Day 2,402: Act One
Milestone today: I completed act one of Old Glory.
Compared to Escape From Red Tower, that’s record time!

Day 2,401: Writing Machine
Writing was on fire today. Love the scene. Digging the characters. Got my three pages plus a couple extra done, including a nice writing session tonight.
Played another set for Twitch, and had a blast doing it. Working through my tech house tracks right now. Some good stuff in there! Found it weeks ago, but this was my first real chance to get in there and play what I’d collected.
Very much enjoying mixing the past couple days. I want to keep it up during the weekdays. I do it before we ta...

Day 2,399: Let’s Fucking Go
Feeling rested. Rejuvenated. Recharged. Ready to fucking go.
It was great to have the last three days off. Been a while since I had that many days off in a row, and I really enjoyed it. It was helpful to have some extra time and leeway to go and DO something and still have enough time to recharge for the work week.
We went and saw our friends Stephen and Thida for some quality socially distant hang time. They have an area outside the back of their house that we were able to set chairs up i...
“Yesteryear” (Star Trek: The Animated Series S1 Ep2)
We’re going back in time! The Guardian of forever makes another appearance, this time with insight and adventure in Spock’s past. Josh and Ira engage in an epic rap battle, we talk about the close bond between pets and children, and marvel at just how freaking GREAT this episode is.

Day 2,398: Foolscap
I finished a rough outline of the story for Old Glory. It’s solid. I can see the story from beginning to end. I love it. When it’s there and polished, it’s going to hit all of the beats it needs to give that really satisfying thrill.
I mean…I hope. If I do it right

Day 2,397: Late
Late one, so I have to make this quick.
We watched Infinity War tonight, which is not a great movie. I remember thinking it was fine when I watched it in theaters a couple years ago, but now, in retrospect, especially watching ALL of them…it’s not great.
It’s definitely not the worst. But, damn, they make some questionable character decisions in that movie. Especially with Peter Quill. Blech.
They stick the landing, however. The end is exactly what it needs to be. Utter failure. Disaste...

Day 2,396: Hardcore
I played some music tonight after walking the pups. “Hardcore” is what it’s called, though there are of course various sub-genres within that umbrella…and it’s so fun. Absolutely bonkers, but so fun.
What I didn’t realize about it was that a good 50% of music, AT LEAST, is super melodic and pretty. It always crescendos and drops into something super dirty, hard, and fast…but those sections never last more than 30 seconds or so at a time. The rest is epic and beautiful.
Musically, especiall...

Day 2,395: Zonked
Holy crap, I am wiped the fuck out.
And all I did was work all day and then podcast. Jesus. Lol.
Podcasting does take it out of you, though. Or, rather, me. I know it’s true for Josh, too. It’s exhausting. In the best freaking way.
I’m that very happy, content exhausted right now. I had a very, very productive day today. That’s a little surprising given I went to bed an hour late last night because of checking out the algae blooms. I wasn’t really tired during the day, though, nor did I...
