Rejection...

When you hear "No" or experience rejection of any kind, see them for the gifts they really are and not the obstacles you assume them to be. Because a "No" can send you to someplace new, a rejection can inspire you to try things differently. They hurt only because you are holding them by the blade and not the grip.

The Grinch...

The Grinch has become a Christmas staple and he is known for several things, all of them bad. The theme song written for him extols all his vices and none of his virtues.

Has it ever occurred to haters of the Grinch that maybe this fictional character was trying to fight excessive lifestyles that over-wasted and over-polluted the world, with no end in sight?

Maybe the Grinch was isolated in a high peak because he was, probably, a scientist studying the ravages of Climate Change and its influence on the weather and ice all around him in that high-altitude region?

Then again, the Grinch was green from head to toe, but it may not have been from envy but a heartfelt desire to change the way the world views commercial consumption and ask them to make 'greener' more eco-conscious decisions.

Only the man who created the character can truly know, and Theodor "Dr. Seuss" Geisel died in the early 90s.

Comedy...

"If they ever made a movie about you, what do you want the first line on the screen to show?"

" 'Based on a true comedy.' "

The Grinch...

I had a dream last night, of China's President Xi Jinping dressed as the Grinch.

Because why the heck not? He has indeed proven to be
"the Grinch who stole Christmas".

Thank you for the new 'viral' update, mister.

and now we wait as accountability dies, again.

Time...

I always found the saying 'Time heals all wounds' strange. Because if wounds are left untreated, Time itself will cause them to fester, rot, and then kill the wounded.

Ram Setu...

In 2007, the Ministry of Tourism (under the UPA at the time) said, "As per the scientific evidence available so far, Ram Setu does not fulfil the criteria to be declared as a monument of national importance."

There are so many things wrong with this sentence. I believe Ram Setu bridge, located off the coast of Tamil Nadu, needs to be recognized as a National Monument and given a UNESCO World Heritage tag.

Overkill...

When I stepped outside my apartment, I spotted a small city of cobwebs along my doorframe, and spidery residents living there rent-free. I couldn't help but feel something witchy-sorcerous was going on.

Just when I was about to smile from mildly sinister glee, a neighbour spotted me. He stood staring as if for an explanation he wasn't owed. So I said to him, "I haven't taken down my Halloween decorations yet."

I slipped back inside my apartment, played the 'Omen Damien' soundtrack on full volume and beamed as I heard the neighbour scurry upstairs as if his life depended on it.

I muttered to myself, "These are the moments that make life worth living", before I carefully placed another human sacrifice onto my demon summoning circle. talk about overkill.
