Day 2,408: The Groove
Back in the groove, writing-wise.
Man…that’s a good name for a book on writing: Writing Wise. Damn. Gonna have to remember that.
Anywho: the editing/planning is back to feeling hand-in-glove. Took a few days, but I’m digging it. Reading what I’ve written, making notes and identifying component parts. Taking it all apart, so to speak, so I can put it together even better.
Work was good. I haven’t been crazy productive in that regard this week, but I’ve been steady, and that’s enough. I’m...

Day 2,407: Revising
I’ve transition into revising my new book’s Act 1 this week, since I finished it last week.
It’s good, because I still have much of my editing/revising process to figure out. I will say this, however: I do have the first part of it down. I’ve created my own template for doing the Story Grid scene analysis breakdown.
That’s where I am at the moment. Breaking each scene down. I’m almost through chapter 1, which is waaaaay too long. But, I already have ideas on how to shorten it. Simplify.

Day 2,406: Controlling The Narrative
I made some friends on Twitch tonight! That was fun
“One of Our Planets is Missing” (Star Trek: The Animated Series S1 Ep3)
Josh didn’t expect to like the animated series as much as he does, the boys cast the Enterprise crew as wrestlers with signature moves and catchphrases, and DeForest Kelley laments that while everyone else got ripped in animation…he just got older.

Day 2,405: Progress
Progress is being made on the personal front.
I had therapy today, and among other things—many, many other things, including how I feel betrayed by my country right now—we talked about the progress I’ve made.
I’m happier. I’m healthier. I’m more productive. And…though it’s still scary, I’m dreaming big again.
That’s complicated for me still, dreaming big. The act itself is wonderful-feeling and inspiring, but it doesn’t always make me feel good afterwards. Sometimes, it highlights for m...

Day 2,404: The States of America
My country is on fire tonight. Again.
I was talking with Liz about that while we were walking the pups tonight, just before a curfew was ordered in effect for all of Los Angeles. The last time I can remember protesting and rioting like this across the country was Ferguson. That was 2014. And here we are again.
So much in this country needs to change. We fought a war over slavery. The racism, fear, and anger in the US is deep. On nights like tonight, I fear we’re never going to get there, w...

Day 2,403: Teeth Day
Wow. So, today was all about my teeth, apparently

Day 2,402: Act One
Milestone today: I completed act one of Old Glory.
Compared to Escape From Red Tower, that’s record time!

Day 2,401: Writing Machine
Writing was on fire today. Love the scene. Digging the characters. Got my three pages plus a couple extra done, including a nice writing session tonight.
Played another set for Twitch, and had a blast doing it. Working through my tech house tracks right now. Some good stuff in there! Found it weeks ago, but this was my first real chance to get in there and play what I’d collected.
Very much enjoying mixing the past couple days. I want to keep it up during the weekdays. I do it before we ta...
