May 16th, big humongous Friday and it's coooooling down, finally -- the suin is still bright, but the breeze is on the nippy a.m. side -- wonderful.

BIG GIFT TO YOU: Georgia Bockoven has a new book out RIGHT NOW titled RETURN TO THE BEACH HOUSE. If you haven't yet read Bockoven, do try this one -- she's a wonderful writer and the book is amazing -- and do let her know what you think, okay?

Don't forget to read the May Newsletter -- if you don't get it, holler and I'll send you a copy and get you enrolled --

Today, work, gym, and getting all hyped up for Godzilla tomorrow -- Oh wow -- what a treat this is going to be. But you know, I don't believe Godzilla really water skis, does he?

May 15, 2014

Thursday, May 15th -- Will it get cooler today? Interested ears want to hear -- big bright sun shining right into my eyes, acting like yeah, I'm here and I'm going to roast your toes today -- we'll see what happens.

So Hump Day was good, my whining wasn't justified (who watches that series?) -- got some work done, BIG YEA -- This is Second Sight (FBI for next summer) and Sherlock is on Long Island interviewing a terrorist (the one she brought down at JFK) and goodness, does it every get wild. I was wheezing at one point it was so tense, scary. Do you believe me? Alas, it's true --

Today, more work, more shudders with the book (hopefully) All of you, do what you can if you're sweltering. If you've got okay weather, then get out there and walk, run, dance, zumba -- you get the idea.

May 14, 2014

Wednesday, the 14th of May -- Another day of boiling in the spaghetti pot then, hopefully, the temps are on their way down again towards normal for us here 50 feet from the Bay -- well, maybe 100 feet, hard to tell, we're up on the hillside. Do you know, if I stand right in front of my bedroom window it's like being on a ship? Very cool.

Tons of stuff to do today, stuff that's gotta get done, something I really don't like because I won't get to do hardly any writing on Second Sight. Actually, none at all. I'm nearly forgetting what's going on in the book which means I'll have to reread the whole thing when I start up again. Okay, I'll stop whining.

May 13, 2014

HOT Tuesday, the 13th of May -- Yep, going to be in the 90s today, HERE, in Sausalito -- Do you know how bizarre that is? And this is what, the 3rd time so far this year? Although with the warm weather the gardens look amazing. I'll post a couple of photos --

Today more reading gallies of THE FINAL CUT, paperback. Outline for Second Sight, the FBI for next summer -- imagine, 2015 -- shouldn't there be a law to stop time at some point?

Who's watching Cosmos?

Today, since it's so hot here, I'm just going to do 40 minutes cardio, but for you, in gorgeous weather, maybe snow, like in Colorado, you've got to pick up my slack. So, hit the machines (if you have them available) and work arms, shoulders, lats -- get strong, okay? Who can do a pull up? How many?

May 8, 2014

Thursday, 8th May -- off in a half hour for SFO and Long Beach -- a lovely mini-vacation (Plus the extra is seeing Kiwan compete in the Nationals -- everyone keep your digits crossed that he comes in the top 6)
Thank you for all your suggestions for what to see in the Long Beach, CA area -- for sure the aquarium and the Queen Mary -- the rest, we'll see.
It's a great day to get on your bike or your vespa (but only if you're staying close, no highway, too dangerous, talk about splatting road kill -- don't let that be you) -- the bike will work those legs, the Vespa will let you see nature and get your hair whipped around your head and your eyes tear. Always stretch and do two sets of abs (crunches)
Have a blast at work -- do something that makes you smile and be proud -

May 7th -- nice and early, not a single bird in the sky yet, still snoozing, but I wanted to get moving, finish all the rewrites on THE LOST KEY. Thanks for all the comments on The Other Woman -- we'll see, maybe see it in Long Beach -- Now, QUESTION:

Tell me what to do in Long Beach: Shopping, aquariums, natural gorgeousness, you get the idea --

May 6, 2014

May 6th -- You guys are really pushing The Other Woman -- it's tough, you know, you get burned two times in a row and figure you're smart enough not to let it happen three times. Am I smart enough? Do I believe you guys aren't sending me down the path to boredome and angst and curses? Come on, now, from one with slit wrists on the line, give me a rating -- on a scale from 1 to 100, (complete suck to awesome) -- where do you plunk The Other Woman? Or is it that this movie is simply better than the schlock out there?

Enough -- Trying to finish up edits on The Lost Key today -- I know, this seems to be going on and on and on and I suppose it is, but hey, nearly there --

May 2nd -- 2nd announcement

May 2nd: BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

Go to this web site -- brendanovak.auctionanything.com -- why, you ask? This is Brend'a yearly money raiser for juvenile diabetes research. Brenda Novak is also an excellent author (You've probably read her and if you haven't, try one of her novels). I'll be involved (as usual) sending signed books and then the biggie: the highest bidder having lunch with me. This year, both J.T. Ellison and I will be having lunch with the highest bidder in San Antonio at the Romance Writers of America big yearly conference (July 246h - 27th) The person winning the bid will need to get to San Antonio on his/her own, then I pick up the lunch tab. There is so much to bid on, so be sure to visit Brenda's auction site -- do let me know what you think --

May 2, 2014

2nd of May. Another Friday -- boy, do they ever come around often, like every other day, it seems -- Cooler today, thankfully, and will continue downward. You can always tell because the fog rolls in through the Golden Gate -- what a gorgeous sight that is, white billowy stuff that nearly covered the city, this a.m. only the tops of buildings visible over the fog.

What about this new movie with Scarlet Johanssen, something about she's an alien who eats gobbles down men for lunch? Who can tell me about it, and a title would be nice (Yeah, yeah, I'm too lazy to go to Fandango and check it out when I've got you guys and you know everything.)

Work continues on The Lost Key -- and guess what I discovered? I'm having a blast inputting all the changes (the editor's and mine) plus making other changes along the way -- and now they'll have this perfect unmarked digital manuscript when I'm done -- it will look like it came straight from God and is, of course, perfect.

May Day -- 2014

MAY lst! Yep, a hot gorgeous Thursday and am wearing shorts a tank top and sandals -- Those of you who still have snow -- MOVE -- although 90 degrees in San Francisco in April is pretty scary too -- supposed to cool off tomorrow, which is the gym, so that's good.

Glad most of you like the title Second Sight for the S&S for next summer (Yep, 2015 and who can imagine that?)-- SS does fit the book and that's always nice when that happens. I just realized the alliteration Second Sight and Savich and Sherlock. Still doing changes on The Lost Key -- well, actually, I'll be another solid week making the changes since everything is inputted on my digital file (this includes my editor's changes as well). I've been spoilled up until now -- the house transfers all the changes from hardcopy to digital. As I told my editor, with me doing it all, it means I'll automatically be editing/changing more as I go through --

Today is walking day. If you don't have a dog, borrow one (or a husband or a friend -- kids usually don't work) and get out there, If it's hot, then meander, but the important thing is to MOVE, okay?
