October 3rd 2021 Update

Soul Bound Book 2 is up to about 12,500 words, since I was taking it easy this past week, trying to get back into the groove of the characters. I’m not sure how much I’ll get done this coming week, since I have some things going on which might interfere. Still, progress! That’s about 1/8th the length of the first book so far.

September 26th 2021 Update

*double-checks the title* Okay, good, I didn’t screw up the day or the month this week… or the year. Apparently my brain was fried last week. Onward!

I didn’t get a lot done, since I had about 3,000 words to begin with and only got it up to 5,000, but I’m getting back into the swing of things for Xandra and Jasmine. September 19th 2021 Update

Not much happened this past week. I finished my editing pass of Adept of Chaos, which is now with the editor. After accounting for some slippage in potential scheduling, it is now set for release on October 15th. I might be able to move it to an earlier release date, but I can’t be certain of that.

At this point, there isn’t much else I have to say, though. I’ve been working on a few things, but Adept of Chaos was so enormous that I found myself unusually exhausted after finishing up editing....

September 12th 2021 Update

I’m most of the way through my final edit of Adept of Chaos, and should be sending it to the editor this week. Once they tell me when to expect it back, I can update the release date and the like to be accurate. I’m really looking forward to sharing it with you!

September 5th 2021 Update

My week off is done! Well, mostly. Tomorrow I start the next editing pass on Adept of Chaos, after which it’ll be off to the editor. The editor is expecting a three week period to finish editing the book, so I anticipate that it’ll be an early October release. Sorry, everyone, but I’ve definitely missed my goal of late summer for this one. Still, it’s getting there! I’ll update the release date as soon as I have a firm date I’ll get it back.

August 29th 2021 Update

I’ve completed the rough draft of Adept of Chaos, with just over 160,000 words. It might grow, it might shrink, but it’s definitely the longest book I’ve written, and I’m taking a week off to avoid burning out. It’s 50% longer than I expected, after all! That said, I’m not updating the release date just yet, I need to figure out how extensive of changes it might require and set up an editing date with my editor. I’d call it either the last week of September or the first week of October at the so...

August 22nd 2021 Update

Adept of Chaos is up to about 147,500 words, and in the final stretch of the book. I give even odds I’ll finish the rough draft this week, but I’m not absolutely sure. What I am sure of is that this is going to be one monstrously-sized book for me. I honestly expected this book to be closer to 100,000 or so words, maybe as much as 110,000. If you’re curious about how many ‘pages’ that is, as a rough estimate your average paperback has ~350 words per page. That means a 100,000 word book is about ...
