Thank You

Thank you Lord for hands to write and touch, the gifts of smell and taste.

Dear Jesus,

Thank You

For the air we breathe,
The wonder of seeing and hearing
For big toes and small
that help us stand up straight
For hands
to write and touch,
The gifts of smell and taste.

Thank You

For clothes to wear
Food to eat
House to live in
Bed to sleep on
Pillow for my head
Sheet to cover me.
Clean water
Soap to clean myself
Toothpaste to brush with
Comb to run through my hair.

Thank You

For friends I have
Parents who love
Neighbors
School and college
Teachers who guide.

Pray for People Trapped in Slavery & Human Trafficking

I remember a few years ago when we started ministry in a red-light district. I hardly could talk, because I was overcome by emotion. The children in these red-light districts almost never go to school. These young adolescent girls are growing up and actually following in the footsteps of their mothers. I can’t imagine any young girl, at the age of just 12 or 13 living in a situation like that.

When we first started thinking about starting a ministry there, I learned that it’s practically im...

Stranger in My Own Home

Stranger in my own home no more.

Stranger in My Own World

Stranger in my own world I am
Like a child lost in the crowd
Lost in the desert
Lost in nothing
Lightning strike deep in my heart
I am so afraid.

Stranger in my own land I am
Like the prodigal all alone
Friends I thought were there
But now I know it was not so
And I am left alone all is lost
I am so afraid.

Stranger in my own lotus
Of dreams and hopes
I thought would satisfy
Sun went down
Petals closed up
Is there a way out?
I am so afraid.

Stranger in my own world n...

Don’t Give Up

Don't give up - no matter what life throws your way.

All is dark
like a thousand nights
Gone too far
there is no return

The bottom has dropped out
the door slammed shut
Let me die.

If these are words
that tell of your life,
Don’t give up —
there is hope for you.

God is not angry,
He is on your side
His Son has
taken your place

To die
that you may live.

Authentic Versus Synthetic

The plant in the clay pot looked so vibrant with such lush green color. The blooming flower was so attractive, so beautiful. I began to gravitate toward this plant. Other people in the room were engaged in conversation, but I was determined to touch the leaves and smell the flower. As I got near, the scent that came from the plant was even more inviting.

As I leaned over to touch the lush green leaves, someone from behind said, “Brother K.P., that plant is not real. It is synthetic.” “No, i...

Dr. KP Yohannan Metropolitan gives hope and encouragement to believers at a church gathering.

I hope my friendship
edged you along
to love Him more dearly
who loves you so much.

I hope my prayers
kept you safe
in raging storms
and in times of despair.

I hope my faith in you
encouraged you
to stay in the battle
no matter how hard it was.

I hope you know my love for you
wishing God’s best
always for you
in all your ways.

Decision

Emotions were stirred
thoughts began to flow
will said, “think”
feelings said, “me.”

Decision was made
action was done
result was tragic
it all began with a thought.

God’s Book says
to guard your mind
for out of it come
the issues of life.

Remove the Mask and Live an Authentic Life

For many years, everybody, including me, thought the Christian brother who had come to talk to me was a godly, gifted man with much responsibility in God’s kingdom. Now he was sitting before me weeping and confessing to a secret failure that had been going on for 12 years.

When I asked him how he managed to live such a double life, he answered, “I wore a mask. When I met you and others, I knew exactly what to say. I worked hard, performed well and made things happen. Nobody suspected anything...

Nothing Is More Important Than Love

“Little puppy, what do you want?”
The big horse snorted in contempt.
“You are wasting your time in this house;
The Master has no use for dogs like you.
I carry the loads and pull his cart—
And you, a tiny thing—what can you do?”

The little dog was hurting inside;
He walked away with a heavy heart.

A cow mocked, too, with words as sharp as a sword:
“The milk I give makes me, you know,
The most valuable thing on this farm.
Dogs like you are a pest
We don’t ever want to see you again!”

The r...
