July 12th 2020 Update
My vacation is ongoing, so I’m going to keep this pretty brief. I haven’t done much this week, but I’ve finished a short story about Emonael after the events of Marin’s Codex (only ~7400 words, so not long), and I’ve worked a bit on my Pathfinder 2e adventure, which has been difficult so far. I’m curious to see how the upcoming week goes, and am trying to resist the urge to write a Victoriana/Steampunk short story.
I’ll probably fail to resist. We’ll see! I’ll check in next week, though.

June 28th 2020 Update
This past week I finished editing Hives & Heroism. It’s about 102,000 words before my editor tears into it, so I’m pretty happy with the length overall. At this point it’s just a question of when it gets done, but I set the pre-order for August 10th because that’s after the latest deadline it should go to. If I can release it earlier, I will.

June 21st Update
I didn’t get the pre-order for Hives & Heroism set up this week, mostly because I got distracted with my side projects. I’ve done some of the prep work now, though, so I should have it up today or tomorrow, with any luck. I expect to be editing it for much of this next week, possibly more. We’ll see!
On the other hand, I did approve the audiobook of Queen’s Move this past Friday, so it’s on its way to publication, and is at the mercy of Audible at this point. Hopefully it’ll make its way through...

June 14th 2020 Update
This past week I finished the rough draft of Hives & Heroism, at a bit over 101,000 words. Overall I’m happy with how it turned out, but now I’m waiting for my Alpha team to read it and give me feedback. I’ve gotten some feedback already which has helped, but I’m waiting on the rest of it.
I’m going to try to get the pre-order up by next week, but the release date is going to be in early August since I was forced to push back the editing date.

June 7th 2020 Update
Queen of Diamonds has done well this past week, and thank you to everyone who bought it! I really hope you enjoyed the book, and I’ll get to the next one as soon as I can! If you’re willing, a review would help a lot as well.
On the other hand, Hives & Heroism is up to about 92,000 words, and approaching the end. I’ve got a fair number of things to wrap up, so I’m not sure just how long it’ll be in the end, but I’m looking forward to it!

May 31st 2020 Update
Queen of Diamonds comes out tomorrow (today for people in the Eastern time zones), and I’m really excited to see what people think! Things go a little weird in the book, and some of the things I’ve been planning since Born a Queen are starting to pan out at last. If you get it, I hope you enjoy the book! Incidentally, recording has started on the audiobook of Queen’s Move, and it’ll be immediately followed by Queen of Diamonds. It’s still going to take a while, though!

May 24th 2020 Update
I almost put 2019 instead of 2020 in the date above, which made me a bit sheepish! You’d think that after five months I’d be used to it, but sometimes I forget. Anyway, on to the actual update!
I have Hives & Heroism up to 70k words, which is pretty good! Not quite where I wanted it this week, but preparing the pre-order of Queen of Diamonds took longer than I expected on Wednesday. I’m really looking forward to seeing what you all make of it, since it took some interesting twists and turns!

May 17th 2020 Update
I got a lot more done on Hives & Heroism this past week! Its up to 60,000 words, and Im guessing its about 3/4 of the way done. Im not certain, mind you, because it could always go longer than I expect. Hopefully a little longer, because I prefer slightly longer books, but itll be as long as the story requires.
