The Last Boy to Fall in Love – Book Review

The Last Boy to Fall in Love is my first book on Audible, which I listened to while commuting from Delhi to Chandigarh since reading was not possible on the bus. It is also my first audiobook and frankly, it took me some time to get familiar with the concept but I would not be talking about the merits and demerits of audiobooks here; let me focus on the review.

Wake Up, Life Is Calling – Book Review

Although I had read Wake Up, Life is Calling when it had arrived, I took a long time to actually review it on my blog. There are multiple reasons for that. Foremostly, I really loved reading Life is What You Make It and somehow, I was expecting this book to be a step ahead in Ankita’s life but it all narrowed down to the same things again, which was disappointing. Secondly, Preeti Shenoy claimed this book to be her best yet but that is not the truth. She has written much better books than thi...

If You Could See Me Now – Book Review

Among the books I have read of Cecelia Ahern, I have always loved the concept she pulls in. Especially, The Gift was had left me amazed back when I had read it. I have five unread books of Cecelia Ahern in my bookshelf and picking up If You Could See Me Now was a random decision (yeah, I did not know the plot), but I’m quite glad I picked it up because again, I loved the concept and the way she has presented it in this absolutely sweet and refreshing fiction.

Consider your Horror Cravings satisfied with Parchhayee Episode 7

I just finished watching the Parchhayee Episode 7 on ZEE5. The entire tv series (7 episodes have released so far) is based on the work of Ruskin Bond, a name that would be quite familiar and beloved among book readers, especially the thriller ones. The fact was unknown to me until I watched the episode. The title of the episode ‘Topaz’ caught my attention while I was browsing the streaming website because it was quite unusual for a Hindi show, but at that time I didn’t know that the horror fa...

Why We Love The Way We Do – Book Review

While I usually read all Preeti Shenoy books, this was left out primarily because it is non-fiction and I’m not really into those. However, I grabbed Why We Love The Way We Do at a good price deal on Amazon and when I had it on my shelf, I couldn’t help but read.

The Rule Breakers – Book Review

I have always enjoyed reading Preeti Shenoy and have been following her ever since I read Life is What You Make It. I would definitely mention that The Rule Breakers is the thickest book of hers and I was excited when I picked it up because a number of pages do not really matter because of her great storytelling skills. However, I was left disappointed by the time I finished reading the book. Also, finishing this book took longer than I had anticipated, which is quite new to me as far as Pree...

Top Indian Web Series based on Books

Mirzapur and Sacred Games dominated 2018 more than Bollywood releases. With stars like Saif Ali Khan, Emraan Hashmi, Pankaj Tripathi, Jackie Shroff, and Farhan Akhtar pivoting to web series, the reach of Over the Top platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime are bound to increase. 2019 has started on a good note for the Web Series industry, with the release of Amazon Prime’s “Made in Heaven”, the mood is already set and expectations are at an all-time high.

One good thing that has come out of t...

The Reason is You – Book Review

I’ve been following Nikita Singh since ‘If It’s Not Forever. It’s Not Love’. I’m a fan of course and she’s one of the few Indian authors I’m always excited to pick up. When I picked up The Reason is You, I had no idea that it was a sequel to ‘Like a Love Song’. So, if you plan to read this, I would suggest you go with the prequel to have a clear understanding of the characters.

Safe Haven – Book Review

I know that I have been reading too many Nicholas Sparks off lately (read the review of his latest book – Every Breath); I just couldn’t bear them lying on my shelf anymore. Well, I’m glad that I chose Safe Haven over others because it is a bit different from his usual style and I definitely liked the change.

Title: Safe Haven

Publisher: Sphere
Date Published: Dec 1st, 2012
