Winners-Losers
In a classist casteist society, everyone loses, except the ones who win.

Signs of the Times
From excessive land encroachment to natural-grown forest felling, from over-commercialization of real estate to the wilful rejection of urban flood-conscious infrastructure, from destabilizing ecosystems and local species to greenlighting projects that destroy forests and animals' homes, the warning has been sounding for years but the work has yet to begin. TamilNadu and Chennai's flood situation is proof of how ill-prepared we all are for continuous heavy rains, how ill-designed our damns and reservoirs are to handle high-capacity storage, and – if the IPCC report is to be factored – how guaranteed our beautiful state and city is for not just rains and flooding at the end of this century but full-fledged submergence. If policies are not drastically and 'organically' modified to reconnect us with nature's 'formula for living', and if new 'green' infrastructure fails to be implemented, we can all sit back and consider our homes a 'sinking city' and a 'sunken state'. forget santa claus coming to town, climate change has come to Tamil Nadu. Hopefully, Governments wake up and choose radical urban and societal evolution. we're already late, but Better late than never.

Dance Feel
It's funny how the human body – despite all its frailties, weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and shortcomings – turns insanely alive when it starts to dance.

The Late Work
When the neighbour is busy performing loud sawing and drilling works at eight o frikkin' clock in the late evening, I know I should be grateful, I know I should be glad. Because that means there are no zombies next door. But to have zombies next door will also make me grateful and glad coz then my Japanese Katana sword will have finally found a calling.

A Drunk Realization...
One drunk friend said, "At some point in this life, we all need to beg, borrow, or steal to keep going."
To which the other drunk buddy replied, "I am too dignified to beg, too principled to steal, and too anxious about being in debt to borrow."
The first drunk friend gave a loud hiccup and declared, "Then you, my friend, are too certainly doomed not to live at all."

The Reunion...
After years of separation following a regional war, two sisters who spent their childhoods together meet. Fate robbed one of them of sight and the other, her legs.
Sister 1: "It's strange that I still remember the two of us chasing each other through the woods. I haven't been able to walk for nine years but just the sight of you brought a phantom kick to my now-lost legs."
Sister 2: "You know what's even stranger? I can see only the girl I remember, not the woman now before me. And look… My eyes have forgotten how to see, but they still remember how to cry."

The More You Know...
The more you know about Earth and the world we live in, the more you realize just how much there is to love and protect. When it comes to the Universe the more you know, the better.

Ocean Drops...
"Why are you sad, girl?" asked grandma.
"I am but one drop in the ocean. I am insignificant. I won't be missed if I died today."
Grandma took a deep breath and shook her head.
"If each drop that makes the ocean thought such a thing, there won't be any ocean at all."

A Cosmic Joke...
We need to sleep in order to feel rested and gain efficient energy for the next day's work and toil. But there is so much work and toil that we are losing the sleep needed to feel rested and gain efficient energy. We need to create and construct efficiently, but to do so requires sleep. But to sleep means less time to create and construct efficiently. A cosmic joke is playing out every day and every night, from the moment we wake up to the minute we lay our heads down to sleep.
