Their first single “Dreaming” was produced by Captain Cuts and instantly shot to #1 of Hype Machine within the first 3 days of its revealing. You can hear “Dreaming” HERE. Smallpools explains his song by saying: "In contrast to the upbeat vibe of the music, the song talks about a moment where everything goes wrong in a situation where you thought you had it all figured out. A moment we've all experienced to some degree, but most often if we're lucky, in a dream where we get to wake up in a sweat and say, "Phewf, ok, that wasn't real."
One thing is certain though, Smallpools love to dream and they are just getting started.

“Imagine sashaying into a night club, looking to get down to some thumping electro, only to hear swing music from the 1930s. That's just what you'd hear if you happen into a club where the band Caravan Palace is playing. And if you hang for just a moment ... you'll be dancing.” – NPR
“[Panic] is terribly cool and fun to listen to. The musical magic is evident on every one of the 14 cuts… one of the best shows of the summer, no doubt.”
– KCRW

From their 2009 eponymous debut album-- which sold over 150,000 copies and made them a surprise breakout band from France that year-- to their latest album Panic , they have always combined their trademark studio technology with incredible musicianship and infectious onstage energy. Currently in the midst of a US tour, Caravan Palace has invaded the west coast, where fans will have a chance to experience their infectious live show firsthand.

HEAVEN DEBUTS TITLE TRACK FROM UPCOMING ALBUM
HEAVEN DEBUTS TITLE TRACK FROM UPCOMING ALBUMTELEPATHIC LOVE, PREMIERED VIA IMPOSE
ANNOUNCES SUMMER TOUR
"Heaven is a Brooklyn dream syndicate planted firmly between the 1985 crossroads of Paisley Underground shamble and noisepop blast...an abrasive blast of sheet-metal feedback doing its noble best to hide some spectral, Spectoral harmonies." - Village Voice
Goodnight Records is pleased to debut the swelling title track from Heaven's forthcoming Telepathic Love , out July 30th. The track premiered via Impose and is available for posting and download HERE. Impose noted that the track finds "Matt and Mikey [taking] their large empathetic affections to the bridge with the realization that the only medium to show their love is through the form of telekinesis, as Fan-Tan's Ryan Lee Dunlap strikes each Jaymar piano key with truth."
The band is also excited to announce a summer tour, kicking off in Pittsburgh on July 25th at Lava Lounge and concluding in Atlanta on August 20th at 529 Bar. Additionally, Heaven will celebrate the release of Telepathic Love with a record release party at New York City's Mercury Lounge on August 1st. Full tour dates are below.
Recently, Heaven released their video for "Colors in the Whites of Your Eyes," available for posting HERE. The clip premiered via PureVolume , who praised the song's "swirly shoegaze." Heaven also released a covers EP, featuring "Bizarre Love Triangle" by New Order, "See My Friends" by the Kinks, and "Go Your Own Way" by Fleetwood Mac, available for stream and embed HERE.
The Brooklyn-based dream pop outfit formed in late 2010 by Matt Sumrow (Dean and Britta, The Comas, Ambulance LTD) and Mikey Jones (The Big Sleep, Swervedriver, Snowden). Galvanized by recent sessions backing Adam Franklin as a part of his Bolts of Melody band, both recording and touring 2010's I Could Sleep for a Thousand Years, the pair was inspired to compose and record some original songs of their own. With Sumrow on guitar and vocals and Jones on drums, the duo filled out the lineup with Ryan Lee Dunlap (Fan-Tan) on keyboards. They honed their sound with extensive touring, including a jaunt with Swervedriver. Sonic teasers were previously offered in the form of a split single with Adam Franklin & Bolts of Melody, which was the world's introduction to "Colors in the Whites of your Eyes," and their eponymous 7", which featured "Mountains Move" and "Falling Apple."
Their proper opening salvo for Heaven has at last arrived in the form of their forthcoming LP Telepathic Love. The album is grounded by Jones' dynamic percussion. It locks in with Sumrow's dazzling array of guitar effects, but ultimately song craft trumps structure here. From the opening "Colors in the Whites of Your Eyes," with its serpentine guitar figure and wash of reverb cut from the cloth of halcyon shoegaze such as Ride and Lush, to the curdled psych groove of title-track "Telepathic Love," a certain nascent verve is evinced, that of a band hitting an arresting stride, riding a lighthearted wave of innate propulsion and melodic inventiveness.
The record encompasses a vast emotional and sonic breadth, from the reverb drenched Jesus & Mary Chain indebted harmonies on the epic "Mountains Move," to the wistful, Velvets-esque lullaby "Southern Rain," to the claustrophobic snarl of closing track "Centuries," a number that could've wandered the cosmic plank from Spacemen 3's The Perfect Prescription.
Formidable antecedents these are, but Heaven take this hodgepodge and recombine it into something idiosyncratically their own. It's approachable as pop, but beneath the surface lurks vivid bursts and blooms-dynamic fireworks displays of melodies, reverb, and synths-sonic explorations evoking sheer joy and abject sorrow. Invest the listens and you'll find yourself enraptured by their thoroughly beguiling world.
Heaven tour dates:July 14 - Rock Shop - Brooklyn, NYJuly 25 - Lava Lounge - Pittsburgh, PAJuly 27 - New Way Bar - Detroit, MIJuly 28 - Kobo - Columbus, OHJuly 30 - Empty Bottle - Chicago, ILJuly 31 - Happy Dog - Cleveland, OHAugust 1 - Mercury Lounge - New York, NY - Record Release PartyAugust 6 - Great Scott - Boston, MAAugust 15 - Pinhook - Durham, NCAugust 16 - Snug Harbor - Charlotte, NCAugust 17 - Broadways - Ashevile, NCAugust 19 - Caledonia Lounge - Athens, GAAugust 20 - 529 Bar - Atlanta, GA

Polvo returns with Siberia in October

Polvo will release Siberia , their sixth full-length album, on CD, LP and digital on October 1 in the US and October 14 in Europe.
During their initial run from 1990–1998, Polvo crafted a sound so fantastically obstinate and so perfectly cockeyed that its DNA is essentially resistant to mediocrity or repetition. On Siberia, that sound feels more limber and more aerodynamic than ever. Its songs glide and bob like UFOs, both serene and unsettling. Some of that is owed to a looser approach. “Preparing for In Prism, we labored over that material pretty intensively,” explains founding guitarist Ash Bowie. “A lot of the songs on this album were not rehearsed much at all. I’d like to think this album has a few more adventurous moments.”
An obvious point of comparison would be to Today’s Active Lifestyles , released—perhaps not coincidentally—exactly 20 years ago. Where that album thrived on a nervous, coiled energy, Siberiafeels more surefooted, more poised and controlled. It’s the work of a band that’s been here before, but the experience has only made them more at ease. Siberia is a record that’s humming with confidence, the sound of a band with nothing to prove, but proving it anyway.
Siberia track listing:
1. Total Immersion
2. Blues Is Loss
3. Light, Raking
4. Changed
5. The Water Wheel
6. Old Maps
7. Some Songs
8. Anchoress

Jacco Gardner Announces North American Tour
JACCO GARDNER ANNOUNCES FIRST NATIONWIDE TOUR IN SUPPORT OF CABINET OF CURIOSITIES, OUT NOW ON TROUBLE IN MIND RECORDS Twenty-four year old Dutch multi-instrumentalist, Jacco Gardner, returns to the U.S. this fall in further support of debut album, Cabinet of Curiosities, released earlier this year via Trouble In Mind. Recorded in his hometown of Zwaag in the Netherlands and performed almost entirely by Jacco (save the drums), Cabinet of Curiosities is a sophisticated and inviting debut. It's an album full of playful baroque arrangements featuring minor chords and plush harmonies brushing up against strings, mellotrons, harpsichords and an occasional squeezebox, painting a warm melodic palette. Though remindful of The Zombies and Syd Barrett, Jacco brings his material to its own singular place as he deftly explores the idea of reconciling one's loss of innocence and discovering the world may not be as wondrous as once believed, but in a far more accomplished and mature way than one would expect from an individual so young. Glasvegas Video For First Single "If" Starring William Shatner

James Allan, Glasvegas song-writer, guitarist, vocalist, frontman, beloved people's poet (and profound Glaswegian) explains...
"When we played on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson a while back, William Shatner introduced our live performance as he is a fan of the band. I then thought it would be a cool thing to incorporate his introduction of us into our new video since it also has a 'late show' theme. We got in touch with him to ask his permission and he got back to us almost immediately to give us the thumbs up!"
Taken from their forthcoming album 'Later...When The TV Turns To Static,' 'If' melds trademark Glasvegas' soaring choruses to a martial drum and Phil Spector inspired opening. 'If' is accompanied on the EP, which is now available on iTunes ( http://smarturl.it/GlasvegasIf ) by three exclusive recordings from the band. A cover of PJ Harvey's 'The Words That Maketh Murder', 'Press ' a brand new track written especially for the EP by James Allan and a demo version of 'Finished Sympathy' which is the last track on the new album.
"A lot of thought went into the If EP" says James "from the decision about the cover track right down to the wee <> symbols in the 'Press title, which I wanted to make look like a button on a VCR. The reason for choosing 'The Words That Maketh Murder' was that some of the covers we have done in the past have been older songs, so we wanted to go for something newer. The PJ Harvey album 'Let England Shake' is a record we had been listening to and it seemed an obvious choice to pick a song from this record. Press is a new song and is me speaking in a hypothetical sense, a 'what if-scenario', and the demo of Finished Sympathy, well it's a bloody good song from the album that we are really proud of, based on my opinion that "sympathy" is something that's finished at too young an age. You can expect heavy fireworks from the album version."
The album 'Later...When The TV Turns To Static' is available for pre-order via the band's website www.glasvegas.net and will be in-stores on September 3rd.
Glasvegas is: James Allan (Vocals, Guitar), Rab Allan (Guitar), Paul Donoghue (Bass), Jonna Löffgren (Drums)
Stay tuned for U.S. touring info.

In The Valley Below is a new musical pairing delivering hushed swirls of male and female vocals forged with dark stories of brooding riddles and romance. Jeffrey grew up in the storied musical town of Memphis, given a guitar at the age of 13 and creating music from that point forward. Angela left the binding depths of a "mostly cold and cloudy town in Michigan," for a life at sea, finding initial songwriting inspiration while living on a small boat in the West Indies. In The Valley Below was created when these two found each other, having crossed paths in artistic circles after they separately made their way to Los Angeles. The duo honed their craft together, using faithful archetypes as their inspiration, "Our biggest inspiration is powerful subjects like sex, crime and religion. And how that fits into the lives we've chosen, our dreams and struggles, mistakes and heartbreaks."
