Meet Larissa Pretorius today!
Larissa is rocking her new business, growing her dreams, her abundance, and making incredible changes, not just in her life, but also her students and clients! The time of Covid kicked her into gear to go after her creative ideas and she has skyrocketed and produced programs to empower young women that will blow your mind. She blew mine with such great ideas, and the fact that she did them, She did not let the pandemic stop her. She is building a tribe of ‘tween girls on her island of Tasmania, Australia…GirlPower Tribe..to help these young girls and teach them how to love themselves, to teach them tribal bellydance, which is a community style of dance, to teach them how to share and talk with each other, and so much more.
We talk about what being in a group coaching program (my Mastermind) has supported her for the past 10 months, held her accountable, inspired her. She allowed her ideas, and her own daughter, to motivate her and make things happen. She has already designed, produced, and had printed a deck of affirmation cards for the girls too, which are fantastic. With a workbook coming soon. Her vision continues to grow and what she has to offer these young women is revolutionary!

More about Larissa:
Larissa Pretorius is the founder of GirlPower Tribe. She is passionate about empowering women and more particularly girls through dance and discussion. She lives on King Island, a small island in the Bass Strait between Tasmania and mainland Australia. She currently teaches Global Caravan Tribal Belly dance to the women and girls. Drawing on over 25 years’ experience, teaching and facilitating with the Education department of Western Australia as an Early Childhood teacher, Currculum Officer, Literacy Specialist, Peer Mentor and school leader, Larissa has recently created the GirlPower Tribe Affirmation deck and Guidebook as a powerful tool to build self-confidence and inner strength. She draws her inspiration from her experience as mother to four kids aged 8 – 20 years, and most particularly her daughter Selene. She believes strongly in creating a sense of “tribe” and belonging amongst her dance students and created GIrlPower Tribe as a way to deepen connections for younger students. GirlPower Tribe is a space for women and girls to be a part of a circle. We are committed to raising up ourselves and others through discussion and friendship. Larissa says, “With positive affirmation, movement, and fun, together let’s develop inner strength and resilience!”

Your Makeover!
Is it time for Your Makeover? And I’m really not talking about getting new makeup!
I’m talking about restoring your dreams and courage, feeling whole and alive again, in your body, your mind, and your heart. A restoration!
In working on my new group coaching program, I realize that what happens with my clients is that they go through a makeover. I wrote about this in my newest book too. Because that is exactly what you do, makeover from the inside out. Starting at your heart and your core, moving and shifting energy and desires. Reconnection with yourself. Co-creation!
This week on my Heart and Hustle Live,
Which is at a new time on a new day…Wednesdays at Noon PST…
I talked about the idea of co-creation…
Think about it, everything you do, needs someone else, in some way, to make your paper so you can write, to grow the food so you can cook, to make the canvas so you can paint, to record the music that makes you dance, and on and on…how lovely is that, a big never-ending circle of support, of inspiration.
So everything is a collaboration of some sort, whether it is intentional, or pre-planned, or down the assembly line of products, or even by chance.
There is power in that circle, in tribe, in community, in connection of like-minded focus, of intentional collaboration, of creating with someone else, or sharing one’s ideas and creations with someone whom you trust and will listen.
Co-creating, sharing, working with someone, collaborating. Working with another can be so powerful, and clarifying. That energy of you bringing life and reality to your creations and ideas, with guidance, and of co-creating is magic. And working with someone who can help steer you and share with you tools and methods to get you moving. That is illuminating!
That someone who is not your husband or wife, or mom, or friend. But someone who gets it, who gets you, and what you are wanting to change, to try, to step into. Someone who has been there.

This is definitely not a spectator sport and I’m so happy it wasn’t. You must show up, share and be ready to dive deep to get what it is that you seek. In the past, I might have signed up for something like this, invested money, and not complete it. I would look for any excuse to not do the work.
With this group, I looked forward to what I would discover about myself with each exercise and was eager to share breakthroughs I had. Going to the meetings was time I carved out in my day for me! Once a week I was able to close the door, sign into the meeting and have meaningful conversations with like-minded individuals also seeking their way toward creativity and what they desired. I recently had the honor of being part of Paulette’s Coaching class. I had an opportunity to be in Paulette’s class and it could not have come at a better time! With so much unknown going on and having to shut down my in-person dance classes for a while. I was in a space of not knowing what to do or how to do it. Going through her processes I was able to get a clear focus and purpose of my direction and actually make big strides and put some definite plans in place, and take the steps and actions to implement! I was surrounded by such amazing women and found that I was not totally alone as we all had similarities. Paulette’s leadership is just amazing and it is well worth it. Cinzia is in the house! This woman is a multi-talented dancer and yogi, has worked with me for about 15 years, as a student, a coaching client, a Global Caravan Troupe dancer, one of my GC Certified Master Teachers, and an incredible yogi and teacher. She is based in Milan, Italy, spending much time in England too, with her English husband, but has traveled the globe teaching and performing, many times with me and our troupe, and also solo.
This year she has shifted her life and her business, partially because of Covid, but also because she has been ready to up-level her business, her creativity, and her life. We’ve spent much time together, online of course, lately, with me as her biz and lifestyle coach, in one-on-one coaching, but also in a group coaching program that I have run for the past year.
The steps she has taken to create change in her work, in her work habits, her visions for her creative time and projects have been so amazing to see, and to ride along and help guide her on her path. She’s got some new projects coming to life, and to listen to how she has changed into a growth opportunity, creating more freedom, more EPIC self care, more prosperity, and stepping outside of the box to create a new way of running her dream and her business.

Besides being a dancer I am also a dance and yoga instructor; my mission is to teach people to feel good, physically, mentally and spiritually. I think it is very important to offer tools like nutrition advices, breathing and relaxation techniques, exercise routines, affirmations and positive thinking to keep the whole human being with a good vital energy.
When we dance everyone always has a dual role: leader and follower. Being a leader means taking responsibility, leading the group in respect of the elements who compose it, trying to create unity, synchronicity, and well-being among each other. Being a follower means having confidence in the leader, not to challenge their decisions, to let go of ego, and follow with commitment and serenity. When I dance with my Sisters I forget who I am, I am entranced; my being is in full, cheerful, and complete harmony with those whom I am dancing with, in that time and space.
Working with Paulette gave me the opportunity to grow as a person and as a teacher and I feel grateful to be part of this project and contribute to it.

I became a vegetarian as a teenager and a vegan since 2011. Cooking is a family passion that was passed on to me by my grandmothers Assunta and Luisa and by my mother Anita. Very often I cook with my sister Elena and my husband Asif. Knowing how to cook was very useful when I became vegan because it allowed me to eat healthy and with taste while respecting my ethical choices. I love to invite friends for lunch or dinner and surprise them with tasty vegan recipes! Changing habits, feeling good, without giving up taste and being compassionate people towards other living beings is possible!

Ease, my word for 2021!
It is the new year, a new week, and how many of you have a new outlook?
Are you breathing and ready to move forward? Perhaps even change course?
This time of the year always gives me pause, and cause, for reflection, and making changes, which I find very exciting!
And I love to come up with a word for the year! Although there are a million words and phrases I value and live by, the word that comes on strong for me for this year is EASE. To live with ease. To work with ease. To flow with the current, to open up to receive and to give with ease. Then I use the word and develop some sentences, or mantras, as above.
Everything flows to me with ease.
Money flows to me with ease.
Clients flow to me with ease.
I work daily with ease.
My body moves with ease.
And I write these down and start to say them out loud every day, journal with them every day, write them on sticky notes, and put them around my desk.
Why don’t you do that too?
Share what your word is, with me, and with your mates, your kids, your coach, your sisters. Write it down, several times, and post in several places so you see it, every day.
Notice how it starts to feel, the more you see it, the more you say it. Does it light you up? Do you believe it? More and more, your brain will believe it, and your body, and YOU! And you can make it be, make it happen, feel the feels of that word. Ohhhh, so delicious!
Here is to a most fabulous new year, full of your heart’s desires, creative changes, and HUGS!!!!
