The Felice Brothers Release New Song "Plunder"
THE FELICE BROTHERS RELEASE NEW TRACK “PLUNDER”
FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM
LISTEN NOW ON WELCOME TO NIGHT VALE PODCAST
LIFE IN THE DARK OUT JUNE 24 ON YEP ROC RECORDS
Hudson, NY — June 1, 2016 — “Plunder,” the second song to debut from The Felice Brothers’ upcoming release Life In The Dark, premieres today via Welcome to Night Vale (ep. 89: Who’s a Good Boy? Part 1). Listen to the rowdy narrative on iTunes for a healthy dose of skepticism.
Of Life In The Dark, Uncut says "Singer-guitarist Ian Felice brings real pathos to lucid tales of characters in various states of dissolution against vivid backdrops...” And “Plunder” is no exception.
Songwriter Ian Felice says, “’Plunder’ is a song about blasting off into a sky the color of Pepto Bismol and/or branches scraping the clouds."
“Plunder" follows the release of the song “Aerosol Ball,” which was first made available viathis video created by the band’s bassist.
The Felice Brothers will perform songs from Life in The Dark on upcoming tour datessupporting Conor Oberst, plus a variety of summer festivals including Brooklyn’s Northside Festival and TURF in Toronto. A full US headlining tour will be announced in the coming weeks.
Life In The Dark (available for preorder now) was recorded in a rented garage-turned-recording-studio on Letterbox Farm, a working farm in New York State’s verdant Hudson Valley in Columba County. Life In The Dark is The Felice Brothers’ ninth studio album after the 2014 release Favorite Waitress, which American Songwriter hailed as “a remarkably varied and well-paced collection of tunes.” The nine new songs on Life In The Dark find lyricist Ian Felice continuing to explore modern life in a complicated and divided America, through a cynical and occasionally heartbroken lens, in the tradition of songwriters like John Prine, Shane MacGowan and Michael Hurley.
The Felice Brothers (Ian: guitars and vocals; James Felice: accordion, keyboards and vocals; Greg Farley: fiddle and Josh Rawson: bass) incorporate their expansive knowledge of American folk music — both its creators and what makes it so compelling and enduring — with other elements of contemporary music – classic rock and blues.
Welcome to Night Vale is a twice-monthly podcast in the style of community updates for the small desert town of Night Vale, featuring local weather, news, announcements from the Sheriff's Secret Police, mysterious lights in the night sky, dark hooded figures with unknowable powers, and cultural events.

The Mynabirds Release New Video for "Believer" + West Coast Tour Dates
The Mynabirds Release
New Video for “Believer”

Currently On West Coast Tour
6/7 - San Francisco, CA at The Chapel
6/8 - Big Sur, CA at Henry Miller Library
6/11 - Sonoma, CA at Huichica Festival
"Lovers Know sounds like a collection of jewels, bright and eclectic... [and] writ larger than anything else Burhenn has done with The Mynabirds." - NPR
“Don’t be surprised to find yourself falling in regretless love as you watch her…” - KEXP
The Mynabirds (moniker of singer-songwriter Laura Burhenn) have just released a strikingly ominous video to accompany track “Believer,” which comes off album Lovers Know released last August via Saddle Creek. Premiered on BlackBook , the video was directed by Michael Erik Nikolla and and produced by Gabriel Younes. With nods to David Lynch and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” the video begins with Laura walking through the streets of her Echo Park neighborhood where she comes face-to-face with a cult in white jumpsuits — with some very familiar faces from Saddle Creek and other bands. Look closely and you’ll see cameos from members of Rilo Kiley, The Good Life, Big Harp, Neva Dinova and Whispertown.
Burhenn tells BlackBook of the video, “‘Believer’ is a song about completely losing any shred of faith you have left, in yourself most of all. When I was talking to Michael, the director, about that, he came up with this brilliant twist to make the video a horror-tinged love song to my new neighborhood and the friends who’ve stood by my side through it all. Sometimes you’ve got to run through the darkest night to get to the dawn.”
Lovers Know, The Mynabirds’ third album, was recorded over a yearlong period in Los Angeles, Joshua Tree, Nashville, and Auckland, New Zealand. It’s new territory for Burhenn, forging into 80s, 90s and futuristic soundscapes, recalling Kate Bush, Sinead O’Connor, The Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine and even 90s hip hop and R&B. The album may be loaded with a fresh palette of new sounds (swarms of synths, gauzy electric guitars, and electronic drums), but her brooding, unmistakable voice leads the way.
Watch and share “Believer” here and don’t miss The Mynabirds as they embark on a string of intimate, stripped-down west coast tour dates.

Third Man Records to release Dwight Yoakam "Blues Series" 7"
DWIGHT YOAKAM BLUE SERIES"TOMORROW'S GONNA BE ANOTHER DAY" TO BE RELEASED JUNE 10TH
Dwight Yoakam: Kentucky born, Ohio raised; Tennessee jilted, California praised. That's the way the story goes, at least. In 1977 when Dwight moved to Nashville to pursue his honky-tonk dreams, Nashville was moving away from the traditional and Countrypolitan sound it had spent the better part of a century developing, and more towards the pop-country that still inhabits its airwaves. Dwight found that his musical aspirations were better suited on the leading edge of the post-Bakersfield, Los Angeles "Cowpunk" scene where his music was better received by the West coast punks and drunks than the then-current Music City establishment. The Nashville industry eventually embraced the LA-based outsider in the late 80's and Dwight Yoakam turned out to be one of the best damn artists country music has ever known. Today, the massive influence of Yoakam's unique style of country music on Nashville is clearly demonstrated by the sheer number of times "Guitars, Cadillacs" is picked on lower Broadway each day. It never gets old. It's practically the city anthem. Third Man Records, as you know, is thrilled to call Nashville home to its label headquarters, and calling Nashville home means putting out some real country music records. We did it earlier this year from one Margo Price, and we're doing it again now, just in time for the CMA Music Festival next week. Dwight Yoakam recently took to the studio with our fearless leader Jack White III to record two of the swingin'est tunes we've ever had covered in our Blue Series: "Tomorrow's Gonna Be Another Day" (Boyce/Venet, popularized by The Monkees) b/w "High On The Mountain of Love" (Dorman, popularized by Kenny Lynch, then Johnny Rivers, then the Beach Boys, and recorded by many others along the way). Produced by White and backed by the Third Man band of all-stars - Lillie Mae Rische, Daru Jones, Cory Younts, Dominic Davis, Fats Kaplin - these two renditions, into which Dwight's delivery breathes new life, proves that with the right artist behind the microphone, any song'll make an even better country song. Now, have you ever heard anything more Nashville than that? Listen to a clip of each song here . "Tomorrow's Gonna Be Another Day" is available for pre-order now and officially in-stores June 10th, 2016. Pre-order is now available here .

Bay Area heavy-Krautrock-psych band Mondo Drag announce their residency throughout August at Los Angeles' popular live venue The Echo. The band will be joined on two shows by RidingEasy Records labelmates Slow Season, as well as popular locals Jesus Sons and more during the residency. Please see all dates below.Mondo Drag's recently released album, The Occultation of Light has been hailed as one of the Top 10 Metal Albums of 2016 by Consequence of Sound HERE. Metal Hammer rates it 4/5 stars, calling it a "mind-opening, progressive psych sojourn." The Occultation of Light is available to stream and share via Soundcloud and YouTube.
Most of The Occultation of Light was recorded live, tracked and mixed on analog tape by Phil Manley (Trans Am, The Fucking Champs) at El Studio in San Francisco. Mondo Drag had just come off the road after a month out with labelmates Electric Citizen and Slow Season, and their stage-honed, hard-won chemistry bleeds into every second of the record. Songs are warm, psychedelic and grooving, but have a poise born out of classic prog as well. And as much as their new Bay Area home is a factor, that just wouldn't be possible without the road time.
The Occultation of Light is available on LP, CD and download via RidingEasy Records as of February 26th, 2016.

AC/DC Announce Final Leg of their 'Rock or Bust' World Tour
AC/DC ANNOUNCE FINAL LEG OF THEIR 'ROCK OR BUST' WORLD TOUR
TEN RE-SCHEDULED SHOWS IN USA SET FOR AUGUST & SEPTEMBER NEW LINE UP TAKES EUROPE BY STORM TO CRITICS ACCLAIM ACDC.comWhile packing out stadiums across Europe to rave reviews from critics and fans alike this summer, AC/DC have today announced full details of their re-scheduled USA tour dates. The AC/DC 'Rock or Bust World Tour' returns to America for ten final shows in August and September 2016. They are in Greensboro, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Columbus, Cleveland. Detroit, Buffalo, New York, Washington & Philadelphia. Original tickets will be honored for all rescheduled dates, refunds are available at point of purchase. AC/DC have played to over 4 million fans on the 'Rock or Bust World Tour' and the current line-up of Angus Young, Cliff Williams, Stevie Young, Chris Sladeand Axl Rose are set to continue their global trek with a return, for the final leg, to the USA (for the new USA tour schedule see below). The second leg of AC/DC's European tour which kicked off in Lisbon on May 7 has been greeted with acclaim from all quarters. Rolling Stone headlined with''AC/DC is a triumph - this new union is one of the touring hits of the summer'' while the Guardian in London called the gig - "triumphant...a rock n roll victory on wheels..." The Telegraph critic added: "Angus Young is a consummate showman rocks the duck walk... Axl hit every note and sent it to the heavens... simply great." Not for the first time last year, AC/DC were hailed as the biggest selling live act in the world when, sadly, vocalist Brian Johnson was forced to step down midway through the U.S. tour after being advised by doctors that he risked total hearing loss if he continued to perform live. For the shows in Europe with Axl Rose on vocals, AC/DC have been surprising fans by including rarely played tunes from their formidable archive such as 'Rock 'n' Roll Damnation', 'Riff Raff', 'Touch Too Much' and 'If You Want Blood (You've Got It).'Angus Young commented: "This band has got a ton of energy and you're going to see a fusion of all that terrific chemistry that we have felt ever since rehearsals in Lisbon. I want to get back out there onstage in the US with these guys so our audience can see and feel it too." AC/DC released their highly acclaimed studio album, 'Rock or Bust', in December 2014 and it peaked at #1 in twelve countries and #3 in the U.S. Billboard charts. In a career that spans over four decades, AC/DC have sold an incredible 200 million albums worldwide, over 70 million in the US alone, producing landmark albums such as 'Highway to Hell' and the seminal 'Back in Black' which is the biggest selling hard rock album ever, helping to make AC/DC one of the top five selling bands in American music history. Their distinctive brand of high voltage rock 'n' roll, awesome stadium rock shows and everlasting anthems continues to energize fans globally from Adelaide to Atlanta, from Prague to Philadelphia and all points between. The rescheduled AC/DC 'Rock or Bust' U.S. dates are:

In addition, it includes “I Need a Forest Fire” [feat. Bon Iver] and “Radio Silence”, both of which premiered on BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac show. In addition to the Bon Iver feature, Frank Ocean and Rick Rubin also contributed to The Colour In Anything as co-writer and co-producer, respectively.
BLAKE’s touch can be felt throughout the modern music landscape. He lent his inimitable voice and production to “Forward” on Beyoncé’s chart-dominating #1 blockbuster Lemonade . In addition, he co-wrote the opener “Pray You Catch Me.” Following the release of 2013’s Overgrown , BLAKE garnered a “Best New Artist” nomination at the 2014 GRAMMY® Awards, a nod for “British Male Solo Artist” at the 2014 BRIT Awards and won Great Britain’s esteemed “Mercury Prize”. To cap it off BLAKE also took home the Ivor Novello Award for “Best Contemporary Song” for the track Retrograde. He’s graced the stage at Coachella, Bonnaroo, Governors Ball, and countless other festivals as well as performing sold out headline tours.

Welcome to Nashville's Savoy Motel - an intensely orchestrated and unique hybrid of glam rock, boogie, soul, power-pop, garage, punk, dance music and showmanship all rolled into one.
Savoy's whole package opens up their horizons, and yours, to a sound made by four friends tired of witnessing music eat its own tail; with unclouded judgment, creative refinements, and peerless technique, they grab that tail and stick it into a wall socket, putting the cap back on 15+ years of rock revivalism and strident genre adherence. And they make it seem easy.
Savoy Motel are thrilled to announce they've signed to What's Your Rupture? who've recently given us memorable releases from Parquet Courts, Royal Headache, Iceage and more. After their debut Hot One 7" which Consequence of Sound raved "a style of funky rock that feels somehow detached from the reality of the present, or really any reality at all. It's slick yet shambolic, grooving yet kooky.." and a slew of dates with Black Lips, Savoy hit the road this June playing Brooklyn, Chicago, Philadelphia and more - full list of dates below.
Today they share new single "Souvenir Shop Rock" which NME claims is "the best guitar-based offering by a new act I've heard all year."

Savoy confess they "use rock and roll as a vehicle to reach and promote the feeling of TOTAL FREEDOM and "are defined more by a feeling than a sound." The about face in approach is something the members of Savoy Motel had worked up to for years in their earlier projects (Cheap Time, Heavy Cream). They are prepared to change minds.
Stay tuned.
