December 27th 2020 Update

This is my last update of the year. That’s a little stunning to me, and I’m kind of… absorbing what happened over the past year. Lots of victories and losses, things that didn’t go how I wanted them to… but in the end I’m pretty satisfied with what I’ve done. I’ll talk about my plans for 2021 on the first, but for now I’m just going to focus on the usual, reporting on my progress.

Marin’s Codex Art Update

At long last, I’ve gotten the art of all of the original three books of Ancient Dreams updated, as well as Marin’s Codex. The art below was painted by Hoàng Lập, and I’m really quite happy with how it turned out. While I haven’t updated the cover of the book yet, I will be doing so in the next few days.

December 20th 2020 Update

As I said this last week, Queen’s Journey is finished, and now that I’ve received feedback from several of my Alpha readers I’ll be starting on my second editing pass tomorrow. I fully expect that to take much of the week, and into next week. With it at this stage, I contacted the editor I’m using, and with the schedule they have, I’ve moved the release date to February 1st, 2021. I look forward to sharing it with everyone!

December 13th 2020 Update

Queens Journey is complete! The rough draft, anyway, and I expect to send it to my Alpha readers sometime tomorrow. My estimate of how long it would be was surprisingly accurate, as it came out to very close to 120,000 words, and overall Im happy with it! Well see what the Alpha readers have to say, though. I intend to schedule time with the editor shortly, which will allow me to move the release date up. Im looking forward to it.

December 6th 2020 Update

Queens Journey is up to just over 110,000 words, and entering the final stages. I think Ill finish the rough draft this week, but no promises. I wont know until its completed, after all! I also did a test run with another editor which went well, so I should have it out in January, unless disaster strikes. Well see how that goes, and Ill update the release date once everything is scheduled.

November 29th 2020 Update

Good news and bad news this week, so let’s get to it. I have Queen’s Journey up to 100,000 words and a bit extra, which isn’t quite where I wanted it for this week, but given the holiday in the United States, I’m not surprised, either. What surprised me was that I got my writing done on Thanksgiving, then Friday I couldn’t get more than about 100 words out. Hopefully I’ve recovered by Monday.

November 22nd 2020 Update

Queen’s Journey is up to 90,000 words and counting. I’m not to the climax of the story yet, so who knows how long it’ll end up being? I certainly don’t! I’m really looking forward to seeing exactly how it ends, since I know approximately how it’ll go, but the details always surprise me.

November 15th 2020 Update

Queen’s Journey is up to about 77,500 words, which honestly surprises me, as I got mild food poisoning on Thursday. I’ve also been working hard on Broken Chains, which is making slow but steady progress, but I’m not prepared to announce anything yet regarding it.

Other than that, I haven’t been doing a lot. The holiday season is upon us, but things are up in the air as to what I’m going to be doing for them. I really don’t want to get sick, so I’m playing things safe as much as I can. I’m hop...

Queen’s Journey is up to ~65,000 words, and moving along nicely! Hopefully everything keeps going this way, but we’ll see. The past week has been pretty steady for me working on Broken Chains as well, though I’m not trying to do tons. I really look forward to seeing how it turns out, since I’ve had the ideas in mind for a long time.
