A Painful Truth
I sat at my desk at the p/t day job, typing away the day’s drudgery. Like always, my mind wandering to far more interesting places.
There, in that daydream, I found myself sitting across from Leviathan. He wore a smirk and a raised eyebrow. ”We need to have a talk.”
Uh, oh, I thought. Bringing down divine intelligence on oneself can be a pretty heavy handed thing in my experience. I began to wonder what it was that I’d done this time.
“You’re wondering why you’re not cultivating the same success...

Black Lily Excerpt (Unedited)
If you’ve been waiting for more Eric, Amy, Brad and Kali — it’s coming and it’s coming SOON! The third book in the Gilded Lily Series (Training Amy [1], Switched [2]) will be out this year.
Please enjoy this excerpt (unedited) of Black Lily, slated for release in May 2014
Eric pulled the leash drawing her toward his lap. The cane sat next to him on the couch. Just seeing it sent a shiver of anticipation through her. He hadn’t used it on her in several weeks – it was time. She crawled toward him...

Initiation – Again
So tonight, while reading through Qliphoth Opus III, I was again confronted with that same proclamation that “True” initiation involves complete deconstruction while one attempts to traverse Da’ath.
I have broached this subject in several posts HERE and HERE. I’m still not sure how I feel about this. Personally, I find it rather bold to suggest that the more tragedy one experiences, the more deconstructed one is, the more deeply “initiated” one becomes. Certainly our experiences shape us. Cert...

Rant: The Future of Esoteric Publishing
Recently I’ve been reading a lot of blogs with posts about the future of esoteric publishing. Some people have a great deal of optimism – others don’t.
Admittedly, as both a reader AND writer of esoteric books – I’m finding myself in the naysayer camp. I’m not optimistic at all. Mostly because so much crap is being churned out of the limited edition hardcover market. I won’t name any names because that’s tacky. But I will say that when it comes to limited edition hardcovers – it’s hit or miss...
Keys of Ocat: Excerpt
Unfortunately one of the things my publisher didn’t do with Keys of Ocat: A Grimoire of Daemonolatry Necromancy, was share an excerpt. So I have decided to do that here. Right now the standard editions are on sale for $30 each! Get a copy of the hardcover before it’s gone. There are also beautiful temple editions available. For TTS members and Sem Priests (exclusively), there is a private seminary edition available. Contact me privately for details. Also, be sure to check out the companion bo...

Modification & Practice Series – Mini-Guides
These were my “public service” projects for 2013. I call them that because free copies of these mini-guides are available to anyone who wants them. They’re not lengthy tomes, but each one took time to produce. Hence The Modification & Practice Series is here! There are three books in this series. The first is Modified Daemonolatry: A Guide for Daemonolaters with Disability and Illness. It is exactly what it says, a guide to help those who are disabled or suffering from a debilitating illness m...

These are a few of my favorite things…
Since I (accidentally) missed last month’s FM MGR Blog post, I figured I better make this a good one , which is rather tough given the topic. This is also my last FM MGR blog post as I’ve decided to do something different for 2014. Today is also Christmas – so Merry Christmas to all who celebrate. For everyone else, I hope you enjoyed your December holiday(s).
As you can tell by the title, this is a post about favorite things. Every time I think of favorite things I think of Julie Andrews twir...

Shifts in Priority
So many writers I know suffer from writer’s block. It appears I have the exact opposite problem. I haven’t had a lack of projects since 2005. It was almost as if when I sold my first novel, Left Horse Black, to a traditional publisher – the dam sprung a leak. The leak turned into a torrent and the dam finally broke. Now, I am swimming in ideas and projects and constantly have several books going at the same time. I’m also generally scheduled out years in advance. When this happens, I tend to...

The Paimon Factor
It’s that time of year again where I reflect on what I’m doing and how I can do things differently or better in the coming year. With this type of reflection and planning I often drop things that are no longer working for me, while taking note of what is working. I also find myself seeking advice from the Daemonic as needed.
This is what I have so far:
I made a rather difficult decision last night to drop the FM Merry-Go-Round blog tour in 2014. Don’t get me wrong – I love FM. I loved the Merry...
