SINGLE ARTWORK & PR IMAGERY HERE
May 9, 2025 – Critically acclaimed Iranian-Dutch artist Sevdaliza returns with a seamless fusion of Latin Pop and RKT in “HEROINA” featuring Argentinian powerhouse La Joaqui. The track is inspired by the battles of the harsh realities of the music business while navigating motherhood. Sevdaliza channeled her struggles into creating HEROINA: a powerful alter ego born from resilience and a refusal to give up. “HEROINA” is a bold, defiant anthem of anti-patriarchy, an ode to feminine power in all its raw, unfiltered forms. Stream the song HERE, watch the music video HERE.
The song marks a pivotal moment in Sevdaliza’s career. After nearly 15 years of forging her path as an independent artist, a period marked by both creative triumphs and industry hardships, she found herself at a crossroads. Produced with flair and haunting urgency, “HEROINA” is a poetic disturbance: a personal and spiritual rebellion that redefines beauty and strength. The track is a tribute to those who transcend binaries and borders, and who refuse to be confined by the male gaze.
The striking visual, directed by visionary Tanu Muino (Doja Cat, Rosalía, Lady Gaga, Cardi B, Jennie, Dua Lipa) further expands the track’s powerful feminine mythology through symbolism and choreography. Sevdaliza takes center stage alongside La Joaqui and a cast of dancers, embodying her alter ego through bold movement and the commanding presence of heels, used as a symbol of feminine strength. The heel recurs as a disruptive force, breaking through boundaries. In the video’s final moments, a man sits before a display of heels, attempting to wear them, only to fail, a representation of the weight and complexity of womanhood that cannot simply be claimed. Watch the music video HERE.
More than a song, HEROINA is a movement. It creates space for misfits, mystics, and modern goddesses by channeling collective resilience and empowerment through disruption. Serving as a glimpse into her forthcoming album, the track sets the tone for a body of work that promises to be as fearless, genre-defying, and transformative as the artist herself.
Sevdaliza is set to ignite stages across the globe this summer, bringing the raw, magnetic energy of “HEROINA” to a series of unmissable festival performances:
June 16 – Noches del Botánico – Madrid, Spain
June 19 – Neo Kalorama – Lisbon, Portugal
July 6 – Les Ardentes – Liège, Belgium
July 11 – Audio River Festival – Łódź, Poland
August 9 – SZIGET Festival – Budapest, Hungary
August 23 – Open-Air – Zurich, Switzerland

Domino Kirke Releases Music Video For "Teething"
AHEAD OF MOTHERS DAY - WATCH HERE

“TEETHING”
Singer-songwriter and doula Domino Kirke has unveiled the official video for her song “Teething”, offering a raw and tender visual companion to the track which has gotten traction from its recent use in soundtracking a pivotal scene in Netflix's popular drama YOU . The video, directed by Gregory Mitnick, depicts students learning about childbirth, something that Kirke feels is an important piece missing from mainstream education.
Watch the official music video for “Teething” HERE .
Originally released on Kirke’s album The Most Familiar Star , “Teething” was written at a time when she was navigating motherhood and stepping fully into her identity as both a parent and a doula. Sparse, honest, and emotionally rich, the song has become a unique touchstone for those exploring birth not just as a physical process, but as a transformative emotional experience.
"For as long as I’ve worked as a Doula, I’ve felt it was vitally important for high schoolers to have not only Sex Education but also Childbirth Education." says Kirke. "Now, I know some schools have occasionally shown films like “The Miracle of Life,” but I never felt like that particular film accurately depicts birth. I think various birth experiences should be shown as a regular part of the curriculum in health class. Not only are the visuals an excellent form of birth control, but they root kids in the reality of how we got here. We were all born."
The video mirrors the song’s themes of vulnerability and growth. “Teething” also gained wider recognition when it was featured in Season 4 of Netflix’s YOU . Produced by Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear and co-written with longtime collaborator Timo Ellis, “Teething” blends haunting melodies with poetic lyricism, sitting comfortably beside the work of artists like Feist and Sharon Van Etten.
"Getting all these kids into a room to watch a childbirth video has always been a dream of mine. What would it wake up in them?" Kirke continues. "What would they remember or be reminded of? How do we let teenagers know that we’re here for them, stay tethered to them the way they need when our culture tells them to be, and do the exact opposite? Birth is the ultimate unifier, like death. We remember our births in our cells. Do you know your birth story?"

Orbital and Confidence Man Join For New Single "Re Lush" Out Now

JOIN FORCES ON BRAND NEW SINGLE
“RE LUSH” – OUT NOW
[LONDON RECORDS]
ORBITAL’S GROUNDBREAKING ‘BROWN ALBUM’ SET FOR REISSUE ON MAY 23 - PRE-ORDER/SAVE

“RE-LUSH”
PRE-ORDER/SAVE
‘ORBITAL 2 (THE BROWN ALBUM EXPANDED)
Orbital and Confidence Man have joined forces on brand new single “Re-lush,” out now on all digital platforms via London Records.
Listen to “Re-lush” HERE . Watch the official visualizer HERE .
The collaboration between “Godfathers of Rave” Orbital and acclaimed Australian electronic duo Confidence Man is a brand new production and release which takes direct influence from Orbital's classic “Lush 3-1” and “Lush 3-2” – both of which appear on Orbital’s seminal Brown Album - set for release in an expanded re-issue on May 23.
Of the collaboration, Orbital reveal: “Confidence Man have done that rare but always strived for thing with a remix, it’s totally Lush, totally Orbital, totally modern, and totally Confidence Man! How did they manage to get all that into one track! I’m even going to nick bits of it for when we play festivals over the summer, that’s how much we love it!”
Confidence Man adds: “Lush is one of our favorite dance tracks of all time, so we were like rabid dogs with the stems in our hands. Kids in a cooked candy store. Dreams really do come true if you dream hard enough, and we’re proof.”
“Re-lush” bridges generations of electronic music, with Confidence Man paying tribute to pioneers Orbital, whose influence helped shape their sound. And the release follows Orbital’s recent remix of Confidence Man’s single “Far Out” (LISTEN) - the continued mutual respect and collaborative approach between the two acts is clear.
The track injects Confidence Man singer Janet Planet’s signature vocals over Sugar Bones’ contemporary production, preserving Orbital's hypnotic essence while introducing fresh elements. The result is a perfect balance between nostalgic reverence and modern dance innovation, delivering a seamless fusion of two generations of electronic music.
New single “Re-lush” comes ahead of the release of Orbital’s extensive reissue of their seminal second album, commonly known as the Brown Album , on May 23 via London Records. This groundbreaking 1993 album is widely credited with pushing the boundaries of electronic music and solidifying Orbital's place as the Godfathers of Rave. This reissue marks the first time the album has been pressed on vinyl for over a decade.
The Brown Album reissue will be released with 23 additional tracks - rarities and previously unreleased material from the Brown Album period. The album has been cut at half speed, to ensure maximum audio fidelity. It will be available in a host of special physical formats, with the vinyl box set featuring a special hardback book containing unseen photos, a slipmat, a track-by-track by Phil and Paul Hartnoll themselves, and interviews and essays on the making of the album by esteemed music journalist Andrew Harrison. Also included are rare mixes from Underworld, CJ Bolland and Psychick Warriors Ov Gaia.
Released in 1993, the Brown Album defied expectations and had a significant genre and cultural impact, showcasing the duo's scope and ambition. It was also met with widespread critical acclaim upon release, with NME awarding it 9/10 in their review, and it was chosen as one of Mixmag’s best albums of all time. The album staked out a creative space far beyond the reductive world of by-numbers rave bangers, and
featured experimental elements inspired by avant-garde composer Steve Reich and nods to their squatpunk roots.
With the Brown Album, brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll created a unique listening experience, developed from live performances, moving their sound on from their debut, ‘Green Album’ released two years prior. It explores wider ranges of sounds than previously heard from the duo as they had evolved from the M25 to an international touring act - from ambient textures to hard-hitting techno, didgeridoo, and sampling an
Australian pedestrian light. It was created at the Strongroom Studio in London’s Shoreditch - a Brill building of rave and a true hub of creativity, influencing the album's direction. The album encapsulates the energy of early 90s rave culture and draws inspiration from diverse sources such as Mutoid Waste parties and the emerging jungle scene of the time.
Orbital will perform live across the UK and Europe this year. On May 23 at Chalk in Brighton (in association with Resident), Orbital will perform a full live set (Tickets & info), then they’ll be at Rough Trade East in London on May 25, where the duo will appear In Conversation with Mathew Horne, along with a signing and DJ Set (Tickets & info). And finally, they will be at London’s Pryzm in Kingston on May 26, where they’ll perform a full live set, in association with Banquet (Tickets & info).
Orbital will release their reissue of the Brown Album on May 23 via London Records. Their new single with Confidence Man, “Re-lush” is available worldwide.

Laibach's New Original Symphonic Work 'Alamut' Is Out Today On Mute
LAIBACH
SLOVENIAN COLLECTIVE AND A/POLITICALPRESENT A NEW SYMPHONIC WORK COMPOSED IN COLLABORATION WITH IRANIAN COMPOSERS AND PERFORMERS
ALAMUT IS OUT TODAY ON MUTELISTEN TO “MEDITATION II & EPILOGUE”

Today Laibach released a new symphonic work, Alamut, composed in collaboration with Iranian composers Idin Samimi Mofakham and Nima A. Rowshan, presented in partnership with A/POLITICAL. The album is out on double vinyl, double CD box set (both with extensive sleeve notes) and digitally via Mute.
Watch and listen to the final movement, “Meditation II & Epilogue” HERE.
Watch and listen to a three-minute excerpt from the final movement, “Meditation II & Epilogue” HERE.
Alamut takes inspiration from the 1938 book of the same name, a retelling of a story from eleventh century Persia by Slovenian writer Vladimir Bartol. The book, about martyrdom and the Cult of Personalities, went on to inspire the video game series Assassin’s Creed, as well as artists such as Umberto Eco, Hawkwind and William S. Burroughs (who referenced the work in Naked Lunch, Nova Express, and The Red Night Trilogy).
In Laibach’s 9-track retelling of Alamut, these ideas of radical nihilism are interwoven with the classical Persian poetry of Omar Khayyam, while the sensual verses of Mahsati Ganjavi blend with minimalist orchestral colors derived from the Iranian tradition. Hassan-i Sabbāh’s propaganda mechanisms echo in the industrial principle of the workings of the orchestra and Laibach’s unique sound.
The album was recorded at the concert in Križanke Outdoor Theatre, Monastery of the Holy Cross, Ljubljana, by Laibach and the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the Iranian conductor Navid Gohari. Laibach’s firm belief that “cultural and political differences in these complex times must be overcome through a profoundly open cooperation, against all odds” meant that the production was expected to premiere in Tehran, but the current political climate has so far prohibited this. Instead, they invited the Human-Voice Ensemble vocal group from Tehran, who worked alongside two Slovenian ensembles: the Gallina Vocal Group, and AccordiOna, a 60-piece accordion orchestra.
Alamut was composed by Luka Jamnik (Laibach), Idin Samimi Mofakham, and Nima A. Rowshan.
Laibach’s Alamut related exhibition at the Cukrarna Gallery, Ljubljana continues until May 18th. The UNTERNEHMEN BARBAROSSA project intertwines themes and visuals from Nikolaj Pirnat's partisan graphics with reference to Picasso’s Guernica, and the story of an Afghan family from Kabul who wove a carpet based on a sketch provided by the group. (May 9th, 2025) - 7-piece band Racing Mount Pleasant announces its self-titled debut album coming this Summer via R&R. The band first met and began making music together as teenagers in Michigan under the name Kingfisher, releasing one beguiling album titled Grip Your First, I’m Heaven Bound in 2022. Now, the band is resolutely introducing themselves as Racing Mount Pleasant, having started the year opening a show for Cameron Winter in Chicago and releasing their debut single “Call It Easy” last month. This new chapter for the band reveals a refined vision for themselves as a septet and conjures an expansive new sound
They’re peeling back the curtain of their debut with the eponymous new single “Racing Mount Pleasant” also out today. The sprawling new single marks the perfect opening statement for the band. It’s a song that is packed to the brim with ideas from each of the band’s seven members, with sweeping deluges of guitars, drums and saxophones, and a showcase of breakout chorus moments from several vocalists throughout its 5-minute run time.
Tonight, the band will make their headline debut in Chicago at Epiphany, followed on May 28th by a New York City date at Nightclub 101. Tickets are available HERE.
Racing Mount Pleasant began as a group of friends and like-minded musicians in Ann Arbor anchored at a single creative house that various members of the band have frequented and to this day, continue to live in near the University of Michigan. After an early album and smattering of songs under the Kingfisher, the band reimagined themselves as Racing Mount Pleasant, building and arranging a debut album that’s rooted in an academic discipline and mastery of their instruments and arrangements, while simultaneously taking a battering ram to traditional conventions. Racing Mount Pleasant demanded to stand alone as a new chapter for the group, and it’s coming.
Listen to “Racing Mount Pleasant” above, see below for more details of the band’s debut album, and stay tuned for more from Racing Mount Pleasant coming soon.

Let’s Party About it, Leftover Salmon’s new album, out today via Compass Records, reaffirms their status as pioneers of blended bluegrass and showcases their unmatched musical chemistry. For the first time ever, the band wrote the album together in a single session as a group. Longtime friend of the band and storied songwriter Aaron Raitiere (Lady Gaga, Lukas Nelson, Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson, Anderson East, The Lone Bellow, Trace Adkins, and more) also joined the band for the writing session. The resulting album captures the energy and camaraderie that have defined Leftover Salmon's three-and-a-half-decade-long career.
The album was recorded at Compass Sound Studio (formerly Glaser Sound Studio, aka “Hillbilly Central”), the iconic birthplace of Outlaw Country, with the band joined by special guests such as Del McCoury (vocals), Sam Bush (fiddle, mandolin), Jason Carter (fiddle), Jeff Coffin (saxophone), and more. The band captured an unmatched level of talent and energy, which shines through on every track.
Ahead of the release, Leftover Salmon shared “Big Wheel.” A song that Vince Herman (guitar, vocals) says has a very simple message, “The world keeps turning. Find a spot to watch it fly by and ride the wheel.”
The band also shared a new bluegrass song, “Twisted Pine” ft. Del McCoury. “‘Twisted Pine’ is my way of writing a Bluegrass song that sounds like an old traditional one,” explains Drew Emmitt (mandolin, vocals). “To me, it’s a metaphor for the changing seasons and life in general. ”
To help commemorate their 35th anniversary, Leftover Salmon will take their celebration to one of the most iconic venues in the country: Red Rocks Amphitheatre on May 26, 2025. This momentous concert will also feature rising bluegrass stars Kitchen Dwellers as a co-headliner, plus Clay Street Unit, along with special guests Bill Payne (Little Feat), Laurie Lewis, Jason Carter, AJ Lee and many more guest appearances before they embark on their Summer Tour with The Infamous Stringdusters and Kitchen Dwellers.
