WINTER WALK.
At Preston Park.
The weather has been so cold lately, as you would expect, but we have been lucky enough to get many sunny days this year.
Yesterday Felix and I went to the park with the pugs, so I took the chance to get some photos, as well as many clips for a video, coming out later today!
My cold sore is still very visible on my bottom lip, so please don’t look too closely at the photo I posted. I got those Compeed patches which actually really helped a lot to cover it up, so I felt confident enough to go out for dinner and the cinema last night.
We watched ‘Wonder’, which was a lovely movie. Definitely recommend it!
Around Preston Park there are so many gorgeous red brick houses, which made this blue old van stand out; I found the contrast to be pretty.
Maya has been getting lots of use out of her new hoodie, she really likes it, as she sometimes doesn’t want to go out if it’s too cold, but she was very happy to walk with it yesterday.
The reason why I wanted to go to Preston Park is because I wanted to finally check out the Manor, which is supposed to be haunted and I had convinced Felix to go.
Well… it turns out that it’s closed this time of year, except for next Saturday, so even yesterday I didn’t manage to see its inside. But one day!!
Edgar also loves going to the park, as he gets to play around and get tired (which rarely happens). Yesterday we were using this squeaky ‘snow’ ball and I’m guessing Edgar may not have the best vision as he went after some seagulls thinking it was the ball. Haha.
It occurred to me that all I wanna do on free days is go on walks with Felix and the pugs, dine out and watch a movie, even better if friends are there too.
What is your favourite thing to do?
What’s your ideal day?

FELIX’S PHOTOS.
Something different.
Today’s blog post features Felix photos, as I asked him to go on a walk and photograph anything he liked.
I originally wanted a single photo that I could use for a ‘catch up’ kind of post, but after seeing his photos, I found them interesting to look at: what caught my attention was the colours and shapes he seems to be drawn to.
Today I’m battling was seems to be the biggest cold sore in history: it appeared yesterday morning, and right now I can barely speak because it is just. so. huge.
I really wanted to take this time, of me being home, to write about something… the problem was that I needed at least a photo to go with this post, which is why – after lunch – I saw Felix preparing the pugs for a walk, and put my camera around his neck, telling him to snap photos of whatever he wanted to. I didn’t request anything specific, which is why I somewhat expected him to simply take a photo of a flower, which would have been enough, but what I received back was (read in Felix’s tone) very nice!
I particularly liked this photo, I think the contrast makes it pretty, but the fact that you see the dirty glass barely lighting up and the sun glaring between the roof details, turns it into a gorgeous picture.
But that wasn’t all I liked: I noticed how he only really photographed highly saturated subjects. This isn’t the result of me boosting the colours: the sky was that blue; the roof was bright green; and this brick wall is hit by a yellow sun, making it look warm.
Anyway, everything is well (except for my massive bottom lip) and yesterday I’ve filmed a new video, which will be up tomorrow!
Quick note about my giveaway: 2 out of the 3 winners still have not claimed their prizes. Please look back at my blog post about it, if you entered, to check if you are the winner and get in contact (if no reply is received, I will need to pick new winners soon).
Who is excited for December?

TWO WEEKS LATER.
The reveal.
Two weeks ago, as you know, I had surgery to correct my deviated, tilted septum.
Here is how I look, and an update of my recovery. Oh, and course, my crazy pink hair!
It’s been a bit since I got the cast removed, but I’m not going to lie – it’s been quite difficult to feel like myself as when I look in the mirror, I don’t recognise how I look.
It may be a small change to others, but to me, the nose looks very different: don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely happy to see it so straight, for basically the first time in my life, but when it’s something so central, that you can’t help but see when looking at yourself, it’s a very surreal experience.
I may be the only person on this planet, but I truly prefer wider noses, so when the cast came off and my ‘squared’ nose looked so slim, it was a bit of a shock – I cannot seem to get used to it just yet.
After only two weeks it’s impossible to tell how the final result will look like, as it’s sore and swollen (even just washing my face hurts if I’m not gentle) but let me go through both health and cosmetics ups and downs.
HEALTH
The surgery I had was a septorhinoplasty; which means the most important aspect of it was to remove anything in the way and open up passages in order for me to breathe properly. Most of the work was done on the left nostril, and I can feel it as that side feels a lot more sore at the moment.
I have been able to breathe through both nostrils well enough, although with all the swelling and dissolvable stitches still in place, I don’t get plenty of air. I expect this to get better with time, and I’m simply glad both nostrils are getting air to begin with.
My only fear is that – as the previous time I went through this – as the nose heals it will start bending again, closing one of the nostrils. We can’t know just yet, but I’m really hoping that won’t happen.
I have been using saline spray to help with adding moisture back into the nostrils, because it feels so dry and tight in there, but overall my recovery has gone very smoothly – I barely even bruised (just some yellow under eyes and tip of the nose) which I’ve never seen before from any other people that shared their experiences.
COSMETIC
Because my septum was so tilted, we had to address it and bring it back to the centre, changing the overall look of the nose. I’ve also told my surgeon that he could do what made sense in order to give me a nose that would suit my face – I did not ask for a slimmer nose, and did not really expect to see one, so as I mentioned before, I am a bit sad to see my old shape gone.
Right now, the front looks slim, but my profile view is not great. The bridge of my nose is taller – and having a medium/tall nose to begin with, seeing it this big makes me feel self-concious, to be honest.
As soon as I saw that, I made sure to ask if he added any cartilage to it, but he said he didn’t, so my bridge should go back to my original size eventually.
I also still can’t fully move my top lip, so any time I speak or smile with my teeth showing, I look insane. I’m hoping this will resolve soon so I can get back into making videos!
Today – it being a Saturday – I wanted to get out of the house and do something fun.
Felix drove me and the pugs to Camber Sands, where we enjoyed a freezing yet sunny day by the sandy dunes.
We all love it there, it’s so calm and peaceful.
Edgar likes to hide.
So, even though I feel strange, I’m getting back to normal, happy that the worst part has passed, and now I just have to wait a year or so for the swelling to go down and hope no issues will come up.
So here you go, that’s it for my little reveal, I will of course see more of me soon anyway!
But, if you are only here because you were curious about my hair, I’ve used the dark pink box dye by Bleach London; I expected it to be more intense, and not pastel, which is why I applied it and kept it on for only 5 minutes (instead of the 30 minutes you are supposed to) and OOPS. But hey, at least it will fade into a softer pink with each wash.
Again, thank you all so much for the support during my surgery, it truly helped me get through it with a positive mindset and felt like I made the right choice!
Alright, that’s all for today! I hope you are having a fun weekend.

PR PACKAGES.
For November.
Here is a photo of migrating birds, because I didn’t have a collective image of all the products I’m going to open up.
This month has been a bit slow for me, as I’m recovering from surgery, but having new packages to unbox makes my days a bit more exciting.
Here is what I’ve received.
The package I was most looking forward to receive was from Bunny, as she collaborated with Bellami to create this amazing hair kit: Grav3yard Curl.
Any time Bunny releases something, you can tell how much of herself went into the finished product.
There is a wand that comes with interchangeable barrels; this up here is completely new to me, so I was curious to try it out.
I’m staying home this week, as I gain my strength back, so I didn’t want to put too much heat on my hair, but the wand gave me very natural, pretty waves, in a matter of minutes. That curly barrel actually creates super tight curls as well – if that’s the look you are going for – but as I mentioned I did a very quick session and brushed through my hair for a softer look.
The alligator design throughout the collection is a nice touch, but the oil slick metal is so cool.
The kit not only includes the wand with 3 barrels, the straightener and a hairdryer, but it also comes with some tools to help you create your looks.
These products are all so nice!
I was sent this ‘enhancer drop set’ by Cover FX. I was curious about it, because I wasn’t too sure as to what the product would look like….
But BAM!
Look at that glow. You can wear just a tiny bit on its own, as a highlight, or mix it into your foundation for an all over subtle glow.
These shades are Moonlight, Rose Gold, Celestial and Halo.
When I rubbed them all together my forearm looked all sparkly!
I’ve received a box of socks from a company called Damn Socks. In their letter, they mentioned the saw my new pink hair, and wanted to gift me some matching socks. Very sweet of them!
This one is my favourite pair, and honestly the quality is great – each pair is so comfy, slightly on the thick side and super soft on the inside.
A new magazine just launched, called One Aware; their very first issue is themed around impulses. It’s structured so that different people share personal stories that relate to a specific theme, in whatever form that could come as.
It’s a fairly minimalistic magazine, and I say it in a good way as I enjoy that approach.
This was an article about an artist, whose Instagram videos bring a sense of calm to the viewers. She says that she enjoys abstract art as ‘no two people see the exact same thing as they look at my pieces’. The images she creates are beautiful.
That’s just an example of one of the stories shared in the magazine, so if you are intrigued, you can find it here.
But now, we made it to a little giveaway section: 3 prizes, 3 winners!
Here I have some products by Tarte cosmetics. They sent me a ton of Holiday products, so if you would like a new eyeshadow palette with a set of brushes, add the word ‘GOLD‘ to your comment.
Soap & Glory sent me this holographic pouch with some of their best selling products. If you would like this prize, add the word ‘PINK‘ to your comment.
This final box has a face mask, as well as makeup from various brands. Use the word ‘YELLOW‘ in your comments, if you would like to receive this one.
Please do not spam and pick one; I will use a random generator tomorrow morning, November 21st, to pick the winners, which will then be posted on here (please come back to check) and I will contact them in the comment section.
Anyone can enter, this is open internationally.
Good Luck!

MY GO-TO PASTA.
My favourite pasta recipe.
I love pasta. I don’t think that will come as a shock to anyone.
For a very long time, my go-to pasta dish used to be penne with tomato passata and shallots, but in the past year, a new recipe has taken that spot: orecchiette with zucchini and pesto.
This combination is perfection, so allow me to show you how I prepare it.
First of all, you are going to need a good pesto. Regular pesto is not okay for me, as unfortunately it’s not vegetarian, but you do find some great alternatives in the market for vegan pestos. One in particular is extremely tasty, but comes in the smallest jar and the price tag is quite high.
Because I have been eating this dish so frequently, it seemed convenient to make my own pesto from scratch: I have a basil plant in the kitchen, and you really don’t need many other ingredients (olive oil, pine nuts, salt and garlic — note: sometimes, if I feel fancy, I may mix in some other nuts as well and make it a bit crunchier, but this time I’ve kept it simple).
A month or so ago I bought a Nutribullet, which is an incredibly convenient blender. I’ve been using it a lot ever since, so I definitely recommend it!
I take one of the cups, and fill it with a bit of all the ingredients: depending on how creamy or crunchy you want the pesto sauce to be, you can work out your measurements. You can totally have fun with this, and make your own version.
The key step here is to simply mix and blend everything together.
I would suggest to start with less ingredients and keep adding as you go, so you get the preferred consistency.
Then pour your pesto into a jar, and use it throughout the week.
For this particular dish, the pasta that I find works best is this one up here.
While I wait for the water to boil, I chop up a zucchini.
I first cook it on its own, with just a bit of salt, pepper and oil; when they are almost done, I pour in the pesto so they get covered and the pesto itself gets warm.
To serve, I just sprinkle some pine nuts and extra black pepper.
I tend to like simple flavours, so for some it may be too bland, but if that’s the case, what I do for Felix, for example, is that I mix into the pesto some spicy sauce. Again, it’s really up to you to play around with the flavour.
I’ve came across this type of recipe on a restaurant here in Brighton called ‘Ask Italian’; they used to offer a pretty similar dish but unfortunately they removed it from the menu a few months ago. That broke my heart, but at least it pushed me to make it for myself!
Let me know if you try it out, and I hope you will like it.

NIGHTWEAR.
By Lazy Oaf.
You guys know how much I love Lazy Oaf, and not only the founder has recently launched a new brand – G.E.M. – but there is a lingerie and nightwear line releasing soon.
I was contacted and asked to pick some pieces, and here I am, showing you what I selected for myself!
The line has some accessories, like this giant ‘weirdo’ pillow, sleeping masks, and a keychain.
They also have 3 different PJ sets, if I remember correctly.
I got this adorable slip dress, which is so incredibly cute and frilly.
As well as the short PJ set, which has this bear design a sweet colour palette.
The final thing I got is this comfy bra + underwear set; look at how cute even just the labels are!
With Lazy Oaf, each product feels good, looks great, and comes packaged in the best way possible – the attention to detail and the design of each garment is incredible, which is why this is one of the brands I always look up to when doing my own designs, and I’m extremely grateful that they sent me these gifts.
This is not an ad, I’m not paid to write this and wasn’t asked to; I wanted to show some photos of these new products as they are all so pretty, as well as to thank Lazy Oaf for sending them over.
You will be able to grab any of these dreamy pieces soon, on their website!
On a different note, I just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to everybody that left a comment on my previous post. I’m still recovering, and reading your messages helped me feel positive about this. It’s going really well so far, only yesterday it was a bit rough, but today I’m feeling pretty well, which is why I’m able to start writing blog posts again.
More to come soon!

REVISION SURGERY.
My story.
3 Years ago I had a septoplasty to help with my breathing. At the time I couldn’t keep going with spending miserable nights getting barely any sleep, so I did my first surgery.
Quickly after, 6 months later, both my surgeon and I knew it was not very successful, and was told we could do another one right away, but the fear of reliving the surgery was too much… until yesterday.
Here is my journey; from explaining the first surgery, to comparing it to my revision surgery, and everything in between.
Alright, let’s rewind a few years back. In the late spring of 2014 I reached out to a surgeon. The way I selected her, was simply from the fact that she was a female. At the time my fear of doctors was too high, so having a woman made me feel a bit more at ease. She didn’t specialise in my type of surgery – which looking back, really should have been a red flag – but she was nice enough, and told me she could help me.
How my ‘original’ nose looked like. Fairly slim, but you can see the bended septum.
Before the surgery, these were the problems with my nose:
Right nostril fully blocked. I simply did not breathe from this at all;
Left nostril would close when sleeping. This would happen because, since one of them wasn’t working, I could only sleep in one specific position that allowed the other one to get air through, but eventually, during the night, I would move around causing the nostril to close up near the septum, blocking off any air.
My mom believes that my nose was deviated after an accident I had when I was 8 years old. I used to roller skate, and I fell on my face, causing my teeth to be pushed out, a scar under my chin, and possibly, my nose to develop crooked.
These were my issues. For that surgery I requested for my nose to look the same; I knew that she may have needed to make adjustments in order to allow air to pass through my nostrils correctly, but I definitely wanted as much of a natural result as possible.
So in mid September I went in at 11am, and by 12 I was under anaesthesia.
I woke up at 5pm that evening, meaning that my surgery went on much longer than it’s supposed to: a septoplasty usually takes 1h 30 minutes. I woke up, didn’t feel sick, just dizzy, and was kept in over the night.
I did not manage to sleep at all, as my nose had been packed with two giant tampons, so I would feel the blood at the back moving around. I also remember that any time I was close to sleeping, my breathing would stop, and the machine I was attached to would beep to let the nurses know I was not okay. So I gave up, and waited till the morning after, which is when I saw my surgeon. She didn’t say much, as she came mainly to remove my packings.
Now, this was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced in my life. Seriously.
But after that, I was allowed to change and go home.
Two weeks after surgery.
Cut to around 10 days later, I got the cast removed and my nose cleaned. I was actually very happy at first, cause my nostrils looked very open and I could breathe trough them well, even considering all the swelling. My nose was a lot larger as my nose bridge was made wider during the surgery, which I honestly didn’t mind. My nose still pointed to the left, but I could breathe – that’s what mattered.
Every few months, as the nose is healing (it takes about 1 year in total) I would do my check ups, and as the months went by, the breathing diminished. I kept hoping that eventually it would settle, but after 6 months I was told the left nostril was too close to my septum, and would need a revision surgery. The hospital informed me they would do it for free, but I could only wait a year maximum to do it.
After 6 months.
I remember discussing this with family and friends, and logically it made sense to do it, but I had just gone through one, and really wasn’t ready to face another.
I was also doing my invisalign treatment, which was not the most pleasant as your teeth are in constant discomfort, and would have needed to stop for a few months, if I decided to go ahead with another surgery.
It did not feel like the right time.
I thought to myself that at least now I had the right nostril functioning correctly, so that was something. And I could wait it out. If I ever was ready, I could do it in a second moment. I did not want to rush.
Now let’s jump to this year, 2017.
The idea of the surgery was on my mind, but I never felt like I could actually do another one. Some of the reasons where:
My stomach issues;
Intense fear of vomiting (after surgery it’s common to be sick and did not want to take that chance);
Acne, as I stopped taking the pill, causing my acne to come back (if it’s too bad, the surgeon can refuse to do the surgery);
Did not want to have to go trough the pain of the gauze packing removal;
Wasn’t excited overall about having a huge nose for many months after surgery.
A few months ago, I was recommended this one surgeon, that focuses on breathing problems, and reached out. At this point I was very unsure about wanting to do it or not, but a few people suggested that I should at least meet with him and hear what could be done. So I booked an appointment, and let me tell you, he was so kind and confident that I felt very at ease, and for the first time in many years I felt like I could actually go through with it, one more time.
I’ve met up with him a few more times after, talked about the nose and did a small visit to check on the state of it (since it had been worked on before there is scar tissue and less cartilage available) and felt so great about him being my surgeon that I decided to book this surgery. He is seriously the nicest, and you can tell he knows what he is doing. If I was ever going to do this, I knew I wanted him to be the one.
I’ve tried recreating a sketch he made me to visualise the inside of my nose. I don’t have enough energy to get my tablet out, so excuse the awful mouse drawing; it should still give you an idea of how my septum is bent, which parts of it, and how my nostril is closed.
He did say that it will be a bigger surgery, and would take me longer to recover, and he – not being the original surgeon – will have to see, once the nose is opened up, what he is working with. He said he will probably remove the previous grafts that were placed, and he said “in order to fix a crooked wall, you would take it apart and rebuild a straight one, so that’s what I’m going to do with your septum”. This sounds pretty scary, but he said it wouldn’t make a difference for me, as I would be asleep and the tricky part is up to him.
The bone in my nose is straight, so luckily that didn’t need to be touched, but the bottom 2/3 of my nose have an important bend, which causes my left nostril to attach to the septum (as I was aware of) resulting in poor air flow – when I say attach, by the way, I mean that I physically have to detach it by sticking a finger into my nostril and push it outwards.
Because the first time I was so caught up on the fact that it had to look as similar as possible to my nose, and was let down, ending up with a fairly different nose – somehow – this time I told him to do whatever he felt like was needed and would fit my face well, making this surgery a septorhinoplasty, so I’m expecting my nose to look different, but I don’t really know how it will look like. The last time I saw him, I told him I fully trust him with everything, so as long as I get a decent looking nose that works well, I will be happy.
I think in America they give you photoshopped images to show you what the result will be like, but in the UK, both times I did this, I was not shown options, so you just have to believe in your surgeon’s skills.
Anyway, going back to my concerns: by now, my stomach is stable enough (I can eat properly and rarely feel sick), and my acne is reduced to 10% of what it used to be. I’ve been following this skin regimen since summer time, and stuck with it as I had noticed it was clearing my skin up. None of the products I use are targeted to acne prone skin, they are all quite gentle, so later on I’m pretty sure I will share it with you guys as it’s working so well for me.
My other fears were still present, but I could finally put them aside, thinking that it would be worth suffering a bit to finally get a decent result.
Today is first day after surgery.
Yesterday, the 10th of November, I woke up at 5.45 am, showered, made my way to the hospital, and by 7am I was checked in. I expected to go in soon after, but unfortunately I was told I wasn’t the first patient of the day, so I had to wait.
In the meantime, I’ve met with my surgeon one last time, the anesthesiologist (to whom I told to please give me all the medicines he could, as i’d terribly afraid of throwing up), and all the nurses.
At 9.30 I went under.
At 1.10pm I woke up, my body in shock, shaking uncontrollably, exactly like it did after my first surgery, but managed to calm down within 10 minutes. I was kept in observation till 2pm and then moved to my room, where I saw Felix.
I didn’t feel any nausea, thankfully, just dizziness.
I had no inside packings, and when the surgeon came in he said he was happy. He did say it was quite a lot of work, but he did everything he could, and if this doesn’t give me a straight nose, no other surgery can.
I did take a look under my nose to try and see if it still points toward the left, and it does a bit, but it’s so hard to tell so soon so I’m staying positive.
At 5pm I was able to eat a full sandwich, crackers and cookies. I was walking around and feeling overall really well. I was told that I could leave the hospital, so I changed, but when they removed the IV from my wrist, my vein got like – 5 times bigger – so the nurse pressed it and it really hurt. Stupidly, I was standing up while she did it, and caused me to go grey and almost faint.
My blood pressure was very low, everything was blurred and the sound was muffled, so they kept me in two extra hours. I felt bad cause I knew Felix just wanted to go home, but I also knew it was for the best.
At 8.30pm I arrived home with a bag of medicines to take.
I was given ibuprofen for the pain, although I can only take half the dose of a regular person because of my stomach; in fact, I have chronic gastritis, not sure I’ve ever mentioned it, but that causes me to feel sick easily and not being able to digest much, so I don’t wanna upset it by taking too many medications.
I was also given antibiotics so that I don’t catch a bug, and stronger pain killers only to be taken if the pain is very strong.
I was then given 3 more products: a nose cream, to put directly into the nostrils, as well as a nose spray, and a gauze for night time, so it can catch any bleeding while I sleep.
I woke up today with no bruising just yet, which is great! I have been taking arnica pills to help, and I’m going to start using ice packs to contain the swelling.
So, overall, everything went/is going really well, I’m happy. Sure, I feel miserable, but the worst bit has passed. Now I have to rest and care for my nose for 10 days before I get my cast and stitches removed.
At first I thought I would do a blog post about it after I was healed, going through all the recovery process, but I had so many details to share already that I didn’t wanna risk forgetting any. Before doing my surgery I spent hours reading similar blog posts, and finding them very helpful, so I’m hoping if anyone has to go through this, may find some comfort to know that the surgery itself wasn’t so terrible this time, but you have to be aware that it may not be successful as well.
I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous to share this much information with the internet – people are quick to judge, and even though you marzipans were super supportive of my first surgery, I’m afraid I will get attacked by some over having to do a second one. In all fairness, another main reason why I waited so long is because I felt like I would have needed to explain myself to the internet, if I ever did do another surgery, but when I came to terms with it, living with a blocked nose that I’m not happy with for my entire life, just because I could come across some rude people, didn’t seem worth it.
My family and closest friends know about it, and they are all being so lovely, so hopefully I can get the same understanding from you on here.
That is all I wanted to touch on today, I will be sure to give you more updates as the days pass, but not to worry – it won’t be all you read on my blog, I’ve planned out different blog posts, so there will be a good variety of things coming up!
If you made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read.
Marzia

BYE BYE, OCTOBER.
It was a busy final week.
I haven’t been able to write as much as I would have liked to, but here I am, catching you up!
Just a few days after my birthday, it’s Felix birthday, as well as the pugs’ birthday. Coincidence? No, not really.
When we got Maya, the owner didn’t know her date of birth, so Felix decided that we should celebrate her birthday on the same day. Then Edgar came along, and the same thing happened.
So Felix is now 28, Maya is 12, and Edgar is 7.
My ‘home line’ came out, I’m so happy with how everything turned out: all of my sketches came to life so well! I had been working on this line for a very long time; finding the right people took months, but I’m glad I didn’t rush it.
If you like anything, you can find it here.
Then Halloween arrived. This year we kept it pretty low key, but it was nice that way as both Felix and I were more than happy to spend a relaxed evening with friends. We still dressed up, which was fun, and watched a horror movie.
We let Felix pick the movie… he chose Rumpelstiltskin. Ehm. Not the best. Haha.
On the 1st, Jack and Signe invited us to check out the fireworks. It was freezing outside, but the show was very pretty, and there was a fun fair as well, and great food stands!
That brings us to yesterday, which is when I went to the hairdresser to get my hair pink, as well as attended the opening of the ice rink at the Royal Pavilion.
I got an invite long ago, so I asked PJ and Sophie and Jack and Signe if they wanted to join. They were all up for it!
If you have watched my vlog from last year, you know that I attempted to ice skate for the first time and I was terrified. I was still very scared yesterday, but the ice rink was less busy and all my friends were super supportive, so I felt more and more confident and had a great time! Still pretty afraid, but I’m pretty happy with the little improvement I made.
It was a great start of the month!
What did you guys do for Halloween?

WANDERLUST + CO.
New accessories.

It’s pretty clear that – when it comes to jewellery – I like gold, and astronomy/space inspired designs are right up my alley.
My fine jewellery line ‘Luna e Stella’ closed the orders just a few days ago, and as I was browsing IG photos, an ad for this company called Wanderlust + Co popped up. I was very interested, so I clicked on it, and actually ended up purchasing a few things!

I’m not sponsored by this brand, I simply found it and was curious to order a few pieces from there. I believe this is an American company, but somehow the parcel got to me just a few days later (which is very quick) with no custom charges. I’m wondering if they have a UK warehouse, but I didn’t check the address this came from.

When I opened it up, yesterday, I was pleased by how well everything was packaged.

These earrings are so pretty; a bit big – but pretty.
I like the hoop – even tho I generally go with a small/medium size – and the moon with the star charms. I think these would look great on a night out.
When I picked these up, they felt a bit plastic-y, but they have that wow effect regardless.

I also bought 3 necklaces, two of which I’m wearing in this photo, layered.
I bought the moon phases chocker, and this longer moon necklace; this second piece is stunning, whilst the chocker almost has a bohemian vibe to it.

And so the final two pieces are another necklace, this one with star details and a bar – very gorgeous as well – and the one item that was originally advertised to me: the libra ring.
In fact, they have rings with every zodiac sign. Such a cool idea! They are adjustable as well, which makes it convenient.
If you take a closer look at the two rings I’m wearing, you can easily tell how much more yellow fake gold is, compared to actual gold, but I think all of these designs are incredible, and all reasonably priced.

I also like the fact that you can use the box they come in to store your accessories.
Have you ever heard of this brand? I wanted to share it with you cause I really liked their aesthetic and thought some of you may enjoy it as well.

25.
Another year, another birthday party!
Yesterday was my birthday, which happened to fall on a Saturday, giving me the perfect chance to spend the weekend away.
I rented an airbnb, invited some friends, and celebrated my 25th birthday!
Felix and I arrived in this lovely converted property on Friday night, so that on the 21st, we would be there before the guests, to have the time to decorate the place.
Felix made me pancakes and gave me a little gift with the sweetest card.

The weather has been insane for the entire day: sunny, then windy, then pouring rain. On repeat. But I did spot a rainbow, which was cool.
I set everything up in the afternoon. People started arriving at 5pm, and we planned to spend the night in the house all together.
It was a very chilly day, so we made a cosy fire.

Having a pre-party moment with Maya.

We spent the evening playing board games and watching a horror. Dan and Phil gifted us their board game ‘Truth Bombs‘, which is incredibly funny! We played the OG version of this years ago at PJ’s house, actually. So cool to see this turned into a board game!!

Felix managed to get me a birthday cake made- it was pretty last minute – and it tasted great. It was massive.

It was so much fun having all these amazing people under the same roof for a night, and the fact that they were willing to come all the way to Rye (1.5/2 hours away) made me feel special and extremely grateful.
It was a wonderful birthday.
Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes!
