Now That's a Cure

Was tooling around on the internet (in a concentrated effort to avoid work) and came across this solution for cataracts: taking a few drops of urine from a 1-3 month-old-breast-milk-fed baby, and rubbing it on your eyes.

And secondly, I want to know who was the genius that decided to try that as a cure?

Today is the first day back at work and though I've managed to get some work done, the month away from writing has—without a doubt—atrophied my writing brain. No word of a lie, I've spent more hours (3 to be exact) avoiding work than actually working.

So shameful.

I know it's about just getting the words on the page and doing right brain stuff, but my right brain is wondering why we aren't watching Columbo and promising me if I did just one more episode, it would get back to work, honest.

Happy New Year!

Day one of 2012 is almost over. Hope everyone had a great holiday—I had loads of fun. Days of doing nothing (which is making tomorrow and going back to work feel like having to go to the gym).

Creepy or Christmas-y? You Decide

Saw the video for Justin Bieber & Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas" and I'm going to go with "Creepy" for the following reasons:

1) You're singing "all I want for Christmas is you" but you're in a mall and tossing gifts around—conflict of word & actions, anyone?

2) Ditto with the crazy people banging on the glass to get in and shop. The song's about how you don't need anything for Christmas but the people you love—why are we seeing nothing but products and shopping?

3) There's so m...
