Fine, give me ...

Day 3,445: Disparate

A mishmash of a day. All great pieces though, truly.

Pups first thing. Joy is getting so good at walking. By that I mean going on a walk. She’s really figuring it out. So freaking proud of her.

Then I did my Netflix work. Then I finally (finally!) finished categorizing all the expenses for this year so far. I just have a little bit of work to do in terms of figuring out our budgets, but we should be in good shape shortly once we get a few reimbursements.

Theeennn…finally got to go and p...

Day 3,444: …better

Today was…better. I make some legit progress on the writing front AND was able to handle my Netflix work plus getting some work done on the finances (effing FINALLY)…all without feeling exhausted.

It’s funny, I slept in by accident for about half an hour this morning, and I think it really made a difference. I really do. That and it was Liz’s turn to take out Joy last night for pee in the middle of the night…but I still woke up for that, so I don’t know. It really could just be the little bit...

Day 3,443: Winning

So tired lately. Damn. I think it’s residual effects of working for 17 hours on Friday last week. Sigh. BUT…I will say this: I’m out there battling.

I had to take a nap before lunch. I was that tired. Literally falling asleep at my computer desk, so I just laid down and conked out. It helped. I was able to finish my work day. I mean, I’m glad I listened to my body and I rested, and I’m so thankful to be able to work at home where I *can* do something like that…but it’s frustrating to be that ...

Day 3,442: Whining

Oooo, Joy is trying out some new stuff tonight. She’s currently whining in her kennel, and a little earlier, she tried to growl at me when I was trying to take something out of her mouth that she wasn’t supposed to have. Naughty baby.

She’s so good though. Truly. Such a good pup. Really sweet. Very gentle. And really wants to be a good dog. She listens so well for her age. I’m so glad she’s in our lives, good god. So. Glad.

Hectic day. Work was a little busy, and a ton of my day, more than...

Day 3,441: Costco Run

The fridge is FULL. Kinda cray, we went an entire month on our last Costco run. We usually go about three weeks, but this last one was a full month. Made a good dent in all our bits and bobs of random food, too. Like the fish fillets in the freezer, for example. Ate a bunch of those. I’m proud of us.

It’s already bed time, so I’m cutting this short. Writing today was a struggle bus, but I expected that. Gonna come out tomorrow swinging. Night night.

Day 3,440: Fuzz

Looking at Coops’ fuzzy back right now. It’s so…flippy. Like, his hair curls at the very end, giving it this swoop on the tips. It’s very handsome. Of course. Oh wow.

Had a nice sleep-in. A nice nap. And between that, Liz and I went out to a wine shop/restaurant, had a flight of their featured wines, ate some pretty dang good food, and then walked around Santa Monica. It was really, really nice. Loved it.

After taking a nap, I went outside and actually pulled the weeds that I wanted to pul...

Day 3,439: Alive

I’m alive!

Man. Working for so long yesterday wiped me the fuuuuuck out today, which I knew it would. Gonna be tired tomorrow, too, but not as bad as today. I took TWO naps. Neither of them for very long, but passed out for each one pretty much immediately. And I just…chilled. Didn’t do anything. Recovered.

Work told me that the stuff I submitted last night after the epic day was two thumbs up. Whew! A relief. I was a zombie last night when making the final renders and uploads; I didn’t ev...

Day 3,438: Wow

Okay, so I worked for sixteen hours today. And by “today,” I actually mean “yesterday” because I, in truth, never wrote this entry. It was 12:30, I’d been working straight since 9am, and I was an absolute mush. Zonked. Wiped. Didn’t even realize I forgot. Just passed out.

The good news, however, is that I got my shit done. Work was happy. All is good.

That’s all for this one. Onto actually writing tonight’s entry 🙂

Day 3,437: Copy

A’s won on opening night. I think it’s the first baseball game I’ve watched (almost) in full in…two whole years? Maybe three? The A’s man, they just. They really ripped it out of me over the last 20 years of just never keeping players. I know almost nobody on our team. Maybe…three players? Laureano, Kemp and…Seth Brown. I know those guys. Everyone else, literally all of them, no idea who they are.

But, hey! We won.

It was wild watching the game, truly. It’s different. Very, very different....
