September 6th 2020 Update
I’m almost up to my usual writing speed, as Dusk Gate is just over 91,500 words! I’m not sure how much more is left at this point, but I’m giving even odds it breaks 100,000 words. It probably will, thinking about it, but I’m not making promises. My characters have surprised me too many times as it is. I also don’t have a release date, as I’m trying to figure out editing. My usual editor is currently scheduling for January and beyond, so I’m looking at another editor and debating.
On the othe...

Queen of Diamonds Audiobook Released

Queen of Diamonds is now out on audio! I’m really excited to see what people think of it, as I think Sarah did a great job! I’m linking the Amazon and Audible links below. Alas, iTunes is delayed, as per normal, so I can’t link it yet.

August 30th 2020 Update
Alright, Dusk Gate is up to a bit over 80,000 words, which means I got a lot more done this past week than I had in previous weeks! That makes me happy, as does the fact I got my new desk and got it assembled. It’s too soon to know for sure if it’ll make a difference, but I’m hopeful!
In slightly different news, I’m happy to say that I had another art poll for my Patrons, and they’ve chosen to have Spark and Irethiel illustrated. Those will be finished in the near future if everything goes we...

August 23rd 2020 Update
Things were better this past week! I’m still not back to full form, but Dusk Gate just passed 70,000 words, which is significantly better than previous weeks. I’m still not sure how long it’ll be, so we’ll see where it ends up!
I also got another art piece back that was supposed to be for a Mantles of Power omnibus, but I’m not thrilled with it, so I won’t be using it. I’m going to share it at the end of this post, though. Odds are that I’m going to either use the art from last week or commis...

August 16th 2020 Update
I got Dusk Gate up to 61,000 words this past week which was… less than I’d hoped, but unsurprising considering the week didn’t go well for me as a whole. Still, I’m making progress, which is the important thing. If the desk I ordered shows up, that’d be swell.
Ah, and I almost forgot! Recording of the Queen of Diamonds audiobook is complete, and we’re now waiting on Audible to approve it. I have no clue when that’ll happen, but know that it should be out relatively soon! Hopefully this month, bu...

August 9th 2020 Update
This week wasn’t much better than last week, as Dusk Gate is up to ~55,500 words, which is at least decent, since I didn’t get any writing in one day this week. I’m trying to build up some momentum, but we’ll see how it goes.
On the other hand, Hives & Heroism has done better than I expected, and I’m happy to see that reactions have been good so far, and if any of you who’ve finished it would leave a review, I’d greatly appreciate it!

August 2nd 2020 Update
This week wasn’t great, but I still have Dusk Gate up to ~50,000 words. Not only that, but tomorrow is the release day for Hives & Heroism! I really hope that you all enjoy it!
In other news, I just got back new cover art for Halls of Power, completing the re-design of the original trilogy. The art was done by Crystal Rain, who did a breathtaking rendition of Tyria, if you ask me! In the near future I’m likely to put out a second edition of each of the trilogy, though to be perfectly clear, this...

July 26th 2020 Update
This last week I tentatively got back to work. I didn’t get as much done as I wanted to, but since Dusk Gate was already well on its way, I wrote a bit less than 5,000 words, bringing it to about 45,000 words. I’m probably going to be a bit slow on this one at first while I get back into the swing of things, and I’m also waiting on a new desk with better ergonomics.
To give you an idea of the story, one of the two main characters is an elf named Xandra, and she’s a bit… cynical, to put it mildly...

July 19th 2020 Update
Whoops, I’m a bit late with this today. I was planning out what I was going to say yesterday, and utterly spaced writing it.
I think my vacation is pretty much done, so I’m going to ease my way back into writing. After consulting my subconscious, I think that I’m going to work on Dusk Gate and hopefully finish it in the coming month or so. I think I just need to venture into fantasy for a bit after the more modern/sci-fi feeling of Lilith’s Shadow, especially since I’m going to be coming back to...
