The Hill: Franken, Wyden to SEC: Allow AT&T, Verizon, Comcast shareholders to vote on net neutrality
Democratic Sens. Al Franken (Minn.) and Ron Wyden (Ore.) wrote Wednesday to the Securities and Exchange Commission to say net neutrality is a significant public policy issue, despite a recent SEC finding to the contrary.

Detroit News: Sen. Franken to address Jefferson-Jackson Dinner at Cobo
Lansing— Democratic Sen. Al Franken of Minnesota will be the keynote speaker at this year's Jefferson-Jackson Dinner, the Michigan Democratic Party announced today.
The fundraiser will be April 16 at Cobo Center in Detroit.

Worthington Daily Globe: Editorial: Show Lewis & Clark the money
In a Thursday telephone conversation with the Daily Globe, Sen. Al Franken made it clear he's going to do all he can to ensure the Lewis & Clark Rural Water Project gets the funding it needs to continue moving forward.
The project, which would bring much-needed water from the Missouri River to the tri-state region, was authorized by Congress a decade ago. Franken said that if the project continued to receive $10 million in annual federal funding, it would be done — finally — by 2048. (Franken he said he has asked for $35-million-a-year funding; that would fast-forward the completion to 2018.)

Faribault Daily News: Faribault shows Vision for future
On Saturday, the Faribault Economic Development Authority will do what communities all across Minnesota should be doing: it will explore how to bring the businesses of the future — and well-paying jobs — to Faribault and the surrounding region.
With the help of the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation, the EDA is gathering input from local residents about the best way to bring biobusiness jobs to the area.
