Rebel review and release Blitz, Ginger Scott
I quite enjoyed this book!
I love that it was a character that probably, normally would’ve missed out on a story arc, but here he has his chance.
Cam is a great character, very multi faceted and multi layered. I really enjoyed getting to know him.
Brooklyn was interesting as well. I do think a little more could’ve been done to make her pop a little more, but she was solid.
I liked the way this story progressed, but do wish there was a little more romantic build up.
I also wish I knew more about the girls friendship group. It plays such a big part of the story but we know relatively little about them as a group.
Still, this was a solid addition to the boys of Welles series and I can’t wait for the third book! 📖📖📖📖

About the book:
On the surface, Cameron Hass always seems a bit risky. First to take the dare, last to leave the tracks in the face of an oncoming train, the Boston rebel has always liked to flirt with danger. But underneath, he’s terrified. Not about breaking an arm or getting pulled over for driving twice the speed limit, but about the man he’s going to become when he graduates from Welles Academy. His role models have never really been much to look up to.
Brooklyn Bennett, on the other hand, always appears to have it together. Every button is done, every hair in the perfect place, every grade not just an A, but an A+. Beautiful, smart, and from political royalty, Brooklyn set her future goals at the age of five, and she’s never strayed from the path of following in her parents’ diplomatic footsteps.
Until now.
Surviving a terrifying car crash her junior year left Brooklyn questioning a lot of things. Losing her best friend left her feeling alone. But Cameron’s always been a good listener. And messy or not, his heart has always been in the right place. And when Brooklyn needed someone, he was right there. Maybe . . . he’s been there all along.
But how do chaos and rules go together? And what happens if the rest of the world wants to keep them apart?

The close-up blog tour, Kennedy Ryan

I met Nazareth Armstrong when I was eighteen years old. From the beginning, my brother warned me to stay away from him. Told Naz to stay away from me.
Our hearts didn’t listen.
I shared one magical night under the stars with my brother's rival, thinking it was the start of a once-in-a-lifetime something.
But one awful moment ended it all.
Years later when we meet again, we’ve both pursued our dreams, lived a little, found success…but never found love. What began as a tiny flame when we were young now threatens to consume us. I’m more drawn to Naz than ever, but his complicated history with my brother makes whatever this could be…nearly impossible.
But Naz accepts impossible as a dare.
Through his clever maneuvering and dogged determination, I find myself on a yacht with him and his friends cruising through the Mediterranean. It’s a whirlwind set ablaze. Away from reality, surrendering to the tender heat of his touch, I forget that everything could burn.
*This is the love story of Takira, who first appears in Reel, book 1 of the Hollywood Renaissance series. Characters from the HOOPS series also make appearances, but you do not have to read any of those books to enjoy this one.
**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

Keep reading for a look inside The Close-Up!
Naz has abandoned his cabin completely and has spent every night over the last week with me. Why front? He brought me here, and we can’t get enough of each other. I’m glad we’re on this yacht with a bunch of couples who also can’t get enough of each other because we’d be pretty obnoxious otherwise.
He’s rich as hell and could shower me with material things. And he does. At every port, I find some keepsake from the local shops he’s left for me in the room—an ankle bracelet, clips for my hair, diamond earrings. There has been no shortage of gifts, but the real gift has been his attention. The way he cares. The man bathes me. He wraps my hair up at night. He washes my face. I don’t know what this is, but I feel spoiled. Doted on. Adored. At first I was like…is this cringe? Is it weird? But then I recalled all those times when I didn’t feel valued in a relationship. All those times a guy disrespected me by looking at other women all night. All those times I didn’t feel this almost embarrassing amount of single-minded focus from a man who’s determined I’ll know how much he enjoys me. How much he likes me. Cherishes me, even. He’s constantly pulling me onto his lap. We sneak away from the group anytime the mood strikes us. Last night at dinner, he fed me from his plate.
From his plate.
Who am I right now?
I’m that girl, living out a fantasy on a half-a-billion dollar yacht floating on dreams along the coast of Italy. Forget Black girl magic. This is pure sorcery, and if it’s a spell, we’re both under it.

The close-up review and release blitz, Kennedy Ryan
I love the way Kennedy writes. Her writing has a richness to it, and feels like caramel. It’s weird, but it’s the only way I can describe it.
I loved Naz and Takira. Takira especially was incredible. So strong, so confident, so unapologetic. An inspiration in character formation.
Naz was sexy and hell. I love the way he loves.
I also loved seeing the Hoops family again, that was great.
I do think things with Cliff wrapped up a little easily, but that was okay.
A hot, sexy, caramel-feel masterpiece. 📖📖📖📖

Loner release blitz, Ginger Scott
This was a solid book from Ginger. A bit of a departure, but the characters still feel as real as any she has written before.
I liked Theo. He had a great depth to him, and his self awareness was great.
I also like Morgan and Brooklyn.
Lily was a solid character, but I felt like I wanted a little more from her.
I also felt the ending was a little cliché. It was uplifting and a very hallmark moment, but I feel like it cheapened it a little bit.
Still, I’m excited to read the other books in this series!
I would also add trigger warnings for self-harm, domestic abuse, and child abuse. 📖📖📖📖

About the book:
Theo Rothschild wasn't a bad boy, but he wasn't quite good either. And shy Lily Beachem was content admiring the hottest guy at Welles Academy from the comfort of her quiet corner. Until Lily's best friend, Theo's sister, decided two lonely souls should be together.
And maybe she was right.
Theo and Lily felt something that night they sat awake and talked for hours under the cover of the woods and a blanket of stars. But when tragedy struck their small, elite East Coast boarding school, robbing them of friendships and any hope of a normal life, being alone became the only thing that made sense.
But sometimes the deepest bonds are forged through pain, and for Theo and Lily, holding on to the threads of their connection might do more than ease their broken hearts. It may finally make them whole.

When stars come out review, Scarlett st Clair
This was an okay book, but I think it needs work.
The word building and explanations are kind of weak.
It’s never really explained how Anora knows what she knows and she seems to know more and more as the book goes on, despite not knowing anything.
It’s also super convenient that her and her mother end up right where she needs to be, and again is never explained how or why that happens. It’s literally just, “a brochure turned up”.
Also, what’s described in the blurb happens like 60% of the way through the book. Why is it part of the blurb if it happens so late?
Despite that, I did like the twists and turns.
But, as I said, this book needs work.

Misfits cover reveal, Elle Kennedy
MISFIT
A Prep Novel
Finding out your mom is marrying some rich dude you’ve never met is enough to make any eighteen-year-old guy’s head spin. But for RJ SHAW, it only gets worse: he’s being sent to Sandover Prep for senior year. If there’s one place a misfit hacker like RJ doesn’t belong, it’s an ivy-covered all-boys boarding school for rich delinquents.
RJ knows his stay at Sandover will be temporary. Which means there’s no point making friends or trying to fit in. But the plan to remain antisocial goes awry when he meets a gorgeous girl in the woods on campus. SLOANE TRESSCOTT is pure temptation, with a sharp tongue and an ice princess attitude RJ’sdetermined to crack. Except there’s a catch. Sloane is the one girl he is forbidden from touching.
The headmaster’s daughter.
Good thing RJ doesn’t believe in rules. Sure, Sloane insists she’s swearing off guys this year, but their connection is impossible to deny. He wants her bad, and he’s going to win her over if it kills him.
Unless her ex-boyfriend kills him first.
DUKE, the ruling king of Sandover, will stop at nothing to get rid of his competition. Luckily, RJ’s unwittingly made some friends—his new stepbrother FENN, a pretty boy with a self-destructive streak; LAWSON, self-proclaimed agent of chaos; and SILAS, the All-American Good Guy who can’t actually be as nice as he seems.
If RJ wants to survive prep school and win Sloane’s heart, he’ll need to adapt—and fast.

the resurrection of wildflowers review and release blitz, Micalea Smeltzer
This was a solid end to the duet.
I did find it a little info dumpy at the start, and I was expecting it to be way more angsty than it was, but it was a pleasant second-chance romance.
I found it cathartic, healing and positive.
However this was all undone by the ending. I found it abrupt, rushed and almost unfinished. In fact, I reached out to make sure it wasn’t a file error and that was indeed the ending. It almost felt like Micalea felt she was taking too long and just ended when she felt like it, rather than where the story deserved. Which is strange considering the last 10% of the book was wrapping up, only for the book to finish with no preamble whatsoever. It was disappointing. I wanted to see the ultimate family happy moment and we didn’t get that. For me, it’s taken the shine off a beautiful duet.
Still, please check trigger warnings for this duet! 📖📖📖📖
