LISTEN & SHARE: Breanna Barbara - "Nothin But Your Lovin" Today, BULLETT premieres Breanna Barbara's live video for "Nothin But Your Lovin." They praised her saying that she's not your typical cute indie chick, "This girl has got pipes, not to mention the unabashed soulfulness of the blues musicians of days past."

The singer-songwriter’s forthcoming Mirage Dreams LP introduces a bold new voice steeped in occult blues (think of it as a Southern Gothic fusion of blues and psychedelia), with songs about losing a parent to an overdose and a New York of empty clubs and sweaty, unairconditioned lofts but also about falling in love and finding an artistic voice.

Recorded and produced by Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes, Hurray for the Riff Raff) at The Bomb Shelter in East Nashville over two weeks in the winter of 2014, the album features Ben Trimble of Fly Golden Eagle (backing vocals, keys); Jem Cohen of The Ettes (backing vocals); Matt Menold (lead guitar, organ), Charles Garmendia (drums), and Eduardo DuQuesne (bass) of Clear Plastic Masks; Jon Etes (upright bass, pedal steel, keys); and David Grant (drums, percussion).

Breanna, who’d self-released two albums (Theoria and Baby Where You Are) on Bandcamp, sent her “funny little iPhone recordings” to Andrija, who invited her to come down to Nashville. She packed her guitar and drove down in the van she slept in some nights: “Every morning we'd meet around 10, drink coffee, listen to the acoustic demos I sent him, and brainstorm how we wanted the song to turn out. Then we'd go into the studio and do a few takes,” recalls Breanna. “I had literally never recorded with more than my iPhone or computer, so going from that to working with someone who has platinum records on his bathroom floor was pretty surreal.”

Breanna was born in Edina, Minnesota and raised in Bradenton, Florida. She began writing and performing songs at house shows and bars in St. Augustine, FL, and traveled around the north and southeast before settling in New York City. She has shared bills with Deap Vally, Yak, and The Mystery Lights, with upcoming concerts opening for Deer Tick, Margo Price, Wild Beasts, and Bo Ningen.

Mirage Dreams comes out on July 22, 2016, the first release from new NYC boutique label No Roads Records.TOUR DATES

Warhaus Premieres "I'm Not Him" via Blackbook

Warhaus Premieres "I'm Not Him" via Blackbook

Debut LP Out September 2nd via Play It Again Sam/[PIAS]
Photo Cred:LISTEN & SHARE: Warhaus  - "I'm Not Him"

"With its spooky piano, haunted strings and sinisterly plucked upright bass, “I’m Not Him” strikingly recalls “Red Right Hand” era Cave."  - BlackbookWarhaus is the artistic alter ego and solo recording project of Maarten Devoldere who (along with Jinte Deprez) fronts the urbanely soulful Belgian rock band Balthazar. Warhaus’ debut album We Fucked A Flame Into Being will be released on September 2nd.

On "I'm Not Him," Devoldere sows seeds of despair in an unstable world, smokily crooning through Biblically-inspired morality fables: "You want magic, count me in / You want Jesus, well I'm not him / You're an angel or a whore / Tell me who you're working for / Loving you isn't easy you know / But it's a motherfucker not to do so…"

The title of Warhaus’ new album, We Fucked A Flame Into Being (a direct quote from Lady Chatterley's Lover by DH Lawrence), was "too good to pass on!” declares Devoldere. It is indeed a fitting title for an album where every song celebrates the inscrutability of encounters and pays tribute to the decadence and intensity that life can offer.

Although Maarten Devoldere has up until recently kept his Warhaus persona well under the radar, the glimpses offered up to this point (such as the debut track "The Good Lie") have conjured up a darkly esoteric lyrical universe, fueled by desire and love, haunted by a hunger for the fleeting, yearning to express the unsayable; We Fucked A Flame Into Being probes such depths savagely.

“I love contradictions,” asserts Devoldere. “They are musically very appealing to me: raw vs. fundamentally passionate, brutal vs. romantic, art vs. Kitsch, archaic vs. modern". The French sixties, a touch of exoticism, a careless apathy: Leonard Cohen and Serge Gainsbourg are never far away, as We Fucked A Flame Into Being cleverly coalesces fifty years of music history.

“I'm at the end of my twenties now. With this record I close an important period," avers Devoldere. “It’s an ode to love, to its excesses and elusiveness. Though love songs are a form of advertising: you portray a woman and the listener should fall in love with her too.” TRACKLISTING

BORIS - Pink (Deluxe Edition): 10th anniversary reissue w/ 9 unreleased songs from original 'Pink' sessions

BORIS - Pink (Deluxe Edition)10th Anniversary reissue of landmark album featuring 9 unreleased songs
Hear & share "Are You Ready?" (Soundcloud) & "SOFUN" (Soundcloud)

Japanese trio Boris premiere an unreleased track from the 10th anniversary deluxe reissue of Pinktoday via NPR. Hear and share "SOFUN"  HERE . (Direct Soundcloud).
Boris will launch a full North American headlining tour in July in which they will perform Pink in its entirety. The band's new Sargent House labelmates Earth will play all dates except two in Canada. Please see complete dates below.
Pitchfork previously announced the deluxe edition release with the premiere of "Are You Ready?"HERE. (Soundcloud).

Pink, the landmark 2006 album by Boris, which earned widespread critical praise -- including Pitchfork's Top 10 Albums of 2006 -- will be reissued in a deluxe edition this summer to commemorate the album's 10th anniversary.
The deluxe 3xLP box set and 2xCD features an entire album of previously unreleased tracks recorded during the Pink album sessions in 2004-2005. The bonus Forbidden Songs collects 9 tracks of the same hyperactive, accessible and aggressive caliber of the original album, available here for the first time, mixed (with additional editing and arrangement) in 2015 and mastered in January 2016. Like the original U.S. vinyl release, the Pink (Deluxe Edition) LP set has three longer edits of songs that were truncated on the original CD issue ("Farewell", "Pseudo-Bread" and "My Machine"). Otherwise, both the LP and CD versions have the same audio as the 2006 release. And, Pink (Deluxe Edition) also features the artwork of the original Japanese release, made by the band members themselves.
In 2006, Pink was Boris' 10th album and a major breakthrough that earned new fans outside of the underground metal community -- the track "Farewell" was even featured in Jim Jarmusch's classic filmThe Limits of Control. The album landed on countless "best of the year" lists from underground metal sites to mainstream rock magazines. And the praise was certainly well deserved for its more accessible sound and explorations into shoegaze and ambient structures alongside brutal noise, searing psychedelia and apocalyptic doom.
Pink succeeds at what most bands cannot do: swiftly changing styles from song to song, while always sounding distinctly like themselves. The seamless, explosive set of fan favorites from the classic longtime lineup of drummer/vocalist Atsuo, guitarist/vocalist Wata and bassist/guitarist/vocalist Takeshi still sounds as mindblowing as it did a decade ago. And, Forbidden Songs continues with the same unbridled creativity and ferocity. These songs aren't outliers, they're rather more like the director's cut version of the original album.
Boris is now in their 24th year as a band -- 20 years in the classic trio lineup -- and showing no signs of slowing down. They have always demolished expectations of what a band can do musically and aesthetically. And in looking back with Pink (Deluxe Edition), the band's trajectory as experimenters and innovators over subsequent releases becomes even clearer.
Pink (Deluxe Edition) will be available everywhere (excluding Japan) on July 8th on 3xLP box set, 2xCD and download via Sargent House. iTunes pre-orders include a free immediate download of "Are You Ready?" HERE, 3xLP box set and 2xCD are available for pre-order via Hello Merch.   BORIS / EARTH / SHITSTORM TOUR 2016:07/22 San Diego, CA @ The Casbah07/23 Phoenix, AZ @ Crescent Ballroom07/25 Dallas, TX @ Trees07/26 Austin, TX @ The Mohawk07/28 Ybor City, FL @ The Orpheum07/29 Orlando, FL @ The Social07/30 Atlanta, GA @ The Masquerade 07/31 Asheville, NC @ The Orange Peel08/01 Nashville, TN @ Third Man Records08/03 Carrboro, NC @ Cat's Cradle08/04 Washington, DC @ 930 Club08/05 Brooklyn, NY @ Warsaw08/06 Philadelphia, PA @ Union Transfer08/07 New Haven, CT @ College Street Music Hall08/09 Boston, MA @ Paradise Rock Club08/10 Montreal, QC @ Bar Le Ritz P.D.B. (no Earth)08/11 Toronto, ON @ Lee's Palace (no Earth)08/12 Cleveland, OH @ Grog Shop08/13 Grand Rapids, MI @ Pyramid Scheme08/14 Chicago, IL @ Metro08/16 Madison, WI @ Majestic Theater08/17 Minneapolis, MN @ Fineline Music Cafe08/18 Lawrence, KS @ Granada Theatre08/19 Denver, CO @ Bluebird Theater08/20 Salt Lake City, UT @ Urban Lounge08/22 Seattle, WA @ Neumo's08/23 Portland, OR @ Wonder Ballroom08/25 San Francisco, CA @ The Fillmore08/26 Los Angeles, CA @ The Regent Theater08/27 Las Vegas, NV @ Hard Rock Hotel - Psycho Las Vegas (Boris only)

PUBLIC ACCESS T.V. SHARE "SUDDEN EMOTION," ANNOUNCE ALBUM DETAILS FOR DEBUT ALBUM

PUBLIC ACCESS T.V. SHARE "SUDDEN EMOTION," ANNOUNCE ALBUM DETAILS FOR DEBUT ALBUMNEVER ENOUGH; TOUR Public Access T.V. is excited to share "Sudden Emotion" off forthcoming album Never Enough, out September 23, 2016 on Cinematic. The garage band successfully nabbed the attention of NME early on, with the outlet singing their praises after uploading just one song to SoundCloud.  The quartet was declared "New York City's hottest new band" by the extremely influential outlet.  Check out the trackhere.
The band is hot off of Bonnaroo and Governor's Ball Festivals- all before even releasing their first album.  In addition, both NME, and Entertainment Weekly declared the group one of the "buzziest" bands at SXSW this past year.  Extremely high praise for a festival boasting thousands of artists! The group played their first live show at the legendary East Village bar Niagara, to a packed crowd of NYC press, who's who, it girls, and record label representatives.  Before anyone could pin them down they headed to England to hone their sound.  Better still, they toured under the fake band name "The iLL Herbs."  Regardless of touring under a pseudonym, the tour was a smashing success, culminating in their performance at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton. Then, in March 2015, while on tour in California, the band flicked on the TV to see live pictures of their Manhattan loft on every single news channel. Their home was on fire from a gas explosion and had collapsed into rubble. "We wrote there, rehearsed, recorded, lived, everything," says John. "It was home...and then it was completely gone." Demoralized and thousands of miles from NYC, PATV did the only thing they could think of.  They stayed out on the road.  As John says: "We told our agent to book as many gigs as possible - because we didn't want to deal with the reality of the situation. We actually had nowhere to go." That chain of events set PATV on an entirely new and fruitful path. Among those frantic gig bookings were slots on European festivals, UK house parties, and dates with The Strokes, FIDLAR, Palma Violets, and Hinds, with many more big things to come for the group!  Check out the band at one of the live dates listed below! Public Access T.V. SOPHOMORE LP 'BODY WORK' - OUT AUGUST 12th
ON 100% ELECTRONICA

300 BLACK VINYL AVAILABLE NOW FOR PREORDER
Negative Gemini - "Body Work"
Negative Gemini 's sweltering new single  "Don't Worry Bout The Fuck I'm Doing"  is a listless anthem as equally well suited for the dancefloor as it is for languidly wandering through the scorching NYC summer streets. Lyrically, the track is an expression of anger and frustration with the inability of many women to simply exist in public spaces without feeling harassed or objectified by catcallers. "Don't Worry Bout The Fuck I'm Doing" is from Lindsey's upcoming album,  Body Work  which will be out August 12th on  100% Electronica . The Album will be available digitally on the date of release, but 300 vinyl copies are available now for  preorder .

"'Don't Worry Bout The Fuck I'm Doing' is sonically consistent with her futuristic take on electronic pop. Her voice rides the hypnotic beat, but her charged lyrics take front stage" - The FADER

"When French lets loose emotionally, as on ‘You Never Knew’ or last year’s stunning ‘Forget Your Future’, it’s crushing. The shitheads here though only warrant the calm instruction of the title and with it French shows off another facet to her increasingly exciting work." - FACT

"one of our favorite tracks from the record, an emphatic middle finger to the disgusting catcallers she encounters on a daily basis in NYC .. ethereal electronic pop anthem." - Gorilla vs Bear

"A gorgeous, space-y spin on NG's signature, forward-thinking electropop, it's definitely a headbobber." - PAPER Mag

"Your summer anthem is here, courtesy of Negative Gemini. One of our favorite up-and-coming singer/producers ... this synthy indie track induces long summer joyride yearning alongside unforgiving bad bitch vibes." - Nasty Gal

Choir of Young Believers Share New Video For "Serious Lover"; New Album Grasque Out Now Via Ghostly International

Choir of Young Believers Share New Video For "Serious Lover"
New Album Grasque Out Now Via Ghostly InternationalPerforming At Denmark's Roskilde Festival & Announce Fall European Tour Dates Watch "Serious Lover" herehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A69_Q38YLDUStream "Grasque" in full herehttps://soundcloud.com/ghostly/sets/choir-of-young-believersWith new album  Grasque  out now via Ghostly International, Choir of Young Believers has released the video for "Serious Lover". Choir of Young Believers will be playing at Roskilde Festival, along with other European festivals, and embarking on a European tour in the autumn, with a headline London show on 2nd November at Village Underground.
Directed by Camilla Myhre, the ' Serious Lover'  provides some beautifully smoky visuals and features to match the smouldering electronic sounds of the the Copenhagen-based Jannis Makrigiannis. Grasque exhibits an array of complex influences and styles ranging from smoky jazz to experimental electronics to smouldering R&B sounds. The album’s title was in fact the name given by frontman Jannis Makrigiannis to the imaginary band he’d conjured up in his head while finding inspiration for the album. Though not his original intention, he soon realised that he could bring his new ideas and music together into a new Choir of Young Believers record. The result is confident and expansive, exploring a multitude of musical styles whilst retaining the integral components of Choir of Young Believers' sound.
It was the end of 2013 and Jannis Noya Makrigiannis, the frontman and principal persona behind Choir of Young Believers, was worn out. He’d been touring the band’s last record, the haunting  Rhine Gold , for the better part of a year and felt confused and adrift, and didn’t feel like playing music. He was doubting the future of the band. The way he coped was to detach. He postponed writing in favor of travelling, deciding that instead of diving back into the creation of another record, he would allow himself to move in whatever direction he desired. His impulses guided his decisions; he wasn’t feeling very inspired by the guitar or the piano, so he started to fiddle around with a small pocket sampler his mother got him for Christmas, using it to make small soundscapes, beats and collages.

Those early experiments became the building blocks for Grasque, from the warped, weird choral vocals that open "Serious Lover" to the breezy, breathy R&B of "Jeg Ser Dig," on which he sounds like a Scandinavian Sade. The record pulls in a host of unlikely influences: smoky jazz on the noirish "The Whirlpool Enigma" , twinkling pop on "Gamma Moth" and sun-bathed soul on
"Cloud Nine." It’s not so much a reinvention as a redirection, maintaining all of the group’s essential elements but setting them within a new context.

The result is an album that is confident and expansive, incorporating an encyclopedia of styles while still maintaining the essential elements of Choir of Young Believers’ DNA. It’s pop music, put through a kaleidoscopic filter.  “I must admit, one of the things I worried about was ‘What will people think?'" Makrigiannis says. “With almost all of these songs, I had been in doubt. Some, I felt, were too poppy, others too experimental -- some didn’t even feel like songs, but more like trips, or feelings. Some even had Danish and Greek lyrics. But now, it’s all Choir of Young Believers to me, and it feels great to have pushed the walls around the band, giving it a bit more space. It’s weird for me to think about all that doubt -- ”Could I do this? Could I do that? I mean, it’s my f*cking band. I can do what I want with it. Right?” Grasque  is available on CD, digitally and as a limited color double LP, along with a regular black vinyl edition Choir of Young Believers Tour Dates: June 30 - Roskilde Festival, Denmark. TicketsJuly 2 - Freedom Festival, Finland. TicketsJuly 17 - Positivus Festival, Latvia. TicketsAugust 26 - Amsterdam Woods Festival, Netherlands. TicketsSeptember 22 - September 24 - Reeperbahn Festival Hamburg, Germany. Tickets

Following a successful U.S. visit last week in which she appeared to rapt crowds atNYC’s Central Park Summerstage and Washington DC’s The Hamilton, French-Israeli songstress Yael Naim announces a series of upcoming North American tour dates this Fall in support of her internationally acclaimed album  Older  in the U.S. September 2nd via Thirty Tigers.

Revered for her soulful yet delicate vocals, Naim first gained acclaim as a breakout success both in her native France and abroad when her 2008 self-titled album went Gold, thanks in no small part to lead single “ New Soul ”. The tune was handpicked by Steve Jobs himself for this Apple Campaign, and went on to see 2M in global sales and charting in the Billboard Top 100.

The 2016 French “Artist Of The Year” and “Album Of The Year” nominee now sets her sites on the U.S. with the stateside release of her third LP Older (certified Gold in France). Mixed by Grammy winning producer Michael Brauer (Coldplay, Grizzly Bear, M Ward), the album is a collaborative effort by Naim and producer David Donatien and was recorded in their home on the outskirts of Paris. It paints the picture of a woman who has grown and come into herself, having become a mother for the first time and lost a beloved grandparent.

With her sights set on North America and more in the works for 2016, stay tuned for more Yael Naim news and be sure to catch her live this fall!
