World Cultures Speaker & Lecturer - World Cultures Speaker for Corporate, Colleges & Cruise Ships
I'm sitting in an Internet cafe in Rhodes, Greece right now at a local restaurant with flies buzzing over my head, screaming servers running to and fro throughout the restaurant and kitchen (some grumbling about making little money, other making excuses as to why they were held up by traffic and arrived to work late).
Meanwhile countless tourists have descended upon this lovely port town from cruise ships (such as Celebrity, with whom I'm traveling and speaking). Some tourists have more manners than others. To my right is a German couple chuckling as they try to figure out how to type letters to family and friends with one finger each.
To my left is a Latino gentleman on a web cam shouting "I love you!" to his wife and daughter back home.
Meanwhile it's a bit hot with no ceiling fans and the smoke from restaurant owners and patrons dining outside continues to blow indoors (since the doors are open wide) and contaminate my lungs.
Others are drinking beer out of glasses that are as large as a huge boot.
Crazy sites and sounds. Smoke is killing me! Ugh
Nevertheless this is global travel at its best.
I love it and the many people I meet, not to mention the phenomenal learning experiences along the way!

I watched a documentary on Boris Yeltson last night before bed on how he singlehandedly challenged and defied communism. Fascinating!
I always thought it was Gorbachev, but in actuality it was Yeltsin who made it happen. Yet thereafter in financial and economic disarray the people freaked and wanted to go back to free lunch communism and than Yeltsin turned becoming hard and became one of the bloodiest leaders in Russian history after Lenin (perhaps he was being advised by the Bush admin at the time and thought a militaristic approach was appropriate) ...it backfired.

Paul has traveled thus far to 55 countries, 50 islands and 6 continents. Paul travels on a shoestring budget to third world countries where he is asked to speak on numerous topics and provide humanitarian relief and aid.
Paul continually struggles with raising finances for his work and often has had to work side jobs just to save up enough money to buy air tickets to and from the various war-torn and disaster stricken nations where he travels.
On October 4th at the Cocoa Beach Military Air Show, a woman who just completed a 4 day travel academy (put on the by the travel channel in Washington DC) told Paul he could earn between $300 to $500 per video if he were to videotape a 3 to 10 minute video during his trips overseas. AirTran Airways Bad Customer Service: AirTran Airways Flight Cancellations & Bad Customer Service
AirTran Airways cancels early morning flight 623 from Orlando to Philadelphia and does NOT give traveler any food vouchers while he is delayed and in airport and even worse AirTran does NOT sufficiently reimburse business traveler for missed economic opportunities and a portion of his life deleted (as scheduled in Philadelphia) AirTran only reimbursing traveler a one way air ticket (as compensation for their negligence)...not even providing a roundtrip ticket AirTran adds insult to injury.
