Oh Boi

Set my printer up on the network & feeling smugly-techie. Print off document. Spike of Supreme-Smugness.  Try to print off web page. No luck. Try again. Still nothing. Call tech support. First question: "Did you choose the right printer?"  About to say, "Of course I did. What kind of a dork do you take me for—" then realize while the printer selected is correct, the port (USB) is not.

Suddenly not so smug.

New Release–Feuding Hearts

Buy it from The Wild Rose Press

Angel Baxter's move from Georgia to Miami was intended to bring peace and calm, but for the past three months, she's been reluctant mediator to her nana and their eighty-five year-old neighbor. Between ripped up azalea bushes, wrecked bird baths, and her grandmother prancing across the lawn like a deranged pixie, Angel's nerves are frayed. She's got more problems than a three-legged cat in a dog pound.

Unexpected help shows up in the sexiest form: Harry...

The Price of History

It's President's Day in America and with it, comes the requisite commercials with Abe Lincoln extolling the virtues of pillow tops and 50% off sales..and as much as I enjoy the capitalist system, I can't help but feel really  uncomfortable when I see these ads.

Abe Lincoln was a fighter. He ran and lost more elections than I care to imagine, and still, he persevered and became one of the most beloved president's in history. He was plain-spoken with a self-effacing, wry sense of humor (when a...

Totally Unhelpful

This is why dictionaries annoy me: Looking up "evanescence" and got this:

Definition of EVANESCENCE

1: the process or fact of evanescing

2: evanescent quality

Thanks for nothing, Merriam Webster
