The Commitment to Sinlessness
This post was written by Tacoi D. Bell of The Anointed Editorial. To connect with Tacoi, see the information in the bio at the end of this post.
In Leviticus chapters 19 and 20, God tells us to be holy as he is. This means being pure and righteous — in thoughts, words, and action. When we choose God, we choose to walk after his likeness. He can only be holy, so we must strive to be the same every day.

Pride Vs. Humility Part 1 – James 4:6
Do you consider yourself humble?
I think I’ve asked that opening question before. We’re commanded to be humble in scripture and we’re talking about one of those passages again today. You get this often because I know this is a weakness of mine. I could be the poster child for arrogant.
James is quoting Proverbs 3:34 from the Septuagint which is the Greek version of the Old Testament that was studied at this time.

Our Role In This Battle – John 2:7
Do you ever wonder what Jesus wants you to do?
This is the story about Jesus’s first miracle, turning the water into wine. Do you ever wonder why Jesus asked them to fill the jars with water?
I think Jesus has chosen to include us because we need to be involved. If we could just phone it in, we would. God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are workers. We were made to work.

Unqualified – 1 Corinthians 1:26-29
Are you qualified to be God’s ambassador?
We spoke last year (a few episodes ago) about being an ambassador and a minister of reconciliation. Today, let’s talk about your qualifications.
We’re not qualified. But God knows what he’s doing. If we’re not mighty, noble or wise. If we’re foolish or weak, when God uses us, everyone will be able to tell who was behind it all. God is doing the work.

Purpose Elevates – Ephesians 2:10
Welcome to 2023. How should we start the year? I went to one of my favorite verses, Ephesians 2:10
When we’re saved, the next thought for me is, “for what?” What are we saved for? We’re saved for a relationship with God, but we’re also saved to be an example to people around us. And that example isn’t what we might think.
Imagine being created to do works, good works, and these works are prepared beforehand.

Thank You for Your Support of Follower of One
Thank you for reading these words, and thank you very much for the action you’ve taken over the last year. How Christ followers show up in the world is important. We are Jesus’s Plan A. He doesn’t have a Plan B.
Over this past year, your actions made a difference. You gave money, time, and energy. God will not let your effort be in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). At any moment, we can capture our thoughts and use them for Christ’s glory (2 Corinthians 10:5).

Becoming Righteous – 2 Corinthians 5:21
What a great passage for the podcast before Christmas.
“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 NASB
Our righteousness is sealed when we choose to follow Jesus. How we work that out is still up to us. Jesus’s part is complete. He knew no sin. Yet God made him to be sin on our behalf.

Godly Submission in Ungodly Places
This post was written by Tacoi Bell of The Anointed Editorial. To connect with Tacoi, see the information in the bio at the end of this post.
Life with Jesus means that we live in submission to the Holy Spirit. We submit ourselves to its leading and guiding as we seek the truth in the Word of God.
We are also subject to the “rulers” over us — whether they be pastors or work bosses.

Ambassadors for Christ Part 4 – 2 Corinthians 5:20
Have you ever served as a legal representative of someone else?
When you represent someone, you act in their place. An ambassador is an official representative who has been given power to act on behalf of the one they represent.
The apostle Paul says “we are ambassadors for Christ.” That doesn’t exclude you. He’s our example. Paul is asking the Corinthians to be reconciled to God. They will become ambassadors. Paul skipped back to the appeal.
