If you are a reader, you must have read a book in your life that either changed the way you looked at things or shaped the person you are today. A Walk to Remember is one such book for me and that is the reason why after so many years of having read it, I decided to pick it up again.

Confess – Book Review

I had stumbled upon Colleen Hoover a few years back when one of her books topped the rankings on Goodreads. Ever since then, I am picking up her books one at a time and I have liked them all so far. My favorite so far has been It Ends with Us. I just love her writing style; so much that she has become one of my favorite Contemporary authors. Confess was suggested to me by a reader friend, but anyhow, I’m going to read all her books.

Every Breath – Book Review

I know that the writing style of Nicholas Sparks stays quite similar through all of his novels. He even adds his signature climax twists to most of his books. However, I still haven’t gotten over him, I may never will. This is the only reason I picked up Every Breath, his latest offering to the romance fiction readers. I don’t care how the cover looks, I don’t care what the plot is and in my heart, I know someone’s going to die and it’s going to be emotionally wrecking, but as far as I know,...

The Girl in Room 105 – Book Review

Why do I read Chetan Bhagat’s books? I like how he shaped up the paperback culture in India. A lot of teenagers began reading because of him. Apart from that, some of his books are a decent time killer on the lazy afternoons. With the same hope, I picked up The Girl in Room 105.

Publisher: Westland
Date Published: October 9th 2018

Genre: Thriller

Gerald’s Game – Book Review

I love reading Stephen King. In fact, he is the only author making me indulge with the Horror Genre. Gerald’s Game got me curious when I stumbled upon a Netflix adaptation of it. As always, I wanted to read before watching because books are definitely better than movies (most of the times). However, it was a big mistake!

Title: Gerald’s Game
Author: Stephen King
Publisher: Hodder & Stoughton
Date Published: July 7, 2011
Language: English
Number of Pages: 417

Yes, I’ve Forgotten…

Yes, I’ve forgotten… How your hand felt in mine,
How your lips curled up in a mesmerizing smile; The way I would cup your face in my hands,
The way I would hug you in a tight embrace; Why we could talk for endless hours,
Why we loved staring at the stars. Yes, I’ve forgotten… It’s the biggest lie I tell myself,
Everyday!

A Fading Smile Lingers

A fading smile lingers
As she’s moving away;
Step by step,
My heart at bay. On the surface are the promise,
Bruised, broken and shattered,
As she makes her way. In my vision blurred with tears,
I can no longer see her;
She’s so far away. And then I give up;
Maybe she can move on,
But I’ve decided to stay. A fading smile lingers
As I embrace our memories;
Maybe in the next life,
I close my eyes and pray.

The Perfect Us – Book Review

I was quite surprised with the announcement of The Perfect Us by Durjoy Datta because his last two books – The Boy Who Loved and The Boy with a Broken Heart were a part of the series that had to be concluded with a third book. Let me tell you that I haven’t read any of the previous books in Deb and Avantika series and this was my first. After reading this I can fairly say that anyone can read this as a standalone book too.

The Best of Me – Book Review

“You call yourself a fan and you haven’t yet read all of his books?” This is what I get to hear from people when I tell them that I am a Nicholas Sparks fan. Well after reading a handful of books by him and admiring him, I have learned that he has a peculiar style (actually that has changed after his divorce, evident in the more mature themes he now picks up) of writing. It also tends to get repetitive if you read his books back to back. However, if I read the books after some gap, I tend to...

September 6, 2018

We haven’t met ever but there’s a special bond we share; we’re best friends or maybe more….

I remember when I got my first job, it was so difficult to part with my friends from college/institute. It was a 6-day-working job and all I had was a Sunday to do every damn thing apart from office. For almost a year, we all met every Sunday with no failure except if someone was ill or had some authentic work (not some lame excuse). There was excitement, there was anticipation to all the fun we would have and all the thoughts we would share.

Life has changed since then and of course, there a...
