End of Days

No, no, nothing apocalyptic, just the end of the EPL's Writing My Story Workshop.

What a great class & sense of unity/community. We had such a diverse group—from people writing about music to those writing their memoirs, but the support and encouragement given from one to another made the class one of my weekly highlights.

Reviews by Molly Gives Grime 5 Stars

"In this fun, laugh-out-loud, story readers young and old alike will have fun getting to know the True Grime gang. They take you on a roller coaster of ups and downs, blending the perfect amount of mystery with laughs, and creating a fantastic story of good verses evil."

Live to Read Gives Grime 4 Stars

"The characters overall were fun to get to know. [Pepper] was a different kind of character-inquisitive, intelligent, and idealistic...this book was fast-paced and interesting."

Happy Anniversary to the Top Shelf!

Hey all, I'm thrilled to have a fantastic reviewer to my blog. If you're a reader or writer, The Top Shelf is worth visiting! Please welcome Misty today:

What got you into blogging, and specifically, book reviews?

You know how they say everything happens for a reason? Well before I was a book reviewer, I was a college student getting my degree in English Lit after I had failed Calculus and that kinda killed my hopes of being a Computer Science major. At the same time, I was getting into the...

NaNoWriMo Tips for Success

I reached my 50k goal on November 21, and was asked about my tips for productivity:
Realizing that writing 1667 words/day takes time, I got up earlier.I set a daily reward for myself, so I had a short-term gain for writing.I plotted--when writing on the clock, there just wasn't time (for me) to pants it.Writing in the dark--low light levels really seemed to help.Having a network. I got a bunch of friends together and we just kept each other accountable.

Every Day is an Adventure Loves Grime

"I loved the idea of characters entering the human world on a mission...and I always appreciate a storyline that tests the characters ability to "mesh" with the human experience. Pepper's experiences in particular were hilarious and entertaining...I highly recommend this fantasy adventure to my blog readers - you won't be disappointed. Additionally, as a middle-school teacher I can see my students really enjoying this read too. This is something that they would really get into!
