Breaking Addiction: Fighting Addiction with Divine Power to Revolutionize Your Mental and Physical Health

Upon glancing at a newspaper this week, I stumbled upon an article titled "How to Fight Addiction" that never talked about how to fight addiction. The article, written by William Moyers (Vice President of the Hazelden Foundation, one of the world's largest nonprofit addiction-treatment centers), unfortunately was concluded by saying, "There is still no cure for addiction--more research is needed. But there is a solution that includes personal responsibility."

While I agree with the personal responsibility behavioral component, that alone will not suffice when an addict is overwhelmed and overtaken by a controlling substance to which they have become chemically and neurologically addicted.

Psychologists and therapists often fail to acknowledge and mention the triune nature of mankind -- that is we are spirit, mind and body. Overcoming fleshly compulsions and tendencies require our minds to be renewed and are spirits awakened. If we only fight and battle the fleshly tendencies and pull on us mentally, we will sometimes cave and yield to the flesh.

Yet if our spirit is energized, awakened and activated to participate in the battle -- the common sense of our mental faculties combined with our quickened spirit within will outweigh the flesh and be able to overcome it.

Jesus Himself said: "The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Matthew 26:41). Christ's prescription therefore was that we should pray so we don't fall prey to and get taken over by temptation.

The prophet Zechariah declared, "It's not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit saith the Lord" (Zechariah 4:6).

The apostle Paul acknowledged his "vile body" and fleshly weakness (Philippians 3:21), but said the key to overcoming the flesh is with the power of the Spirit.

"If you live after the flesh, you shall die: but if you through the Spirit do mortify (crucify) the deeds of the body, you shall live" (Romans 8:13).

"They that are after the flesh, do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. To be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace" (Romans 8:5-6).

Energy flows where focus goes.

Most addicts are so engrossed in their addiction physically that when therapists and psychologists tell them mentally to fight it, they become overwhelmed by the whole process and further enamored with the very substance they are trying to resist.

It is no different with sin. If you continually behold and focus on something, eventually it is likely you will give in and attend to it.

Therefore the way to freedom is to focus on something else and live purposefully by arousing your mind and spirit to attend to something more meaningful and fulfilling.

We become what we behold. Therefore lift up your eyes to heaven where your help comes from! Upon looking upon our Creator and Lifegiver above, we will be filled afresh with His life and love to thereby love ourselves sufficently to break free from substances unnecessarily entangling and dwarfing our lives.

"Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." (2Corinthians 3:17-18)

This is why taking responsibility is not enough. Because if you put an addict in a room with other addicts desirous of "taking responsibility" and humbly acknowledging their addiction, they all still sit there bound beholding one another. Beholding a room full of addicts may make you feel responsible, but it does not liberate your spirit and soul.

You must lift up your eyes and reposition your focus. Otherwise freedom will never come as long as you continue to behold your bondage and sit in a room with the bound.

The apostle Paul acknowledged his frail and pitiful state in the flesh saying, "O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from this body of death?" (Romans 7:24)

His revelation which led to his great deliverance and liberation - I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. (verse 25)

Jesus was a "child of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 1:18).

When we therefore connect with Christ and "live in the Spirit" the constraints of the flesh can be broken and our lives freed.

"Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh" (Galatians 5:16).

Herein is the addict's solution, deliverance and liberation.

Prayer for freedom from addiction. Fall to your knees and pray out loud:

"Wonderful Jesus, thank you for dying for me so I can live free! Forgive me for my sin and dishonoring my body. I believe You rose victorious over sin, death, hell and the grave Jesus. Now come mightily and deliver me from this torment of addiction. Fill me to overflowing with your blessed Holy Spirit so I can experience liberation, become a new creation and fulfill my purpose powerfully for your glory. Reverse the curse for me and help me live in liberty. Come Lord Jesus and reign in me giving me newness of life. Amen."

If you prayed that prayer, please write and tell me.

Thanksgiving, Prayer, Bible Study and God's Glory to Live Fully in Victory Daily

On Thanksgiving before we dived into the turkey, my Dad led family and friends celebrating together in prayer and thankfulness to God. As my father prayed, I sensed a strong Presence of God on him as he led us in prayer. This is the heavenly Father's desire for us daily, privately and publicly.

Here below are some helpful insights to more easily get you there and bless your spiritual journey daily.

Much love, admiration, thankfulness and gratitude to my Dad for helping me in my younger years to put faith in and trust God above to love and lift my life to new heights and new levels.

Bible readings are excellent, rich and fortifying. Do continue as a mature disciple in this regard, but know those Scriptures in the Old Testament (such as Leviticus and dietary laws, as good as they are to ensure good health and prolong your life) are merely the periphery but not the utmost nor the fullness of Christ.

It has been said by Bible scholars:

"The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed and the New Testament is the Old revealed."

The law came from Moses, but grace and truth came from Jesus Christ (John 1:17). Note the two different divine dispensations of time.

The law is a "shadow" of the substance we have in Christ (see Hebrews 8:5; 10:1). Many believe Hebrews was written by the devout Jew Paul who was a Pharisee who killed Christians before his divine, supernatural visitation wherein he saw and met the Lord leading to his conversion. Therefore for a full understanding as to "the spirit of the law" (rather than just the letter) read Paul's writings in Hebrews and 2Corinthians 3:6).

That being said, always seek to pull that which you read in the Old Testament through the cross of Christ, wherein you can crossover into the fullness of the blessing of the commandment.

The Levitical laws are good and well, but our "new and better covenant" in Christ is far greater while including, encompassing and surpassing the blessing of the old covenant for us (see Hebrews 8:6). We therefore in Christ are partakers of better promises and a more blessed covenant (which surely includes, encompasses and surpasses the promises in the old covenant).

For example, God said to Abraham: "I will bless them who bless you and curse them who curse you" (Genesis 12:1-3). Well "in Christ" (who is Abraham's seed and offspring being in his Jewish lineage) "we are Abraham's seed AND heirs to this blessed promise" (see Galatians 3:29). So whoever curses a child of God who is connected to Christ, they welcome the curse upon their life.

The same is true for they who bless us - they in turn will be blessed by God for blessing we who are in Christ.

The question arises: Why then did God go to the trouble to institute the law in the firstplace?

1. The law is spiritual, just, good and beneficial for us (Romans 7:14)

For example, you will live longer and stronger being blessed greater if you obey the 10 commandments (Exodus 20).

2. By the law is the knowledge of sin (Romans 3:20)

3. The Judaic law of works shows us our human frailty and inability to obediently follow God's commandments in our own strength (Romans 3:27)

4. The law therefore is a schoolmaster to humble our hearts so we realize we cannot live in self-sufficiency, but with humility call upon the Lord above to impart His Spirit within us, giving us a new heart inwardly to obey Him willingly (see Galatians 3:24; Ezekiel 36:25-27; Philippians 2:13)

5. Connecting us to Christ our Savior who lifts us up and out of the law of outward constraint to live in the Spirit and in love serve God and humanity, we live by the law of love and faith (Romans 3:27).

6. Because Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes (Romans 10:4). Therefore in Christ righteousness comes by faith in Him and His blood sacrifice on the cross for us (see Romans 1:17)

7. God's children therefore are saved and live by faith (Ephesians 2:8; Romans 1:17); God depositing in our hearts "the spirit of faith" to lead us to our personal promised land and divine inheritance (2Corinthians 4:13)

If you take time to meditate on each of these divine principles and Scriptures, the eyes of your heart will be further enlightened, awakened and opened so you can grasp the fullness of who YOU ARE "in Christ" so you can have perfect peace like a river in your heart and reign mightily in life! (see Romans 5:1-2,17)

The periphery of the Old Testament cannot match the immeasurable glory in Christ, even the glory IN YOU, Christ in you "the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:27). Truly in the Presence of the Lord is fullness of joy, unspeakable glory and pleasures forevermore! (Psalm 16:11; 1Peter 1:8).

The apostle Peter so personally experienced God's glory, while living under the shadow of God's hand that Peter's shadow healed the sick (Acts 5:15-16).

Isaiah the prophet experienced God's glory richly living, experiencing and feeling the hand of God on his life (Isaiah 49:2; 51:16). Isaiah had a supernatural and intimate encounter with God (Isaiah 6:1-8).

Even Jesus Himself during His earthly ministry sensed moments when the power of God and the Holy Spirit were greater and present to heal the sick (Luke 5:17)

Therefore beyond prayer as we take time to worship, exalt and love the Lord (not just in church, but everyday of our lives, everywhere we go, whatever we may be doing) we shall during our days experience the touch of God's mighty and loving hand (2Kings 3:15).

Surely the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 1:7). The fear of the Lord is to hate and shun evil (Proverbs 8:13). Truly God's commandments are not grievous, but for our protection and benefit.

We who love God gladly keep His commandments willingly and joyfully from the heart (John 15:9-15), after which Jesus calls you His friend and begins revealing His secrets to you. Yet as we lovingly pursue and go after our heavenly Father, His Spirit, power and glory clothe us (Acts 1:8; 5:32) to rule, reign and have dominion in this life! Herein is where newness of life is found and where the fun begins!!!

Herein does the blessing of the Lord run after us and overtake us! (Psalm 23) As we worship and love our Father in heaven, He gets happy and seeks us (John 4:24) desiring to bountifully bless us and provide our needs (Matthew 6:33).

Yet most seek the blessing and forget the Blesser, the heavenly Father, seeking His hand and neglecting Him and His heart. In so doing they miss the greater blessing of loving fellowship, friendship, intimacy with the Father, secrets of the Father and best of all the joy and glory of God clothing, covering and causing their lives to abound with favor and captivate humanity everywhere they go!

Now that you know these things, seek the heart of God and pertaining to the glory and rivers of the Holy Spirit - joyously enter the divine flow! (John 7:37-39)

Blessings and breakthroughs!

Thanksgiving and Christmas: Having Less, Possessing More

Thanksgiving has always been a special time for me since I was born early in the morning after Thanksgiving dinner. I guess my mom couldn't hold both me and her meal. :o)

Living in North America and the western hemisphere we have an abundance of things, modern neccesities, access to good medical care (well the majority of us, God help the rest without health insurance among which is me and my family... thank God for His benefits package within which is divine health and healing), education, freedom of speech & religious expression and government by the people and for the people (as obvious by our many vocal disagreements and ongoing debates... both of which strengthen our government, although they can be wearisome to watch and endure).

Yet with the "abudance of things" we have ...or continually pursue, we can easily lose track of the greater things: life, love, family, our divine purpose and legacy.

Upon seeing a gentleman at my local health club navigating through his gym locker with one arm, I immediately began to thank God for my arms and legs I so often take for granted... along with my health, eyes, ears and sensory abilities.

Jesus rightfully said, "Take heed and beware of covetousness: for a man's life does not consist in the abundance of things that he possesses." (Luke 12:15)

We must therefore guard our hearts, wherein is the true wellspring of life and inner values that make or break us daily.

You can check and easily examine your heart daily by monitoring the words that flow out of your mouth. Because "from the overflow of the heart, comes the words of the mouth" (Luke 6:45).

Thankfully God is the God of all grace and patiently waits while we mature and grow in grace. My world travels have revealed how much I and North Americans lack social grace.

Unfortunately in our modern era, the more we think ourselves to be mature, the more we regress in thought, word and deed being full of foul speaking and cursing. Herein is no blessing. On the contrary but releasing of cursing... even unto ourselves as we reap what we ourselves ignorantly, foolishly and arrogantly have sown and spewn out of our own mouths.

While some seek to wear less, lovers of God seek to be clothed with more... even the glory of God which is of far greater price than anything this world can offer. The rich Presence of Almighty God brings an intangible weight of glory, a divine difference that distinguishes us from everyone else in the world and causes us to manifest the favor of God everywhere we go. As we enter and remain humble, the divine river and flow will continue and great will be our joy, glory and marvelous ride in the waves of revival.

Meanwhile those without God continue to struggle and sink, drowning in their pride and own strength. Humility however is far easier and more fun! Get out of the flesh and live in the Spirit! It's a lot more fun if you will hear it.

Since God is love, we who know our Creator intimately and have experienced the touch of heaven upon our lives know the blessing of life assurance (beyond life insurance). That is we have a home in heaven and don't fret about a bodily promotion to another residence and destination. To state it more clearly, we don't fear death, but count it gain to get closer to Christ (and be stripped of the fleshly constraint that currently clothes us, so we can put on our glorified body and live in the Spirit without the limitations of the flesh).

Yet while in flesh and blood we can live purposefully on earth, lay hold of divine power via our relationship with God in Christ and be led by the inward abiding Holy Spirit into our personal promised land, wherein we can live for the honor and glory of God while simultaneously carving out for ourselves, our family and our community a lasting legacy for posterity to hereafter rejoice in.

Thinking generationally is not commonplace in a self-centered materialistic society. However it is ironically in Asian countries and that among multinational and mega-corporations who have endured for a century or more and have manifested true longevity and given birth to a legacy. Those who work for such global fortune 500 companies in Japan and the Orient feel a sense of security. Yet when economic turbulence in the global marketplace occurs, they too panick and begin to fret in their souls. Others hearts fail them for fear (or shame when success ceases). Not knowing life apart from their outward role at work and their societal status chiefly attached to their corporate career, some sadly leap from the very buildings in which they once worked and managed these conglomerates only to die in dishonor as they commit suicide... unwilling to endure the winter seasons of life in the valley, prefering to only remain on top.

Truly such are they who climbed the ladder of success only to wake up one day and realize their ladder was leaning upon the wrong building.

Being content in low places is also a key to success. For therein can we eliminate the crowds and test others motives who were only around for the glitter, glamour and gold. Times of loneliness enable us (if we will take time to listen to our spirit within) to reconnect with our Creator and thereby discover divine insight producing creativity to overcome anxiety and economic challenges, giving birth to faith and an inner resolve to bounce back with resurrection power to dismay and silence the skeptics.

They who call themselves Christians impress me the most when they endure grief, tragedy, immense suffering but keep going forward with wholehearted devotion after God and bounce back with resurrection power to transcend their troubles, rise to the occasion and show the world what they are made of. Herein is the power of the resurrection!

Cream always rises to the top! You can't keep a good man down. A good man may fall, but he always rises up again. Yet when the Spirit of Christ that rose Jesus from the dead dwells within you, there is always room for thanksgiving because He is the Lord of the breakthrough and is always engineering a new beginning for you.

Therefore this Thanksgiving remember your Creator is the one you need to turn to. Rather than groaning and moaning about the government, casting blame here and there, and making excuses for your outward circumstances... be heavenly minded and embrace the thoughts and plans of God for your life.

God has gold streets in heaven and never frets about economic turbulence. Neither should God's kids who truly and intimately know Him.

Nevertheless if some shaking of nations be the order of the day to bring souls to Christ, to loose them from their trust in riches and materialism, their worship of nationalism and patriotism, their false sense of security in self... so be it!

That being said, fall upon the Rock and be broken willingly rather than defiantly resisting your Creator only to have the hard rock of life's circumstances fall upon you and crush you to powder. For God would have your spirit to be saved more than your body to enjoy fleshly comforts in the present.

Your ego does not always need to be exalted. A bit of humility occasionally is good for the soul. Stop the boasting and be quick to hear others concerning their struggles. Show some compassion and lend a helping hand when you can.

God is more interested in your soul's redemption than your 401K, profitability, corporation and tax exemption. Therefore talk to your Creator today.

God wants to be your Friend and remove fear from your life.

Jesus didn't die in vain, but to be a bridge to bring you back to a loving Father in heaven who awaits your company.

Therefore kneel humbly sometime, somewhere today (perhaps in a bathroom for a moment between eating and watching a football game or catching up with family & friends... maybe at work while on a quick break) and ask God to forgive you of your sins. Thank Jesus for dying for you on the cross and rising victorious over death, hell and the grave so your sins cannnot hold you, but so you can experience spiritual breakthrough.

Listen to your heart above your head, as your inner intuition and emotional intelligence is far more wise than your mental faculties which often slow you down from supernatural spontaneity. Being merely cerebral will delay your destiny. Being spiritual and submitting your mind to the miraculous will remove time from the equation and speed up the fulfillment of your dreams and destiny!

The blessing is already purchased and ready for you! Far more than the turkey on the table, God in heaven has a banqueting table prepared with innumerable blessings, breakthroughs and glory to rewrite your life story.

Draw near to your heavenly Father today. Ask Jesus to come into your heart by the power of the Holy Spirit (that rose Him from the dead) and live in you in a big way!

Welcome the blessed Holy Spirit into your life to lead the way out of darkness and make all things new!

Reconnect with God, family, friends and yourself too!

Because beyond the natural mirror you attend to daily for your physical appearance, your Father in heaven knows every intimate and intricate detail about you. His Word and Spirit want to show you... along with the mysteries and miracles of heaven joyfully awaiting you. If you will only show yourself willing and obedient (Isaiah 1:19; Job 36:11) you can taste, experience and see for yourself that God above is good and greatly to be praised daily for His manifold blessings flowing to us.

Allow your heavenly Father to reveal, impart, empower and equip you for newness of life and breakthrough!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Be thankful everyday. No matter when or why you read this.

Your disappointment is God's invitation for a divine appointment and a reappointment with supernatural power to help you live in partnership to produce at a new level for a new season.

Merry Christmas! Christ minus the mess in you!

The mess is now being removed and separated, so Christ can break forth and make all things new in you!

Rejoice! Today is the day of salvation!

Paul F Davis (under the inspiration of the blessed Holy Spirit)

Suntrust Bank Overdraft Fees, Consumer Fraud & Class Action Lawsuits Threaten Its Viability as a Bank

I present evidence that banks resort to forgery to artificially create overdraft conditions that otherwise would not exist. The example presented here concerns SunTrust Bank. Googling SUNTRUST CLASS ACTIONS will yield 29,600 hits.

Googling SUNTRUST OVERDRAFT FEE yields 219,000 hits. I also provide the names and e-mail addresses of two law firms that either have filed a class action or are looking for victims to file another. Here is the email address for two law firms preparing a class action against SunTrust:

Suntrust Bank Stealing, Be Solid w Bank of America

I had bank accounts with SunTrust bank and Bank of America simultaneously. I got treated way better by Bank of America.

Suntrust cleverly charged excessive overdraft fees (even though when I set up the debit card they promised me and agreed per my request that when there were insufficient funds no debits would be allowed above and beyond what funds were in the account).

In an effort to protect consumers, Bank America recently agreed to stop the excessive overdraft fees on a national scale. Suntrust bank however likes to charge those overdraft fees - $35 a transaction when you buy gas, lunch, etc. rather than just a one time fee for several small transactions in a single day.

I was charged $170 by Suntrust bank while away on travel in New York. When I complained and reminded Suntrust bank of their original promise and agreement, they played dumb and referred to "policy" (that is the Suntrust bank stealing undisclosed policy ...to rip off consumers as much as possible and deceptively bill excessively via the overdraft fees).

Bank America courtesly refunded me for a similar situation a year prior. Not Suntrust Bank as serving themselves over their customers is the goal.

When I filed a complaint with the regulatory banking overseeing board at the Inspector General of the Federal Reserve on Suntrust after I paid their $170 in fees and deposited an additional $2,600 into my Suntrust account giving me a "solid" positive balance... Suntrust stealing bank got mad at me for calling the federal regulatory agencies in to look over their deceptive dealings and without forewarning on a Friday afternoon closed my account freezing my funds so my family and I could not use my money.

Suntrust bank is NOT solid, but given to stealing, deception and thievery. They don't care about customers. They care about themselves.

This saddens me because my deceased grandfather worked very hard for Suntrust (his third employer from which he retired ...after the U.S. Army and Lockheed Martin).

Yet with it's new management Suntrust bank has taken a steep decline.

Be forewarned all Delta frequent flyers thinking to get some additional free miles from the Suntrust bank card. Suntrust is bad news.

As for Delta - they are a great airline! Just beware of buying "flight insurance" through Delta's affiliate "Access America" as they are pretty clever scammers too not upholding their contracts in times of "medical emergencies" as they read and reinterpret their contracts to pay out as little as possible when it is time to cough up the cash (after taking all of the consumers' insurance premiums).

Nevertheless even Access America at least compensated over half what I was do, giving me $150 of the $230 I was owed.

Stealing Suntrust bank however scammed me out of $170 and closed my bank account with a positive balance freezing my funds and leaving my family without finances over the weekend.

Trust me, Suntrust is not to be trusted.

My grandfather was stationed in Germany, while serving in the U.S. Army and my grandmother bought these precious hummels and took exceptional care of them.

I am considering selling them, but prefer not to ship lest they be damaged.

Buyer must take and care for them (shipping on their own initiative if desirable). As I couldn't live with myself if I broke them.

Family Substance Abuse Prevention Speaker: Heal and Empower Families with Substance Abuse Prevention Speaker Paul F Davis Powerful Stories

Warm greetings from sunny Florida!

Thank you for taking the time to invest in prevention awareness for youth, parents and families in your city.

My video is attached and personal testimony detailed below.

Substance Abuse Prevention & Drunk Driving Detour Speaker
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQ3lBN...

I grew up the son of an alcoholic and drug addict mother, who graduated from high-school with honors. My mother was a high-school cheerleader and homecoming court participant. She also graduated from University with honors. Yet because of poor choices, inappropriate friends (primarily boyfriends); she began abusing substances and became an addict.

Ironically, my mother who was a frequent drunk driver and substance abuser herself... was killed by an 18 y/o drunk driver at the age of 49 on the streets of Orlando. Eight years later in July, 2008 I was hit by a 61 y/o drunk driver and nearly killed, she earning her second DUI on a revoked license and being imprisoned on the spot.

Thus I have been deeply victimized by drunk driving and substance abuse throughout my life. My half-brother tormented my step-mother and father for 10 years as a result of his continual problems with law enforcement and imprisonment due to substance abuse.

Today my younger brother has a breathalizer device on his car without which it won't start to drive. Thankfully my 31 year-old-brother now is trying hard to stop drinking and smoking.

As for me, I have never smoked and do not drink alcohol. Thankfully at a young age my father got me involved in sports: weight training, baseball, tennis, surfing and listening to motivational talks. As a former lifeguard, personal fitness trainer and nutritional consultant I cannot fathom putting harmful substances into my body. Alcohol kills brain cells, slows your metabolism (causing you to gain weight), dulls your senses and makes you sleepy. I alternatively prefer having maximum energy and life for peak performance.

As a life coach I empower youth body, mind and spirit to be their best, break limitations and live their dreams!

Overcoming Adversity - Be Empowered to Live Victoriously
http://www.youtube.com/watchv=kXLjy29...

My beloved grandfather, a retired U.S. Army Lt. Colonel died at 83 y/o due to an 11:30am fall at a local convenience store during which he was out secretly swigging on a small bottle of vodka. My maternal grandfather secretly had a drinking problem, which my mother (his daughter) later acquired ...a generational curse I have broken with God's help.

Yet when my grandfather fell as a result of old age balance issues combined with drinking, he hit his head so hard that after he was hospitalized (and thankfully I visited him that night at the ER and got to speak to him) during the late night hours he had a stroke. Following the stroke the next day (until the time he died two months later) my grandfather could not speak.

It was a tragic loss and way to go for he, my grandmother and myself. Pop-Pop lived such an honorable life serving God, country and his community.

Sadly substance abuse is very prevalent in the military. Even a dear cousin of mine, an Army Ranger and force recon officer has struggled putting down the bottle. Yet I believe often it is an emotional and internal problem, which we wrestle with and resort to substances to medicate and temporarily alleviate. However the reality is after the substance wears off, the unresolved problem(s) remain.

Yet I understand how easy it is to subtly be snared by using (and eventually abusing substances). Even I myself used injectable steroids and HgH (growth hormone) for a short while until realizing the foolishness of it and laying it down to pursue natural health inside and out.

Again alcohol and substance abuse is a horrible liability that continually subtracts from everyone's lives and deeply hurts and scars families.

Thankfully I have been able to turn my personal pain (from all of these experiences) into a powerful platform to persuade humanity, save lives and heal & empower families.

As a licensed minister with counseling know-how, I also am able to address mental health issues and empower people spiritually to overcome physical addictions.

I wish you the greatest success in speaking to and persuading your youth, parents and families to live powerfully and substance free.

Drunk Driving Prevention Speaker: Honolulu, Hawaii DUI Prevention, Wall of Shame

Honolulu, Hawaii police arrest more than 80 people a week for investigation of drunken driving.

Mug shots of drunken driving suspects are landing on the Honolulu Police Department's Web site, creating a virtual wall of shame long before suspects get their day in court.

Supporters agree the experiment in public humiliation to be launched Wednesday should be used elsewhere in the nation if it reduces the number of drunks on the road.

Critics counter the photo gallery is a heavy-handed tactic that threatens to violate constitutional rights and stain reputations without court convictions.

Yet if it saves lives and reduces drunk driving in Hawaii, I say let's take this practice nationwide and save lives!

Confusion, Stress & Struggle: Secrets for Your Breakthrough

We all find ourselves in seasons of transition periodically throughout life. During the holidays and end of the year is a wonderful time for reflection, personal investment and reconnecting with your passion and purpose.

If you neglect to do so, any time of the year is ideal to resurrect hope in your heart and take time to heal your weary body and rest your troubled mind. This is why God created a 7th day for mankind to rest, reflect and rejuvenate. Otherwise if you merely live in self-sufficiency you shall frustrate the grace of God, burnout and die prematurely... all the while living as a beast of burden and that miserably.

While walking through seasons of darkness and disillusionment, remember to keep God (Christ the light of the world), family and friends close so you life journey is more meaningful and not entirely empty and alone.

God in heaven is a Father and we His children a family. Therefore reconnect with your Creator and the family of faith to ignite your own faith.

Keep moving forward walking by faith and not by sight, remembering you are created in God's image and therefore possess (like God) creative ability to verbally speak your destiny into existence calling those things that are not as though they were (and thereby causing them to be as your faith attracts what you are believing for to you).

Nevertheless don't just fake the funk and only blab it to grab it (lest you be like many who still don't have it). In your patience possess your soul, realizing by faith and patience we inherit the promises of God and enter our personal promised land. Take personal ownership of God's Word and appropriate daily His promises for your life forging a friendship and partnership with your Creator that is unshakeable, unmoveable and unstoppable.

Pray and believe your prayers are in route to being answered and that what belongs to you shall come to you. Meanwhile put feet to your faith, knowing your heavenly Father loves you and wants to fulfill the desire of your heart when you love, worship, honor and daily serve Him and His purposes for your life.

Truly the best is yet to come when you take time to sit, meditate, rejuvenate, reconnect with your passion and purpose, strategically ponder the path of your feet and arise with newfound strength in God (along with the inward guidance of the Holy Spirit) to live your (and God honoring) dreams!
