Cover reveal! The Warrior's Apprentice
More blue, always a hit with me.
The figure, I think, is that six-foot-tall Miles that lurks in his head and ambushes him from time to time. The motion is all Miles.

Cover reveal! Shards of Honor
It took several passes to come up with this one -- the first three not-there-yet style-mock-ups, plus another this 4th series. Saw this one, laughed, and thought "I have to have this." I am not at all sure how Ron came up with it -- it was a surprise to me. I have no idea what potential readers will make of it, but it certainly sums up something essential about the relationship between the two main characters at one glance. "The outward and visible form of an inward and invisible grace", to paraphrase.

Cover reveal! Komarr
One of the more deceptively simple images, and yet so right for the book, I think. (Also, I'm a sucker for blue.)

Coin toss next between Shards of Honor and The Warrior's Apprentice. Each has its amusements.

surprising place to be mentioned
Huh!

Not quite the prominence as the Gaiman, but for anyone who starts clicking to the right, there's a good chance they'll hit it before click-fatigue cuts in...
(I should title something "Aardvarks Away!" someday.)

Cover reveal! Borders of Infinity
This, too, should be up at the usual vendors within the next couple of days.

One of several images inspired by suggestions from the brainstorming session on my chat list.
This was a tricky title to cover, as the three novellas are all so different in mood, but while this cover most obviously references the title story, I do think it rather applies to Miles across the board, at certain stages of his life.

Cover reveal! Cetaganda
Next in the sequence. It should be up at the usual suspects in a day or two.

This one went through a couple of drafts, first to work out the design, then to bring it into visual harmony with the rest of the set. Ron might be persuaded to chime in with an explanation of the mandala-like background, which I classify as "Artists just wanna have fun..."

change of pace cover
Aha. My present from UPS today was a box of my author's copies of the upcoming Baen reprint of Shards of Honor, due to hit stores November 3rd, straight from the printer. A slim but very clean trade paperback.
front:

and the back:

It's been a long time since that started-it-all title was available as a single volume. I'm very glad to see it back in print. Barrayar is supposed to follow in January, so both Cordelia books should be on deck in time for Gentleman Jole and the Red Queen in February.

cover correction
Aha. Turns out there was supposed to be a thin black line around the four white-background covers, to define them when placed on white screens, but which got lost in the shuffle. (Thanks to one of my chat-group listees for pointing out the issue.) Now restored, though it may be a bit before my e-books person can circle back and fix it on the vendor pages.
This should look better:

There's Always Something.

Cover reveal! Brothers in Arms
And herewith the third of the 17 -- I did say, no particular order. (Actually, the order is, I'm doing the shorter books that throw me the fewest textual microediting (micro-editing?) dilemmas first. So you may expect the pace of posting to slow toward the end.)
It would pop better against a background that wasn't also white (it looks great in my slideshow mode), but one takes what one gets.

For anyone who has been longing for a cover that shows Miles at full length at his correct height, and build, more or less, there you go.

Cover reveal! Ethan of Athos
Herewith is the second of our 17 new e-covers. (They are going to go up in somewhat random order, as I finish cross-checking my text files.) Each e-cover image is different from all the others, yet maintains series unity in assorted ways.
(At the time of this posting this e-reissue is already up in the Kindle and Nook stores; there will be a short delay for iTunes.)
