U forgettable review and release blitz, S. B Alexander

This book was a little all over the place for me. It started off full steam ahead, but didn’t give details on what was going on. It was also never, EVER explained what the hell haven was doing at the party in the first place or why she felt compelled to approach Ryker. I’m also not sure as to Haven’s character. She says she’s a rebel but I didn’t really see that. She’s also pretty loose but I didn’t feel that fit either. I also would’ve liked to have seen a uniform way she refers to her father.Ryker was an okay character for me. The yellow brick road thing didn’t really make sense to me and the constant repeating of it annoyed me a little. What I really wanted to see was just more depth of feeling from both of them. It’s clear they want to sleep together, but I didn’t really see love.
I liked the mix of sports and politics, but the characters didn’t really pull it together for me, sorry.

On the corner of love and hate review, Nina Bocci

Enemies to lovers is one of my favourite tropes, and for 50% of the book, you get that and it comes through perfectly. From that point everything drags and drags and drags. It’s such a shame because the hate between Emma and Cooper is real. There’s also so much flip-flopping with each of them it gets frustrating. There was also a lot filler about the local town and goings on, some of which I did skim as I didn’t care for it.Also, for a story that is so focused on Cooper’s campaign, I don’t understand why she never investigated the paper and source of misinformation, as was foreshadowed by the governor’s email early on. The way it was solved was SO unsatisfying.I also would’ve liked the relationship of convenience aspect to have been played up more, as well as a whole heap more romance!
I really wanted to like this book, the enemies to lovers aspect, as well as the spin on relationship of convenience should’ve been fantastic, but it fell flat.

Crew princess review and excerpt, Tijan

It pains me to say this, but I was a little disappointed by this book. It’s still incredible, but against Tijan’s impeccable standards, it falls a little short. To be honest, I’m not entirely sure why. A lot happens in this book, but also, not a lot happens. It felt a little disconnected from the first book and I think it’s because I don’t feel like the crew was really involved in what was going on. They were kind of seperate for most of the book. I also wanted more romance. I know Tijan isn’t massive in romance, but I still wanted more overt happenings. I did love the development of Bren in this book though. She’s come a long way and it’s nice to see. I still love Cross, but think this book could’ve used more of his POV.
Still, this book is great. I love these characters and can’t wait to see what happens next!

I hate you review and release blitz, Ilsa Madden Mils

This was a solid book. I like hate to love, and football stories so this should’ve been right up my alley. There was just something that didn’t quite click for me.I was a bit confused as to Blaze and Charisma’s relationship. They weren’t together long at all and I wanted to see why that three weeks meant so much to both of them. I felt like it should’ve been longer.I also wasn’t keen on charisma herself. To me, she was overly selfish and never once opened up to Blaze even when she knew what he’d been through and how it was bound to affect him. I liked Blaze. He has a vulnerability to him that made me melt. To me, it felt like he did most of the work for the relationship.
I have a bit of a rocky time with Ilsa’s books. Some I love, some not so much. This is a not so much one but it is still a solid book, give it a go!

Sweet.

Caring.

Charitable.

Quiet.

Fake.

Underneath the meek, tomboy exterior everyone loves (yet pities) is a girl who knows exactly what, and who, she wants—namely, the boy from the treehouse who taught her how to curse in sign language.

Who taught her how to laugh.

To live.

To love.

Knight Cole is everyone’s favorite football hero.

Gorgeous.

Athletic.

Rugged.

Popular.

Liar.

This daredevil hell-raiser could knock you up with his gaze alone, but he only has eyes for the girl across the street: Luna.

Choosing us review, M. Robinson

Wow! This book was one heck of an emotional roller coaster and I loved every minute of it. It was hard for me to go with the flow at first, but once you start getting bits of information about Aidan and Bailey, things start working out. Camila is a twist you’re not quite sure of but do enjoy.I loved the kids, Dante and Curtis especially.Skylar and her connection is a little more tenuous, for someone who is new to this author.
Still, I highly recommend you give this a go.

Hush, hush review and release blitz, Lucia Franco

Holy. Lord. This book... I don’t think I’ve read a more, unconventional for sure, but truly romantic book in my life. Aubrey and James are made for each other, truly made for each other and I loved them together. This book had everything. Incredibly hot, like scorching hot, sex scenes, drama, angst, sadness - I dare anyone to tell me this book isn’t a tearjerker as well! I couldn’t get enough of this book and desperately wanted more. I’m also secretly hoping Natalie and her mystery man get a book, I’d love that.
If hot, taboo, angsty, tearjerking reads are your thing, get on this NOW! If they’re not, I still reckon you should give it a go, I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Unexpected Fight review and release blitz, Kaylee Ryan

This was a solid book. I love this series, Unexpected Reality is one of my favourite books so I was excited to get back to this group. I loved Reagan and Tyler. They’re a great couple, i just wish we could’ve seen more of the gooey, sappy couple-y stuff. I know that’s not not how their relationship evolved but it is something I wanted to see. Also, because of the course of their relationship, you do tend to anticipate something bad happening. I’m not entirely sure what happened was as big as I thought it would be, but it was a shock anyway.
All in all I don’t think it quite lived up to Unexpected Reality, but it is a solid book and I do recommend it if you’re after an easy read.
