June 13th 2021 Update
Queen’s Gambit is out, and it looks like people have enjoyed it! That’s a heck of a relief for me, simply because I was worried I might flub the ending. I’m glad I didn’t! As for the audiobook, it’ll be recorded in September, so it’ll be a few months yet.
With Queen’s Gambit out of the way, and having finished my side project Broken Chains (that might be better as a series title… I don’t know yet), I’ve returned to work on Adept of Chaos, book 2 of Eve of Destruction. I already had Part 1 of ...

June 6th 2021 Update
Queen’s Gambit comes out tomorrow! I am really, really excited to see what people think of the finale of the arc I’ve been planning. I’m not going to claim I’m not nervous, but… eh, what else is new? Here’s the link below!
Not much else is going on right now, save that I’m expecting new cover art for Chosen of Chaos any day now. The in-progress sketches have been excellent, so I’m looking forward to it. I hope you all enjoy the book!

May 30th 2021 Update
A bit to share this week, so I’ll get into it. I’ve been working on a story that I started all the way back in 2017 called Broken Chains, and which was up on my website as a short story for a while, as only four chapters. It isn’t anymore, because I’m trying to figure out what I want to do with it. I’ve got about 73,000 words on it, and am approaching the end of the story, or at least the portion I’m focusing on. Honestly, I want to finish it so I can write Adept of Chaos and some other projects...

Not much happened this past week, as Queen’s Gambit is off to the editor and I’ve been recovering a little… and I got sucked into a novel rather thoroughly. That’s done, though, so I’m poking about other things. I did get several pieces of art, though, and I’m going to share one today!

May 16th 2021 Update
Editing of Queen’s Gambit on my end is complete, and I’ve sent the manuscript off to the editor. I have cover art, but I’m waiting for the scheduled timeline from the editor before setting up the pre-order. I’m guessing it’ll be the second week of June, but no promises just yet.
On the other hand, I think Mario Wibisono knocked the art out of the park this time… so here’s the cover I put together with the artwork this time. Nothing more to really say today!

May 9th 2021 Update
I got the basic changes I needed made to Queen’s Gambit done, and also have the color preview that I approved yesterday. I’m really, really excited to share the cover, because it looks awesome, in my not-so-humble opinion. I wish I could draw like that.
On the other hand, Friday I got my second dose of my COVID-19 vaccine, and as I expected, it’s completely wrecked me. I’m hoping that I’m back to normal by Monday, but there’s no guarantee about that. I’m going to keep this post short because ...

May 2nd 2021 Update
I finished the rough draft of Queen’s Gambit this past week, with just over 100,000 words, and initial reviews from my alpha readers are promising. Unfortunately, they have found at least one thing that’s going to require expanding on the book a little, but I’m not sure how much it’ll require overall, that’ll have to wait until I have time to examine it in more depth. Mostly, I’m happy that it appears the plot has exceeded expectations in most cases, so I didn’t screw up entirely.

April 25th 2021 Update
Alright, I’ve got a couple of pieces of information to share today, so let’s get started!
First off, Queen’s Gambit is up to ~93,800 words. I expect I’ll likely finish the rough draft this coming week, at which point I’ll be going into editing, scheduling it with my editor and narrator, and all of that sort of thing. April 18th 2021 Update
Queen’s Gambit is up to ~82,500 words, after a solid week of writing. I might finish the rough draft this month, but I’m not sure… a lot depends on how the story plays out from this point. Though I’ll find it horribly ironic if it ends up being one of the shorter volumes of the series. While I don’t have a release date for you, I do have news that Mario Wibisono is starting on the cover art as of tomorrow, so it’s getting closer! We’ll see how it works out.
