What The Soul Knows...

Strange thing, Reincarnation… You feel such strong connections to the past, to history, to mythology, its players and characters galore… You feel drawn to select cultures and traditions, foods and languages…
But the soul is lost when it comes to communicating your precise role in it all. Questions abound…
If you love all things medieval and Ancient British, were you a Viking fascinated with the English, or rather English captivated by all things Viking?
If your heart Feels drawn to pre-recorded India, were you a weary traveller who found a residence in 'Bharath', or were you Indian travelling the yesteryear world and missing the sights, sounds, and tastes of your Hindusthan home?
Only the soul seems to Recall what the mind finds difficult to recollect.

Tamizh Zombie Story

Waiting for the day when Tamizh cinema finally decides to do a Zombie movie of its own that will have international filmmaking quality and standards of storytelling. Imagine Chennai City wrapped in a post-apocalyptic 'gone to the undead' look and feel. So many ancient elements just waiting to shore up the plot. And the insane plot-twist? When our city goes underwater thanks to Human-induced Climate Change, we can tie that in to how the zombies even came to be. They can also conveniently write that the city was sunk to save the rest of TamilNadu from the zombie spread. Over time, they can adapt the now-drowned zombies in the now-sunk Chennai by evolving the undead into murderous mermaids. Booyah, sequel! And if the world does eventually fall to nuclear war, they can adapt the fallout and create radioactive zombie mermaids. few people will live to go see that third title in the trilogy, coz...um...nuclear.

#SaveAfghanWomen

Whatever the excuse – be it religious or cultural, social or traditional – anyone who subjugates women and treats them like slaves – to any degree, in any form or fashion – can never be respected let alone trusted.

The Collective Mindset

Most major sit-coms and generic comedy programs won't be even half as funny without the well-timed use of pre-recorded laughter tracks and of course actual people laughing in their seats. It is a well-established concept that Humans are social creatures. Similar to how quickly a single yawn can inspire another, one person's laugh can quickly, almost subconsciously, inspire more people to join in. This is the fundamental psychology behind the 'movie theatre experience'. To offer a popular example, watching Thanos get his comeuppance in "Infinity War" was exponentially better in theatres than on a personal home screen because more people cheered, and literally spread said cheer, around the space, creating a ripple effect of thrill and excitement that has always been called 'Entertainment'. The covid-19 pandemic has taught us a lot of things, especially regarding the deceitfulness of select names holding positions of political power and 'shadow influence'. It has also revealed the media business's reliance on 'movie theatre psychology' to help pump up their profit margins and box-office hit factor ratings. The time has come to actually evolve and get so creative and original that almost everyone watching something from home will feel just as 'Entertained' as Watching the same thing in a cinema hall. This prospect of producing unique and original stories has (understandably) scared a lot of people, because now they're going to have to stop relying on the 'lazy subconscious collective' and find a way to communicate a story sensibly and effectively, thus evolving every human's ability to think, feel, and laugh.

Food For Thought

With all the heart-breaking news about illegal trading in animal parts, one can't help but wonder if human beings are also being harvested for their organs and sundry. For one thing, humans are everywhere and a lot easier to catch. Just look at the record of kidnappings and missing reports and you'll Observe as much. aside from obvious nefarious (and sick) purposes, people could be trading in people for medicinal applications. So who knows whom we're eating when we pop, say, a nutrient pill or 'boost' of some sort. Humans curing other humans… Literally… Ha, classic! Talk about eating organic. Oops, did i say that out loud?

Two Coins

Foodie: "They have such large forks and knives here. I can’t wait to layer a little bit of everything that's on my plate on just one fork and feel what that combo tastes like." [Appreciates the happiness of other diners around them and waits eagerly to experience the same]

Critic: "They have such unusually big forks and utensils here. What exactly are these people serving, I wonder. I do hope they don't bring out a whole turkey and expect me to carve it up myself. Then again, judging by the prices, I most certainly hope they aren't compensating for something." [Judges the delight of other diners around them and waits anxiously to critique the same]

Geo-Sports Commentary 2021

The Chinese Government (CCP) quietly redefining the phrase 'friends with benefits' here. No covid-19 among any of the Taliban forces for several months as they planned and executed a successful takeover of Afghanistan. All those mass gatherings, all that shooting and jihadist hate, seems to have made a great remix-rendition of that 2020 hit song "go corona go". Progressive mindset be damned, the regressive 'dark ages' playbook seems to work better than any vaccine, so it seems. The systematic subjugation, restriction, and abuse of mothers, sisters, wives, and women in general apparently has more votes and takers than anything else where the Taliban are concerned. And oh look, great kick there from the so-called 'upholders of democracy', superpower-nations too, all busy gathering their chickens in an eleventh-hour evacuation attempt rather than fighting to uphold justice. Where are the Tweety-birds with their hashtags #JusticeForAfghanistan? Where are the sanctions against Pakistan and China for clearly supporting what is obviously a terrorist regime? Where are all the 'diehard nationalists' who witnessed China making it clear that the sacred soil of India can be intruded upon? Where are they despite Pakistan, whom we all know and love, constantly fuelling a fire that has now taken over an entire country well in the middle of the East? And it still remains unclear who's really 'ducking' whom in this friends-with-benefits scheme that is clearly going on in the bedroom of politics. One can almost imagine, with distinct disgust, the Chinese Government softly and silently whispering "come to bed" to its two new 'wives' in what looks like a classic Taliban-style understanding of marriage.

The Little People

I hope we don't have to wait too many years to see the day when A-list stars and celebrities stop speaking about what another legend or A-lister did on set or in a scene. It will be profoundly inspiring – especially for the people being spoken about – if an accomplished or prominent actor/actress refers to something an extra or side-artist, even a dancer, did that made a scene special. Such relatively 'unknown' men and women, young and old, need to be recognized – at least by word of mouth or in a popular performer's interview – about what they did that made the movie or series – the Art of cinema – a little better. The thrill and appeal of a dance number is made possible only because a variety of people dance with the lead actor/actress. The significance of every scene is made important because extras and 'atmosphere' are part of it. The magnetic power of a hero or heroine is only made possible with the added flavour of a side-artist's performance. I hope the day dawns when 'big' people talk about 'little' people who made them appear big on screen or stage.

Kiss of Death

Claws, stripes, fangs, stealth, strength, cunning… Why make a creature so powerful that little to nothing can willingly go up against it and live to tell of the ordeal? Though it is Death incarnate – the end itself wrapped in a coat of fierce fire and fatal splendour – a Tiger never cheats. The rest of the world just hasn't accepted the fact that Death is synonymous with the continuation of Life. Because Death is stronger, Life plays havoc within its bounds. For if Life ended up the more powerful party, it would grow so strong and so out of proportion that it would crumble under the strain of its own greatness and die a humbling death. The bigger they are, the harder they fall… Where Life throws punches, Death gives you a kiss.

Why Here?

Life is like your favourite game. The more you lose, and the more often you do so, you can't help but want to come back and try another match, hopefully with a better team, and with a less humiliating score. It's probably why so many of us keep reincarnating on Earth.
Scores to settle...
Odds to even…
