KARE 11: MN lawmakers front and center in Libya debate
Two Minnesota lawmakers were front and center in the debate over U.S. military involvement in the Libyan crisis. Senator Al Franken, (D-Minnesota), is proposing a bill that would require that wars be financed as they go, rather than add to the national debt. Representative Michele Bachmann, (R-Minnesota), opposed President Obama's strategy on NBC's Today Show on Wednesday.

New York Times: Live-Blogging a Senate Briefing on Nuclear Safety
After the tsunami knocked out power at the Fukushima Daiichi plant, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission said that American reactors had batteries that would last for four or eight hours. David Lochbaum, director of the Nuclear Power Project at the Union of Concerned Scientists, told the committee that this was true, sort of. Only 11 of the American reactors have eight-hour batteries, and 93 have four-hour batteries, he said.
