Why I Love Edmonton

Teaching at the EPL last week & got downtown, only to find they'd blocked off the entrance to the parkade & I had to use the Citadel entrance…fine. Good…except they'd also blocked off certain doors exiting the parkade and I spent a frustrating (and slightly freaked out) five minutes looking for the exit.

Phoned the city and left a message saying that while I understood the need to renovate, etc., perhaps—for all the women out there who don't particularly care to be trapped in an underground ...

And It Begins

Met my daily NaNo goal at 1781…my secret to success today: getting up at 3:30 (in case I needed extra time today to meet my goal) and having chocolate for breakfast (note to any of my under-18 readers: Don't do that. Chocolate for breakfast is just craziness…yummy, gooey, milk—uh, wait, I'm trying to tell you NOT to do that, right?)…

Walking out of the store, when I realize they've overcharged me 50% for an item. Go to teenage salesperson and explain situation, to which she replies, "Um, okay. So, you want the money back, right?"

More Reviews for Grime!

Rhodes Review:This book was a humorous blend of both fantasy and mystery…[it] kept me compelled…If you get the chance, pick up this book, I think you'll love every minute of it. I did.

Practical Frugality: I do recommend it for everyone, obviously those who enjoy the fantasy genre will like it, but it wasn't soooo far out there than non-fantasy readers won't like it as well. If you enjoy mystery/crime stories, then you'll want to add this to your reading list as well.

5 Stars for Grime from Gelati's Scoop:

Her plotline is unique, the narrative right on the mark, and the prose is just too much. If you have not yet had the chance to read one of her stories, please take the time and get one; the return in smiles is worth it.

Ashley's Bookshelf Gives Grime 5 Stars!

I loved Pepper! She is a strong, no nonsense type of girl and very caring at the same time. The fact that they had to integrate into a human high school made a lot of human problems come into a different light. It is a great and original story!

See here for the full review.
