Day Twenty-Six: Talismans – Intentions #DoMagick

For today’s talisman I decided to set my intentions using keywords. My word for 2019 is JOY. May major arcane card for 2019 is STRENGTH. But there were other things I wanted to incorporate, too, so I wrote down the words as they came to me. I was actually surprised by the words that stand out most, like HOME, LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, and DREAM.

That’s part of the creative process though. Allowing your mind to generate what it wants.

Day Twenty-Five: Talismans – Chaos and Creativity #DoMagick

Today’s Talisman is Chaos in Creativity. It is Apep and can be fickle.

Day Twenty-Four: Talismans – Sigil Collage #DoMagick

I’m not sure why I felt like making a sigil collage today. I suppose it’s not so much a talisman as just an external expression of my inner feelings at this point.

Choosing Kindness (Or Not)

Over the past week I received three emails from different people asking whether or not the Zagan Rite was for them. Now, normally I’m pretty honest. I will tell a person my thoughts on their use of magick for personal issues and hold nothing back. After all, they need to know up front the potential pitfalls of every operation they perform. Sometimes Zagan is a great idea — sometimes – not so much.

Zagan can make certain difficult situations more difficult. For example – I wouldn’t work with...

Day Twenty-Three: Talismans – Lucifuge Variant, Strength #DoMagick

I’m still hung up on Lucifuge this month. This is a variant to invoke strength from within. I used bold, fiery colors to indicate action.

Day Twenty-Two: Talismans – Alchemy #DoMagick

Everything is alchemical in creation. It is filtered, synthesized, distilled, macerated, etc… depending on the work.

This talisman draws awareness to the alchemy of creation.

Day Twenty-One: Talismans – Elements of Creation #DoMagick

I don’t even know if I need to really explain this one. Just FEEL the sigil. Sometimes creation isn’t visual, or a sound. It’s just a feeling. I put the elements in that particular order for a reason.

Day Twenty: Talismans – Discipline #DoMagick

Today’s talisman, it’s kind of funny because I was looking at coloring pages and I found this beautiful mandala inspired picture and I printed it out and decided to color it. It took me about forty-five minutes to do it and as I was coloring I kept thinking to myself, discipline. Commitment. Repetition. Working toward a goal. Just when I thought I was closer to being done, the page seemed to go on and on. The repeating pattern, and colors…

Forty-five minutes later, when I’d finished it, I re...

Day Nineteen: Talismans – Dominion #DoMagick

Taking back creative power is an interesting thing. It requires a great deal of confidence and living one’s truth.

It is a gentle cascade of color. A spiritual home where one lives. This talisman is to help build that foundation of energy to manifest creative dominion within the artist. The gentle blending of red, blue, and green under a single “roof” is the melding of passion, creativity, and emotional wisdom.

Day Eighteen: Talismans – Shining #DoMagick

This week in Authors Unwritten, the theme is about taking back your creative power.

That inspired this little talisman. Again, this isn’t an activated talisman as much as it’s a heartfelt expression to remind me that every man and every woman is a star. That bright light within is where our creative spark is.
