3 Reasons to Try Pipsticks’ Sticker Subscription

Collaboration alert! The sticker love is real here in the studio. I love using stickers in almost every project I work on and one of my favorite things is having stickers that fit the spread or project I’m working on perfectly. Of course, that requires a steady supply of stickers. That’s where Pipsticks comes in. Pipsticks, if you don’t already know them, is a sticker subscription company that sends you new, beautiful, fun stickers every month and I am incredibly excited to announce that I collaborated with them on three of the sticker sheets included in this month’s pack of stickers! Maybe you’ve never heard of Pipsticks before or maybe you’re a long-time fan, but either way, I wanted to share three reasons I think you should try out the subscription to kick off a new year of paper crafting. Also, be sure to read until the end for information about an awesome giveaway opportunity!

I collaborated with Pipsticks on some of the sticker sheets this month and they are super cute and versatile. My writing shows up on three very different sheets of stickers. One features beautiful holographic hearts in bright colors and various sizes. The other has handwritten phrases that focused on positivity, community, and love. The third is way more practical but it’s for you planners and bullet journalists out there– a black and white matte sheet of days of the week stickers. Whether you prefer simple, minimal layouts or colorful sticker-laden spreads, there’s a little something here for everyone.
Pipsticks isn’t just any subscription service. The stickers themselves are incredibly beautiful and unique, but there’s much more to it than just getting a package once a month. It’s truly a community. There are raffles, creative challenges, and a little magazine included in each package that features interviews, sneak peeks at the next month’s stickers and You can get 15% off your first three months of the subscription with the code AMYTAN15.
These stickers are incredibly unique and you won’t be able to find anything like them elsewhere: snow tigers, sparkly florals, and worried-looking sushi rolls. Some are matte, others glossy and all are absolutely gorgeous.

GIVEAWAY INFORMATION! Up for grabs is this amazing January Pro subscription pack! To kick off the collaboration, Pipsticks is hosting an awesome giveaway, giving you the chance to win some super-rad prizes from both @AMYTANGERINE and Pipsticks! Here’s what you’ll win:

Your Gifts Matter

One of the best books I read last year was Stretched Too Thin by @jessicanturner. I needed to learn “how working moms can lose the guilt, work smarter, and thrive” and ended up with so much more. It was gifted to me by my friend @elisejoy at a time when I was truly struggling. This is one of my favorite quotes from the book, which through the 12th is just $1.99 for the kindle version. What makes you unique? Please share ❤️

Zinia’s Custom Shine On Cards
Hello everyone, it’s Zinia here and today I’d like to show you how I customized the already amazing cards from the Shine On card kit to take them to the next level.
I actually only used a couple of products to embellish these cards and the item I used the most was certainly the Shine On sticker book. I really love that this sticker book has a ton of amazing clear stickers that can layer beautifully on top of existing patterns.

The three cards I picked out of the box were the heart, the camera and the “yay” designs.
For the “yay” card I kept things very minimal as I didn’t want to make it too overwhelming that it’s hard to read. I just picked a few clear stickers of delicate leaves in black color and adhered them on both “Y”s of the design. I added a couple of chipboard stickers across the exclamation mark and then just finished the card with a few white enamel drops.

For the heart design, I basically filled the rest of the empty space following the same pattern. I picked small floral stickers in gold and white finish and covered all the solid parts of the card. To cover the areas that were too small to fit a sticker but still too large to leave empty, I added a couple of gold metallic enamel drops.

Last but not least, I added some embellishments on the camera card. I used a bunch of puffy hearts to surround the camera lens and again I used the beautiful floral clear stickers around it.

I really loved this card kit from the moment I got it but I never imagined how fun it would be to embellish these cards even further. I really hope you got inspired from these ideas to create something beautiful, until next time, happy crafting.

A Year In Review Blog Hop | Altenew

Happy Holidays Crafty Friends! Welcome to yet another amazing blog hop. In celebration of the end of 2018, I wanted to share some of my projects that you haven’t seen from the past 12 months using one of my all-time favorite brands, Altenew. I first fell in love with Altenew products at Creativation and I’ve been hooked ever since. Their lines are always unique, interesting, and fun to use.

This year, there were a ton of fun projects I worked on using Altenew. We even used some of their giant washi tape at Jack’s 5th birthday party! But I wanted to share a few specific projects with you. Earlier this year, I attended Queen Bee Market in Las Vegas to teach a workshop (you can watch the YouTube video here) and run a booth with my mom. While I was there, one of the projects I taught was to make a blank notebook into a work of art using Altenew products. This project was especially fun for me. I was able to decorate the front of a fabric cover blank notebook using the awesome layering dies. It gives the cover a multidimensional look and feel. I added some embellishments including some of the gorgeous washi tape.

It isn’t just me. I recently hosted a workshop on intention setting and brought Altenew watercolors for people to use in the group crafts. Everyone loved using them. Not only are they beautiful and pigmented, they also help people feel excited about the projects they’re working on. They are fun, easy to use and it can be reassuring for people who are venturing into crafting or painting for the first time, especially in a group.

Happy Holladays to All

The holladays are here! It’s our last full week in the studio and we’re working away on some super cool projects. Even Buster wants in on the fun. I am still enjoying how beautiful the Dreambox looks even though the rest of the work desks and tables aren’t quite as picturesque. It’s great that one thing in the studio always looks amazing and super organized when the rest is caught up in seasonal chaos. Even then, it’s still a bit of a work in progress… I’m still not sure what to put in the jars on the left door. Any suggestions?

Holiday Happiness

The great thing about happiness is that, unlike holiday lattes and music, it is acceptable and available year round. There’s no “season” for happiness except the moment you’re living in right now. There’s also no expiration date on it, either. It’s easy to get caught up in the holiday hype and prioritize giving and receiving instead of stopping to truly savor the special moments we have with loved ones. Honestly, what we remember most in our lives isn’t actually things– it’s the people, laughter, and love shared together.

Easy Steps for Spreading Cheer

It’s time to ring in the season with some joy and color. No matter how you celebrate the holidays, it’s important to do what you can to spread some cheer around your community. I wanted to do something special, so I decided to #MoveFor prettying up some sidewalks around town with some holiday inspired designs and sayings. Hopefully when people see these, they’ll pause, smile, take pictures or simply feel inspired to do something creative themselves.

Of course, all this running around town meant I needed to feel comfortable. I’m always on the hunt for the perfect sneaker, so I can move around the way I need to and still look stylish and not have to worry about spending all day in the same shoes. I was so excited when reached out to partner with me for this project because it was the perfect pair of shoes for the excursion– especially because you all know how I feel about shoefies! If you would like to see how the project turned out and how to do something like it in your own community, keep reading for easy steps!

Step One: Figure out what you’re going to write! You could just think about what messages you would like to stumble upon. Of course the internet is also the place to go for this. If you need a good place to start, check out my Word board on Pinterest for inspiring quotes and thoughts.
Step Two: Decide where to write. Pick out places in your town that people will see and that would benefit from the decoration. I chose a couple sidewalks near a school.

Step Three: Go and do it! This can be a solo adventure or a trip out on the town with your tribe. Be sure to wear comfy shoes!

Step Four: Document your process and handiwork.

I loved doing this project because it’s focused on what my work is all about: bringing a little extra joy and sunshine into the lives of others using art and positivity. Try chalk lettering around your town with uplifting quotes as a "gift" to everyone. What will you do to lift the spirits of others this season?
This post is in collaboration with
, all ideas and opinions are my own. As always, my creative partners and I appreciate the support.

Zinia’s Washi Vortex Layout
Hello everyone, it’s Zinia here and today I’d like to share with you a really fun way to use your washi tape stash to create a scrapbook layout.

It goes without saying that I’m crazy about washi tapes. And just like most crafters out there, I have so many rolls in my stash that are good for a lifetime. So I’m always really excited to find new fun ways to use my favorite washi.

This idea was actually inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night. Looking at the vortex shapes of the brush strokes on the sky of this painting I thought I can recreate a similar effect with small pieces of washi tape on my background. So I grabbed my Shine On washi tapes and a few more products and I got to work.
Before I started sticking the washi tape pieces, I covered the bottom part of my page with a piece of light blue pattern paper. You can definitely cover the whole background with this technique but I wanted to reserve some space for my journaling.

To make the process faster, I cut pieces of wash tape in bulk and stuck them at the edge of my working desk. I had around 6-7 pieces of each color at a time and once I adhered those on my page, I just cut another batch to work with.

To embellish the page, I chose some floral images from the ephemera pack and sticker book that had some sort of curvy design. I did that to carry that movement of the washi vortex on the rest of the design as well.

I really hope you enjoyed this page, until next time, happy crafting. -Zinia

Altenew’s Crafty Friends Blog Hop + Giveaway
Hello Crafty Friends! Welcome to yet another amazing blog hop. Not only will you get to see projects from me and so many other members of the crafting community, you’ll also have the opportunity to win some incredible products from Altenew!

I'm so excited to be part of Day 2 of Altenew's Crafty Friends Blog hop. If you’re coming from Olga Moss and you’re new here - welcome! Please check out all the other blogs in the hop and see the amazing creations people are coming up with all these Altenew stamps, stencils and dies.
The next stop on the hop is Therese Calvird. But before you head over to the other posts, be sure to read all the way to the end of this post to see all the blogs that are participating in the hop and learn how to enter into a big giveaway opportunity!

For this post, I wanted to share something I made in what I call my “Hopes and Dreams” journal from Archer & Olive. Because it’s more of a free flowing book, I just gave myself some time to freely play with stamps and watercolors for the most part. Altenew stamps have a special place in my crafting heart because they do so much to bring a page or spread together. Adding stamps to empty spaces can also help alleviate that sinking feeling when you miss a day of journaling or crafting. Stamps are great because they add layering and depth to any spread and you don’t have to worry about your drawing skills if that isn’t your strong suit.

I started with the stamping and then ended up doing the watercolor and journaling in bed. It’s amazing what you can do with your supplies!
The journaling came from the heart. Part of the inspiration came from a friend going through a tough time right now, and part of it was just a reminder to myself that though we all go through struggles, within us lies a light that is meant to shine bright.

Here are all the blogs participating in today’s blog hop!
(you are here!)

Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 5 lucky winners and one Altenew Academy class to 5 lucky winners. There are also 12 awesome friends who are celebrating with us!
