I don’t know if the author of this piece has kids or not, so take this overview of the study results with a grain of salt. That said, my favorite part of this:
The study blames a “drop in well-being surrounding first birth,” also known as “unhappiness.“
So just to be clear: “Drop in well-being” also goes by the stage name Unhappiness.

In 15 minutes, our boys will be 1st graders… technically. Class doesn’t start in 15 minutes, we have a handful of hours until then. But just a couple of months ago they were kindergarteners.
This is the beautiful curse of parenthood: You want to celebrate your kid’s growth and achievements while you mourn each day that passes.
