Day 3,421: Drenched

So.

Much.

Rain.

Our house now has TWO leaks. Not just the one. This summer we are going to have to pony up for that new roof. Sigh. Gotta happen. And then watch, next winter it won’t rain at all.

Day 3,420: Puppy Dreams

Coops is having a puppy dream. Borkin away at something. What, we’ll never know.

It’s almost bed time. Like two minutes away. And the sleepiness is hitting me right on time. Haven’t even taken a melatonin. YET.

How am I? Been thinking about that question for a bit, getting ready for bed. I’m…okay. Not great. Not terrible. Felt a little bit of a productivity switch happen with the time change. I just…I feel so much better when the sun goes down an hour later. SO MUCH BETTER.

Day 3,419: Teams Meeting

I got up on time. I didn’t STAY up…but I did get up.

It’s rough the first couple weeks of daylight savings time. Not gonna lie about that. But I come alive with it. That extra hour during the day means everything to me. I can get my stuff done.

Today wasn’t particularly efficient, but I got my stuff done. I plan to do the same thing tomorrow. Let’s go. Get this damn outline done.

Day 3,418: Beats

A restful day. I wanted to get stuff done, but it just wasn’t gonna happen, man. I was wiped. And tomorrow is the time change…and I want to get up early and start re-setting my wake up clock. Ugh. It’s going to SUCK. But…I can do it.

Coops down at my feet. Panda in bed next to me. Joy in her crate. Coco’s spot on the bed is empty. I miss kissing her goodnight, smelling her, and slipping my hand up underneath her blanket and feeling her weight, and her breathing. It helped me sleep.

It’s another late Friday night! Podcasted with J. We gabbed a bit. We set him up with some new equipment. Gave him a birthday present. And we watched Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. It all took a bit longer than usual, which was just fine by me. We were having a good time.

Home now. Tired. Long week. Ready for sleeeep.

Day 3,416: The Hits

Had a wonderful evening with Thilde today. Picked her up from school, we all went and had dinner together at Homestate, then we got boba near our house, picked up the pups, and then all drove her home. And Cat got to come home tonight from the hospital. Whew!

Day 3,415: Money

Late, so a quick one tonight. Liz and her dad have new phones! Oh boy did they need them. Liz’s was literally fritzing out today to almost unusability. Got a new one just in time. Now for the first time in two and a half years, her camera will be better than mine. Mwahahaahaha.

I worked on finances much of the day. Not for taxes, but just in terms of getting organized. We did better last year than I thought. That was…a relief to see. Our first full year in our house and we had one of our bett...

Day 3,414: Home

Up and down day. Up and down…BUT…I got my shit done for work, I handled the house and the pups so we were ready for Lin to arrive—he’s in town for a medical conference—and our fridge is full finally of groceries. What a relief that is. We’ve been BARE since getting the house fumigated.

Day 3,413: Error

Trying to troubleshoot an error with Rekordbox on our main DJing computer. Ugh. Our subscription recently updated, but for some reason we can’t get it to go through on this particular machine. The good news is that it’s working on our other computers, just not this one.

Productive day today! Had a good writing session. A very good one. The detailed outline has begun! Chilling opening scene(s). I dig it. Hopefully the reader will too. Nice little setup for later on in the book, and perhaps the...

Day 3,412: so neat

It late. Just here to say that I did it. I woke up on time. I got stuff done, and that meant going to hang out with the King kids didn’t stress me all out. I’d handled what I needed to handle.

Phew.

Tomorrow, gotta repeat that. Starts with sleeping on time.
